- Unplug Morning Call 6Q during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
- When the main plug is connected, Morning Call 60 is operational. In order to disconnect Morning Call 60 completely, the main plug should be disconnected from the main socket outlet.
- The battery should not be exposed to excessive heat, such as sunshine or fire.
- If the battery is incorrectly replaced, it may cause an explosion. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

POWER ON
CONNECTING POWER
Connect the DC plug of the power cord to the 28 DC POWER JACK on the back of the unit and connect the AC plug to a nearby wall outlet.
- Note: Please install backup batteries (not included) to keep settings including time, alarms, and FM presets when the AC power is disconnected.
SET CLOCK TIME
**** The default time is set to 12:00AM in 12 Hour Time format. (The display flashes 12:00 if the clock time is not set.)
- Press & HOLD 8 [Time] for 2 seconds to enter the Time Setup mode. ’12hr’ will be flashed on the screen.
- Press (2)(Up/Down] to toggle between 12hr or 24hr formats and press 8 [Time] to confirm the format.
- While Hour is blinking, Press 2 [ /Up/Down] to adjust hour (Press & HOLD to fast adjust) and press 8 (Time] to set hour.
- While Minute is blinking, press 2 Up/Down] to adjust minute (Press & HOLD to fast adjust) and press 8 [Time] to set minute and complete the time setup.
SET ALARMS
****TO SET AN ALARM:
Alarm Time > Alarm Source > Alarm Sound Volume Default Alarm Time: Alarm 1 –
6:00 AM, Alarm 2 – 7:00 AM

Press & HOLD 10 [Alarm 1] for 2 seconds to enter the ALARM SETUP mode. Once in the alarm setup mode, the display will start blinking.

Set Alarm Time:
While Hour is blinking, press 2 [Up/Down] to adjust the hour (Press & HOLD to fast adjust) and press 10 [Alarm 1] to set the alarm time hour. While Minute is blinking, press 2 (Up/Down] to adjust minute (Press & HOLD to fast adjust) and press 10 [Alarm 1] to set alarm time minute.

Choose Alarm Source:
Press 2 [/Up/Down] to choose the alarm source between 19 Buzzer or 20 FM Radio. The source you are currently setting will blink. Press 10 [Alarm 1] to confirm the alarm source. -
Set Alarm Sound Volume:
Press 2 [Up/Down] to adjust the alarm sound volume level between V5 to V30 from the initial level of V15. Press 10 [Alarm 1] to confirm the volume level. (Tuned channel on the radio will be used for the radio alarm.) -
Once the alarm setup is completed, the corresponding alarm indicator will be displayed.
Note: Apply the same routine to set Alarm 2 with 0 [Alarm 2] button.
ENABLE/DISABLE ALARM
** Please make sure if any of Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 is disabled by turning
each one-off, the specified alarm sound won’t be played at the alarm time. It
should be turned on again to be enabled.
Alarms can be Enabled/Disabled by pressing 10 [Alarm 1] or 12 [Alarm
2]. When 17 [1] and/or 22 [2]** is showing, the alarm is set to ON and
will activate at the scheduled time. If the indication is not showing, the
alarm is set to OFF.
SNOOZE/STOP ALARM
- When the alarm is activated, the corresponding 17 Alarm 1 or 22 Alarm 2 indicator will blink on the display.
- Press 11 [Snooze] to temporarily silence the alarm. The alarm will snooze and reoccur at an interval of every 9 minutes. The corresponding 17 Alarm 1 or 22 Alarm 2 indicator will blink on the display during the snooze period.
- To STOP the alarm completely, press 1 [ ] This will stop the alarm until the next alarm time.
SLEEP TIMER FUNCTION
**** The Sleep Timer Function allows you to set a stop action for the FM Radio or Bluetooth after the specified time has elapsed.

Press 1 [ ] to turn on the audio function.
-
Press 4 [ ] or 6 [FM] to select the desired audio source from Bluetooth or FM Radio. (Go to page 16 for Bluetooth and page 14 for FM Radio to refer setup instructions of each.)

Press 3 [Sleep] to set the sleep timer while Bluetooth audio or FM Radio is playing. Continue to press 3 [Sleep] until reach to the desired timer from 10 to 90 in 10 minutes interval and wait 5 seconds to keep the selected timer: 90 > 80 > …. > 10 > OFF.

24 Sleep indicator is displayed once the sleep timer is set.

The Bluetooth audio or FM Radio will automatically turn off once the set timer expires.

To check the remaining time until sleep, simply press 3 [Sleep]. The timer will change to the next timer interval if 3 [Sleep] is pressed again while the remaining time is displayed.

To turn off the timer, press 3 [Sleep] repeatedly until the value toggles to OFF and wait 5 seconds. 24 SLEEP Indicator will disappear.
FM RADIO
USING FM RADIO
- Unravel and extend the antenna to improve the FM radio signal reception.
- Press 1 [ ****] to turn on the audio function.
- Press 6 [FM] to select FM Radio.
- Press 9 [ ] or [ ] to change the FM radio frequency.
- Press & HOLD 9 [ ] or [ ] to automatically scan the available channels.
- To turn the FM radio off, press 1 ( ****).
SETTING FM RADIO PRESETS
****Preset option is only available when the Radio is on.
- While FM radio is turned on, press 9 [ ] or [ ] to select the desired frequency.
- Press & HOLD 7 [Preset] until the preset number is blinking.
- Toggle through 9 [ ] or [ ].
- Press 7 [Preset] to program the preset with the selected frequency.
USING FM RADIO PRESETS
- While FM radio is turned on, Press 7 [Preset] and press 9 [ ] or [ ] to change the preset stations: P01 > P02 > … L > P20
BLUETOOTH
PAIRING WITH OTHER DEVICE
****Effective Bluetooth range: 33ft (10m)

Press 1 [ ****] to turn on the audio function.
-
Press 4 [ ****] to select Bluetooth.
-
If the unit is turned on for the first time, it will automatically enter the pairing mode and the 25 Bluetooth indicator will blink.
-
Go to settings – Bluetooth on your mobile device and turn on Bluetooth. iPhone/iPads will scan for devices automatically while Android devices will require you to press Scan.

Tap “iLuv MORCAL6Q” from the discovered devices list.
-
Once two devices are connected successfully, a voice prompt “Bluetooth connected” will be heard and the 25 Bluetooth indication stops blinking.
Note: To enter the paring mode manually, press & HOLD 4 [ ****] for 2 seconds after turning on the audio function.
AUTO RECONNECTING
- If the paired mobile device is out of range or disconnects from the Morning Call 6Q, the 25 Bluetooth indicator will start to blink. The connection will automatically be restored once the paired device appears within range.
- In case of disconnection or if the connection is not restored automatically, press & HOLD 4 [ ****] for 2 seconds to reconnect or restart pairing.
MUSIC PLAYBACK
- Once connected to your device, play music or audio from your preferred app.
- Press 5 [ ****] to play your music.
- Press 5 [ ****] to pause while music is playing
- Press 13 [Volume Up/Volume Down] to increase or decrease volume (00-30).
- Press & HOLD 9 [ ] to skip to the previous track.
- Press 9 [ ****] to skip to the next track.
DISPLAY DIMMER
- Press 11 [Snooze/Dimmer] to adjust the brightness from 10 levels; 100 (maximum brightness) to 00 (mini-mum brightness).
- The default brightness level is 100.
USING Q! WIRELESS CHARGING
**IT IS SUGGESTED TO CHARGE YOUR PHONE WITH A CABLE INSTEAD OF A WIRELESS
CHARGER DURING THE PHONE SOFTWARE UPDATE. OTHERWISE, CHARGE YOUR PHONE FULLY
BEFORE THE PHONE SOFTWARE UPDATE.
Place your Qi-enabled smartphone on the center of the 14 Wireless charging
pad.
Compatible Products for Wireless Charging: iPhone 11/11 Pro/11 Pro
Max/X/XS/XS Max/XR/8/8 Plus; AirPods Pro, AirPods; Samsung Galaxy S10/9/8/7/6

Google Pixel 4/4 XL/3/3 XL, and other Qi-enabled smartphones/tablets and
accessories.
**PMA wireless charging is not supported.
WIRELESS CHARGE INDICATOR
26 Wireless Charging Indicator is displayed on the top right corner of
the display. Refer to the status indications below:
- Off : Standby Mode
- On : Charging
- Blinking : Abnormal
*If the charging indicator blinks:
– Check if your device supports Qi wireless charging
– Place your device in the center of the 14 Wireless charging pad
– Remove any protective cases containing magnets, metal, or materials thicker than 0.12″ (3mm)
USB CHARGING PORT
- To charge other devices such as a smartphone or tablet, connect one end of the USB charging cable (not included) to the 29 USB charging port on the back of the main unit.
- The Morning Call 6Q cannot access the content of the connected device.
- The USB charging port is compatible with most smartphones, tablets, portable speakers, wireless headphones, wearables, etc.
BATTERY BACKUP OPERATION
****THE BACKUP BATTERY WILL NOT OPERATE THE CLOCK
- Morning Call 6Q is equipped with a memory system that can be powered with two (2) AAA batteries (not included). The power failure protection circuit will not operate unless the battery is installed.
- The backup battery will save all previously programmed settings when normal household power is interrupted The backup battery will not operate the unit’s normal functions.
- Normal operation will resume after the power is restored.
INSTALLING THE BATTERY
**** The backup battery is NOT a secondary source of power. The function acts as a memory saver for your settings in the case of power disconnection. It is recommended to replace the battery at least once a year.
