SPECIAL WARNINGS

To avoid personal injury or device damage, please read carefully the warnings below:

  • Do not operate the device while driving. If you need to do this, stop the car in a safe place

  • We recommend you to call a technician to install the device. If you still want to install it yourself, follow the installation instructions in this manual

  • When you want to use the device, make sure the temperature inside the car does not exceed
    + 60°C

  • Do not use the device in a strong electromagnetic field environment

  • Do not use the device in an environment with excessive humidity

  • If the device has no image or sound, you have poured water or small objects have entered the unit, smoke or unpleasant smell come out from the unit, unplug the device immediately, and take it to a dealer or a specialized center.

  • While driving, adjust the volume of the device to a comfortable level. Too strong sound can affect the driver’s ability to drive safely.

  • Use the device only in vehicles with 12V power. Do not use the device in vehicles (bus, truck) with 24V power.

  1. PWR/VOL/SEL

    • PWR: Press this button long to turn the device on or off.
    • VOL: When the device is on, turn this knob to adjust the volume.
    • SEL: Press this button briefly to switch between VOL/BAS/TRE/BAL/FAD/LOUD/EQ and rotate this button to the right or left to customize the selected parameter

Notes:

  • A1 – Hand brake connection (-): It is a mandatory safety system that allows video viewing only when the car is stopped and the handbrake is active (trailed);
  • A2 – Reverse lamp connection (+): This connection to plus (+) reverse lamp is used when you want to use a rear view camera with this player. The connection allows switching to the video input of the camera when the car is switched to reverse mode;
  • A3 – Steering wheel connection – Optionally, compatible only with certain cars that are equipped with a resistive steering wheel system (principle of operation – resistance measurement);
  • A5 – Radio antenna connection – provides (+) to the car antenna if the car is equipped for this function;

REMOTE CONTROL KEYS DESCRIPTION

  1. Press to turn the device on / off
  2. In any mode, press this button to enter the dialing mode for dial numbers. Write the phone number by pressing the 0-9 keys and press the [2] button again to call.
  3. While typing the phone number, press this button to erase the last digit, and when you talk, press this button to interrupt the call.
  4. When the device is on, press this button to change the mode. In phone number mode, press to enter “0”.
  5. In radio mode, press this button to play the saved radio station in position 1. In Bluetooth mode, this button has the Play / Pause function, and in phone number mode, press to enter “1”.
  6. In radio mode, press this button to play the saved radio station in position 2. In playback mode, keep this button pressed for 10 seconds to browse through the file list, and in phone number mode, press to enter “2“.
  7. In Radio mode, press this button to play the saved radio station to the 3rd position. In playback mode, press this button to repeat the last played file, and in the phone number mode, press to enter “3”.
  8. In Radio mode, press this button to play the saved radio station at position 4. In playback mode, press this button to randomly play the files, and in phone number mode, press to enter “4”.
  9.  In Radio mode, press this button to play the saved radio station on position 5. In playback mode, press this button to navigate with 10 files back, and in phone number mode, press to enter “5 “.
  10. In Radio mode, press this button to play the saved radio station in position 6. In playback mode, press this button to navigate with 10 files forward, and in phone number mode, press to enter “6”.
  11. When the device is on, press this button to activate the LOUD mode. In phone number mode, press to enter “7”.
  12. In radio mode, press this button to search for radio stations. Keep this button pressed to save the current radio station. Press it to select a song, then press SEL to play. In phone number mode, press to enter “8”.
  13. Hold this button to enter EQUALIZER mode. Press once to select the saved radio station in position 9.
  14. Press this button to increase the volume, then press the AMS button to select the track.
  15.  Press this button to decrease the volume, then press the AMS button to select the song.
  16. In radio mode, press this button to select between FM1, FM2, FM3, and in playback mode, press to switch between MP3 / Video / Photo.
  17. In radio mode, press to scan radio stations. In playback mode, press to return to the previous track; hold down for fast backward. In Bluetooth mode, press to select the previous track.
  18. In radio mode, press to scan radio stations. In playback mode, press to select the next track; hold for fast forward. In Bluetooth mode, press to select the next track.
  19. In any mode, press this button to mute the sound. In phone mode, press to enter “#”.
  20.  In any mode, press this button to display the time. Press and hold to set the time. In phone number mode, press to enter “*”.
  21. Click this button to customize VOLUME/BASS/TREBLE/LR BALANCE/FR BALANCE/LOUDNESS/SOUNDEFFECT.

The menu includes options for changing the operation mode (Radio, USB, SD, Bluetooth, GPS, AV-in), general settings, display settings (theme, contrast), audio settings, date and time settings and steering wheel settings.

RADIO MODE

  1. – Tap this icon to automatically search and save radio stations (up to 6 channels per band, 18 in total, can se saved)
  2. – Tap this icon to switch between FM1, FM2, FM3
  3.  Press the key ►►| to search for radio stations with higher frequency. Search will stop when a radio station is found. For better frequency adjustment, keep this key pressed until you find the best signal.
  4.  Press the key |◄◄ to search for radio stations with lower frequency. Search will stop when a radio station is found. For better frequency adjustment, keep this key pressed until you find the best signal.
  5. – Tap this icon to search among saved radio stations. Each item will be played for 9 seconds. When you find the radio station you are interested in, click on its icon to listen to it.
  6. – Press this icon to switch between STEREO and MONO. “ST” will appear on the screen when you select STEREO mode.
  7. – Tap this icon to mute the sound.

Insert into your device a micro SD card or USB stick containing image files (photos). If there are
MP3 / MP4 files, they will be played first. Tap the icon ■ (Stop), you can return to the file type selection interface. Click here the icon that suggests image files . Select from the list the
photo you want to see.

PLAY AUDIO FILES FROM THE USB STICK OR MICRO SD CARD

Insert into your device a micro SD card or USB stick containing audio files (music). If there are
MP3 / MP4 files, they will be played first. Tap the icon ■ (Stop), you can return to the file type selection interface. Click here the icon that suggests audio files F . Select from the list the file
you want to play.

PLAY VIDEO FILES FROM THE USB STICK OR MICRO SD CARD

Insert into your device a micro SD card or USB stick containing video files. If there are MP3 /
MP4 files, they will be played first. Tap the icon ■ (Stop), you can return to the file type selection interface. Click here the icon that suggests video files F. Select from the list the video you want to play.

BLUETOOTH FUNCTION

  •  Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone
  •  Search for nearby Bluetooth devices
  • When you find “V8270“ connect to it. If you are asked for a password, this is “0000“.
  • After successfully connecting the MP3 player to your mobile phone, directly from the MP3 player you can answer incoming calls or make calls. You can also access your saved contacts list or play the saved music in your phone.

GPS FUNCTION

Insert a microSD card containing a GPS navigation map into the slot marked “GPS”. (the micro SD card and map are not included in the package)
In the player’s main menu, click on the GPS icon , then choose whether to go directly to the navigation software or to make settings. The Settings menu lets you set the executable path, calibrate the screen, choose the language and time zone, or view system information.PNi-V8270-DIN-Multimedia-

MIRROR LINK FUNCTION

Note:

  • Android smartphones – Go to your phone’s setup menu and enable the “USB debugging” feature in the “Developer options” menu. For details on this procedure, check the operating system version of your phone and look for the detailed instruction manual.

  • iOS smartphones – follow the instructions on the phone screen, allowing access when prompted.

  • Connect your mobile phone to the player via the USB port.

  •  In the player’s main menu, click on the Mirror Link icon . In some cases, the function will automatically turn on after connecting the phone.

  •  Immediately on the player screen you can see the interface of your phone.

  • Due to numerous software upgrades (Android, iOS), your phone may not be compatible with Mirror Link on this player. Please visit the product page at www.pni.ro, the Download section, to check for any firmware updates.

  • With Mirror Link, Android phones transmit only image on the screen of the player. For sound, you can connect the two devices via Bluetooth. Also, this feature allows you to control your Android phone directly from the player’s touch screen.

  • With Mirror Link, iOS phones transmit both image and sound to the player. This feature does not allow control of your iOS phone directly from the player screen.

TROUBLESHOOTING
