DESCRIPTION
The Cold Weather Kits consist of a block heater with all necessary mounting hardware, a battery warmer with a thermostat built into the battery pad, and a one year limited warranty. When temperatures fall below an acceptable level, the thermostat activates the battery warmer maintaining optimum battery temperature for the best generator starting. These kits are recommended for generators installed in regions where the temperature regularly falls below 32 °F (0 °C). When installing a cold weather kit, it is required to replace the engine oil with the proper grade oil according to the oil viscosity chart shown below. Synthetic oil will provide better cold starting capability over conventional oil.
