DESCRIPTION
FUNCTION TESTER FOR 7-PIN TRAILER PLUG Test instrument for control measurement of 7-pin plug on trailer and 7-pin socket on towing vehicle. The product quickly indicates any faults in the electrical system on the trailer or towing vehicle. Follow the instructions below.
OPERATION
FUNCTION TEST OF TRAILER PLUG
- Connect the trailer plug to the product.
- Press the yellow button on the side of the product.
- If all the wires are intact all the status lights (see below) as per ISO 1724 will go on.
- If a status light does not go on this means the corresponding wire is faulty.

NOTE: Terminal 54g can be used for rear fog light or for 12 V connection (i.e. direct lead from the battery).
FUNCTION TEST OF TOWING VEHICLE
- Conned the product to the socket for the trailer.
- Press the yellow button on the side of the product.
- If all the wires are intact all the status lights will go on. If all the status lights do not go on, see above.
FUNCTION TEST OF EACH SEPARATE TERMINAL
- Switch on the vehicle ignition and activate the left direction indicator.
- The corresponding status light should flash with the same frequency, otherwise, there is a fault on the wires for the left direction indicator.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 to function test the right direction indicator, rear lights, fog lights, and brake lights. Use a 4 m extension cable to enable the check to be done from the driver seat.

NOTE: If the vehicle is fitted with a fog light relay this must be function tested with a 21W bulb.
