WARNINGS

  • Before using the product for the first time, please read the instructions for use below and retain them for later reference. The original instructions were written in the Hungarian language.
  • This appliance may only be used by persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking in experience or knowledge, as well as children from the age of 8, if they are under supervision or have been given instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety and they have understood the hazards associated with use. Children should not be allowed to play with the unit. Children from the age of 8 May only dean or perform user maintenance on the appliance under supervision. Children below the age of 8 years should be kept away from the appliance, and its power cable.
  • Do not use too much tin, just as much as necessary.
  • If it is possible, use a soldering tin filled with resin!
  • It is not recommended to use any other soldering material besides/instead of soldering resin, because those are often acidic (soldering paste, soldering oil…). If you do use any of these, make sure to remove the remnants when finished soldering.
  • The melting point of different soldering irons can vary significantly, this can increase soldering time.
  • Operate the device discontinuously!
  • When taking a break during soldering, or when finished, make sure there are no flammable materials near the device!
  • During use, and after it avoids touching the soldering tip, only hold the grip!
  • If possible do not hold the workpiece in your hand, rather place it in a grip, or on a sub-frame!
  • Keep in mind that overheating can also damage the soldered parts or connectors!
  • Only work in a room with good ventilation, and do not breathe in the poisonous fumes created during soldering!
  • After use does not leave the still hot soldering iron unattended!
  • Do not remove the soldering tip, until the device is warm, because it may shorten the life of the heating element!
  • Always let the soldering iron cool down naturally by itself!
  • The power cord must not come into contact with the hot metal parts!
  • Before starting any repair work (pl.: soldering tip-change), the power cable must be disconnected, the soldering gun must be powered off.
  • Protect the gun from direct heat, water, humidity, and dust!
  • Only use indoors, under dry circumstances!
  • Do not use in road, water, and air vehicles. In some countries, national regulations may govern its use from a health point of view.

Caution: Risk of electric shock!
Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the unit or its accessories. In case any part is damaged, immediately power off the unit and seek the assistance of a specialist.
In the event that the power cable should become damaged, it should only be replaced by the manufacturer, its service facility, or similarly qualified personnel.

CLEANING, MAINTENANCE

In order for the proper operation of the device, with a frequency depending on the severity of the contamination, at least once a month it should require deaning.

  • Before the deaning turn, the device is off then cut the power by removing the plug from the socket
  • After usage leaves it to cool down for at least 20 minutes, before starting to dean or changing the tip!
  • Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use aggressive chemicals! The inside of the device, and the electrical parts cannot come into contact with liquids!

DISPOSAL

Waste equipment must be collected and disposed of separately from household waste because it may contain components hazardous to the environment or health. Used or waste equipment may be dropped off free of charge at the point of sale, or at any distributor which sells equipment of identical nature and function. Dispose of the product at a facility specializing in the collection of electronic waste. By doing so, you will protect the environment as well as the health of others and yourself. If you have any questions, contact the local waste management organization. We shall undertake the tasks pertinent to the manufacturer as prescribed in the relevant regulations and shall bear any associated costs arising.

Functions

PP 75
The soldering gun is useable primarily when working with telecommunicational and strong current electric devices, and connectors, and useable for soft soldering of low heat-demand switches. Advantages over a traditional soldering iron:
– huge operational and fire safety
-fast heat-up – energy-saving
– easy to use

OPERATION

The device’s security transformer after the push button is pressed within a few seconds heats up the soldering tip to operational temperature. After 12 seconds of operation, take a break for 48 seconds before starting the next soldering. Otherwise, the unit will overheat, and the life of the tip and the transformer may be shortened. For the first time use, dip the solder tip in the soldering resin and coat it with tin. This will significantly increase the life of the soldering tip. The soldering tip which burns out is a result of a natural wear-out, it should be replaced regularly. The surface to be soldered must be thoroughly cleaned and the solder tip must be dipped in the solder paste. If the tip is filled with resin, then you can leave this last step. The built-in LED lamp is used to illuminate the location of soldering and to indicate power-on condition. The LED lamp is not replaceable, the malfunction of it does not influence the device’s operation.
