IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT REMOVE THE COVER ON THIS LIGHT. THERE ARE NO USER-SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. REFER ALL SERVICING TO A QUALIFIED TECHNICIANS.

NEVER look directly at the laser emitter as serious eye injury can occur.
This symbol indicates that there is laser radiation emitted from this unit.
The lightning flash with the arrowhead symbol within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user Othe presence of “dangerous” voltage within the product’s enclosure that may be sufficient magnitude to constitute risk of electric shock to humans. Users should exhibit extra safety when this symbol appears in this instruction manual and follow all precautions as they are stated.

  1.  Read these instructions thoroughly before using this item. Heed all warnings. Follow instructions.
  2.  Disconnect from the power source before servicing.
  3.  REPLACE FUSE WITH SAME TYPE AND RATING.
  4.  This product is for indoor use only! To prevent fire or electric shock, do not expose this equipment to rain or moisture.Donot store or operate this product near any liquids.
  5. Do not store or operate this product near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus(including amplifiers)that produce heat.
  6. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding plug has two blades and around grounding prong. The wide blade or third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit your outlet, consult an electrician for the replacement of the obsolete outlet.
  7. Protect all wires connected to this unit from being walked on or pinched, particularly plugs and thepoint where they exit from the unit. When removing the cord from the power outlet, remove it by holding the plug not by pulling the cord.
  8.  Unplug the unit during lightning storm when unused for long period of time.
  9.  Allow the unit to cool down after1or 2hours of continuous operation to prevent heat stress damage.
  10.  Whenwiringthisunit and all other equipment used in connection to this unit make sure that allof your equipment is turned OFF.
  11.  Make sure the distance between the fixture and the lighted object is not less than 0.5meters. Keep combustible and/or explosive materials away from this unit.Donot blockthe ventilation slots.
  12.  In the event of a serious operating problem,stop using the unit immediately. Never try to repair the unit by yourself. Repairs carried out by unskilled people can lead to damage or malfunction. Please return the unit to the nearest authorized technical assistance center.
  13. The unit should never be connected to anykindofexternalACdimmer. Operateonlyatintendedvoltage.
  14.  Make sure the power cord is never pinched or damaged.
  15.  Never disconnect the power cord by pulling or tugging on the cord.
  16.  Never carry the fixture directly from the cord. Always use the hanging/mounting bracket.
  17.  Before placing, installing, rigging, or suspending any product, inspect all hardware, suspension, cabinets, transducers, brackets and associated equipment for damage. Any missing,corroded, deformed, or non-load-rated component could significantly reduce the strength of the installation, placement or array. Anysuchcondition severely reduces the safety of the installation and should be immediately corrected. Useonlyhardwarewhich is rated for the loading conditions of the installation and any possible short-term, unexpected overloading. Never exceed the rating of the hardware or equipment.
  18.  ALWAYS use a safety chain or cable between the unit and overhead suspension truss to ensure safety to persons.
  19.  Consult a licensed, Professional Engineer regarding physical equipment installation. Ensure that all local, state and national regulations regarding the safety and operation of the equipment are understood and adhered to.
  20.  Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

Thank you for choosing our LED Flat Par Can (ORCAN4). For your own safety, please read this manual before installing the device. This manual covers the important information on installation and applications. Please install and operate the fixture with the following instructions.
This LED Flat Par Can (ORCAN4) uses 18 x 10W RGBWA + UV 6 in 1 LEDs, the LEDs are used for their long life, low power consumption, high brightness and excellent color.
The LED Flat Par Can (ORCAN4) has multiple control modes including automatic, manual, audio chase and DMX. It can be used for many different scenarios including stage lighting, theatre lighting, or anywhere that needs lighting.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1.  Don’t turn on the device if it’s been through severe temperature changes, especially after transportation. Operate at a stable temperature, avoiding drastic temperature changes to help avoid damage to the LEDs (etc) due to these environment changes.
  2.  Avoid excessive shock or vibration of this device during transportation or when being moved.
  3.  Do not handle the light by the head only to help stop any damage to the mechanical parts.
  4.  Do not expose the device to excessive heat, moisture or environments with dust, especially during installation. Also, to avoid electric shock, do not run the power lines across the floor.
  5.  Make sure the location of install is in safe and in good condition before installing the device.
  6.  Ensure the safety chain is secured properly and check whether the screws are fastened properly.
  7.  Make sure the lenses are in good condition, it’s recommended to replace any lens if there is any damage or scratches.
  8. Make sure the device is operated by qualified personnel who know how to operate the device.
  9. It’s recommended to keep the original packaging.
  10.  Do not try to change or modify the device without any instruction by the manufacturer, a quali-fied technician and authorized service agent.
  11.   Warranty is void if there are any malfunctions due to not following the owner’s manual instructions or if operated if not in fully working condition (short circuit, electronic shock, lamp broke, etc.).

Press “MENU” to select a function (for detailed description please see the “Operation Menu” section of this Manual.

Press “UP” or “DOWN” button to modify values. Press “ENTER” to confirm and save the settings.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

The following need to be considered during inspection:

  1.  There must not be any deformations on the housing (ceiling, suspension, trussing).
  2.  The electric power supply cables must not show any damage, material fatigue or sediments.

Further instructions, depending on the installation area and usage, have to be adhered to by a skilled installer and any safety concerns must be removed.
CAUTION! Disconnect from mains before starting maintenance operation.
In order to keep the device in good condition and extend the lifetime, we suggest regular cleaning.

  1.  Clean the lenses each week to avoid the lights being affected due to accumulation of dust.
  2. Clean frequently using a moist, lint-free cloth, never use alcohol or solvents.
    Should you need spare parts, please order genuine parts from your local dealer.

MOUNTING

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES

  • ALWAYS mount the light to a secure approved truss with sufficient load bearing capability to ensure a safe installation.
  • ALWAYS use a galvanized steel wire as a secondary safeguard to prevent injury to property or persons in case the primary mounting mechanism fails. 12 gauge stranded steel utility wire will serve as an adequate safety cable for the ORION products lights weighing less than 12 kg / 25 lbf.
  • This secondary safety attachment must not interfere with positioning of the light.
  • ALWAYS ensure C-clamps are fully tightened with thread-lock adhesive and properly orient the C- clamps for maximum security;
  • ALWAYS perform periodic safety inspections to ensure the installation is safe and secure

Orion Lighting – One (1) Year Manufacturer’s Defect

One Year Limited Warranty: If this product should fail within one year of the original purchase date due to a manufacturing defect, simply return the product to your Orion dealer with the original proof of purchase and it will be repaired free of charge. This warranty excludes damage considered by the vendor to be the result of improper installation, normal wear, abuse or shipping damage. See your Orion dealer for details. Warranty valid in Canada and the United States. Other territories may vary.
