IDEAL SK1994 VP Pull Handle Set

Product Information

This pull handle is designed for storm and screen doors. It is installed in the same holes as your old push-button handle. The package includes three spindles, but if they are too long, you can cut them to length or contact us for an additional spindle. The pull handle is made of durable materials and comes with machine screws for installation. The package also includes a strike and plastic shims for attachment to a wooden door jamb.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Start by removing the old storm door handle.
2. Assemble the spindle and spring provided.
3. Insert the assembled spindle through the outside of the door, following the assembly view.
4. Place the pull handle onto the outside of the door. Make sure that the spindle projects 5/16 through the inside of the door and does not touch the mechanism of the inside latch (refer to Fig. 3).
5. Fasten the pull handle to the inside latch using the machine screws provided. If the provided screws are not suitable, you can reuse your old ones.
6. Attach the strike to the wooden door jamb using the 6 x 1 screws. If necessary, use plastic shims for proper alignment so that the strike firmly engages the latch (refer to Fig. 4).

Pull Handle Installation Instructions

This pull handle for storm and screen doors installs in the same holes as your old push button handle.

1. Remove the old storm door handle.
2. Assemble the spindle and spring and insert them through the outside of the door as shown in the assembly view.
3. Place the pull handle onto the outside of the door. With a handle on, the spindle must project 5/16” through the inside of the door (Fig. 3) and not touch the mechanism of the inside latch. If the three spindles included are too long you can cut to length or email us for an additional spindle.
4. Fasten the pull handle to the inside latch with machine screws provided. You can reuse your old screws if those provided are not adequate.
5. Attach the strike (shim if necessary with plastic shims) with the 6″ x 1″ screws to the wooden door jamb so the strike firmly engages the latch (Fig. 4).

1. Measure your door thickness.
2. Locate the notch accordingly using the chart below.
3. Snap off the screw using two pliers.

1. Print out this sheet using 1: 1 scale. (Verify using a ruler against the printout below).
