Safety instructions
Warning according to EN 60335-2-23 : This appliance can be used by
children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in
a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with
the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.
Warning according to IEC-Standard : This appliance is not intended for
use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not
be made by children without supervision.
WARNING: Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or
other vessels containing water. When the hairdryer is used in a bathroom,
unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when
the hairdryer is switched off.
For appliances with wall holder:
The hair dryer must be fixed in such a way that the hand-held part, when the
cable is fully extended, is out of reach of a person using a bath or shower.
The hair dryer must be installed outside the reach of a person using a bath or
shower.
For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD)
having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in
the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Do not submerge in water, wet clean or use with wet hands. Never use hairspray
while the appliance is switched on. Always disconnect from main after use.
Never cover the air suction or exhaust opening.
Do NOT wind-up the cable.
Mains voltage
Connect only to current 220-240 V.
This appliance meets EEC directives:
Low voltage directive: 2014/35/EU
EMV directive: 2014/30/EU
The appliance is not suitable for sustained continuous use.
Overheating protection
The appliance switches off automatically in the case of thermal overload.
When this happens, turn the switch to ,0″ and eliminate the external causes of
overheating. Once the appliance has cooled down it will be ready to use again.
Defective hair dryers may only be repaired by qualified experts.
CARE
As a general rule, the mains plug must be disconnected, or in the case of hair dryers with wall bracket, the switch on the wall bracket must be switched to “OFF”: Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth. Air intake grille and filter (located behind the removable air intake grille) should be regularly cleaned or replaced if necessary.
DISPOSAL
**** This product must be delivered at the end of its service life at a flcollection point for the recycling by electric and electronic devices.
Safety Distances
Electric appliances must be wired to the electric circuit in a minimum distance of 60 cm from shower cabins and bath tubs and of 120 cm from shower heads.
Installation Wall Holder
For fixed connection lead (A):
- Break the cable leadthrough (1) in the rear wall of the wall bracket.
- Pull the cable wires (2) coming out of the wall through the open leadthrough (1).
- Fix the rear wall to the wall using normal plugs and wood screws.
- Fix the cable wires (2) in the terminal (3) as illustrated. To do so, remove the terminal (3) and then put it back again.
- After testing the hair dryer, place the wall bracket housing in this position and fasten with the housing screw (4).
For socket connection lead (B):
- Break the membrane (5) in the lower edge of the rear wall to take the second protective sleeve (6).
- Fasten the rear wall to the wall with normal plugs and wood screws.
- Pull the protective sleeve (6) over the power lead (7).
- Connect the power lead (7) to the terminal (3) as illustrated. To do so, remove the terminal (3) and then put it back again.
- Place the protective sleeve (6) in the provided slot and secure the lead (7) as illustrated with strain reliefs (8) using two screws.
- After testing the hair dryer, place the wall bracket housing in its position and fasten with the housing screw (4).
SPL Comprehensive Warranty
The Aliseo hair dryers are fully guaranteed against defective materials and
faulty workmanship for a period of 12 months from date of sale, subject to
being installed and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
This warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, abuse, and dropping the
hair dryer, or from hair blocking air inlets. Warranties are restricted to
guestrooms and in-room use only, and installation in other areas such public
areas, gymnasiums, pool changing rooms is at the owner’s risk.
Note: Our warranty only extends to products purchased and installed in New
Zealand.
