The KitchenBrothers Induction Hob – Double has two cooking plates. The left cooking plate has 10 different power/temperature settings and the right cooking plate has 8 different power/temperature settings. Use the touchpad to turn the induction hob on, to set its timer, or to lock the buttons. The Induction hob is protected against overheating, and turns off automatically when you have not used it for 2 or more hours.

General
- Be aware of the risks and consequences resulting from incorrect use or installation of the Induction Hob.
- Misuse of the Induction Hob can result in personal injury, or destruction of the appliance.
- Use the Induction Hob only for purposes described in this user manual.
- If the Induction Hob malfunctions, is dropped or (appears to be) damaged in any manner do NOT use it and contact Customer Service.
- The Induction Hob is designed for indoor use and intended for private, non-commercial use only.
- Cooking with oil or grease without supervision can be dangerous and can cause a fire.
- NEVER try to extinguish with water, but turn the Induction Hob off and cover the flames with a lid or a fire blanket.
- If the Induction Hob is cracked, turn it off immediately and remove the plug from the wall socket. Do NOT touch the surface of the Induction Hob, do NOT use the appliance and contact customer service.
- Do NOT use cookware made of pure stainless steel, aluminium, or copper without a magnetic base, glass, wood, porcelain, ceramics or earthenware.
- To ensure safe use of the appliance, do not connect the plug to the mains via an extension cord.
- NEVER turn on the Induction Hob when using empty pans, this can damage the induction hob and your cookware. Make sure that the pan is filled with sufficient water or food.
- Do NOT leave the Induction Hob unattended when in use. When you are not using the Induction Hob, turn the device off and disconnect the device from the power socket
- Do NOT disconnect the Induction Hob from its power supply by pulling the cable.
- Do NOT carry or pull the device by its cable.
- Make sure that you do NOT trip over the cable. The cable should not be kinked, trapped or twisted.
Persons and Use
This device should NOT be used by children under the age of 8 or persons with
physical, sensory or mental disabilities, or persons with lack of experience
with and knowledge of the device, unless they are supervised or have been
given instruction concerning the use by a person responsible for their safety.
Before using the Induction Hob, consult your doctor when you are fitted with a
pacemaker or any other medical device.
Keep the Induction Hob away from children under the age of 8 when using and
storing. Make sure that children do not play with the Induction Hob.
Electronics
- Do NOT reconstruct, repair or disassemble the Induction Hob. This can damage the device. For safety reasons, these parts may only be replaced by authorized service personnel. In order to prevent hazards, always send the appliance to the service centre for repairs.
- Make sure your outlet supplies the correct power voltage to avoid damage to the Induction Hob.
- Always check the power cord and plug before using the Induction Hob. Do NOT operate the PRODUCT if the cord or plug are damaged. A damaged cord or plug must be replaced by a qualified person in order to avoid damages and personal injuries.
- Do NOT use the Induction Hob in or near a bath, shower, swimming pool, or over a basin filled with water.
- Do NOT operate the device with damp or wet hands and do NOT touch the power cord with damp or wet hands. Make sure to prevent any contact with water. Do NOT submerge the Induction Hob in water, do not rinse the appliance with water, pay attention when the pan is boiling over. If water does get inside the casing, turn the Induction Hob off immediately and contact our customer service.
- If the power fails during usage, turn off the Induction Hob immediately and pull the plug from the socket.
- The Induction Hob heats up during use. Do NOT use the device if you are sensitive to heat.
- Keep the Induction Hob away from moisture, heat and in or close to areas where the surrounding temperature is relatively hot (e.g. stoves or other sources of heat).
- The walls and the worktop surrounding the appliance must be heat resistant up to at least 90°C. Even though the appliance itself does not get hot, the heat of a hot pan could discolour or deform the wall.
- Do NOT cover the Induction Hob when it is switched on. Never put objects such as cleaning cloths, parchment paper, aluminium foil on top of or against the appliance. This poses a risk of fire, electric shock or injury.
- Do NOT insert the plug into a socket where several other appliances are already plugged in.
- Do NOT insert objects such as pieces of wire into the Induction Hob.
Other
- Always place the Induction Hob on a stable, even, horizontal and heat proof surface. Make sure that the surface is not made of metal. Never place the appliance on surfaces that are metallic or that are not heat proof (such as carpet or vinyl). Make sure that there is enough ventilation room around the appliance (at least 5 tot 10 cm/2 – 4 inches). Never block the ventilation holes.
- The surface of the Induction Hob will stay hot for some time after you have turned the device off. Make sure that nobody touches the hot parts.
- Never place metal objects such as knives, forks, spoons, and lids on the surface of the Induction Hob.
- Metal objects can heat up and cause burns.
- The Induction Hob can influence objects that have or attract a metal field such as radios, televisions, and cards.
- Never heat up closed cans on the Induction Hob. This can cause pressure to build up in the cans which causes the cans to explode.
- Never use the Induction Hob as a cutting board. The Induction Hob can be accidentally turned on and heat up, which can cause objects to melt, heat up or catch fire.
- Never use a high pressure or steam cleaner or to clean the Induction Hob.
- If the Induction Hob exceeds 280°C an error code will be displayed. Let the Induction Hob cool off before using it again.
- The Induction Hob will turn of automatically if it has not been used for 2 or more hours.
- Always lift the pans when removing them from the Induction Hob, never slide them over or off the Induction Hob.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.
- The ceramic top is extremely strong but not unbreakable. For example, a spice jar or sharp utensil falling on it could cause it to break.
Receiving Your Shipment
When receiving your shipment, make sure that the contents are consistent with the packing list. Notify your distributor of any missing items. If the equipment appears to be damaged, file a claim immediately with the carrier and notify your distributor at once, giving a detailed description of any damage. Save the damaged packing container to substantiate your claim.

Instructions for Use
The surface of the Induction Hob will stay hot for some time after you have
turned the device off. Make sure that nobody touches the hot parts.
Do NOT use cookware made of pure stainless steel, aluminium, or copper without
a magnetic base, glass, wood, porcelain, ceramics or earthenware.
First operation
- Take the following precautions prior to using the Induction Hob for the first time.
- Unwrap the Induction Hob with care and remove all packaging.
- Keep the packaging away from children.
- Check the Induction Hob thoroughly for possible damages resulting from transportation.
- Clean the Induction Hob with a damp cloth and dry it thoroughly.
- Make sure your outlet supplies the correct power voltage to avoid damage to the Induction Hob.
- Read this user manual and follow the instructions.
Use
On/Off

Place a suitable pan on the Induction Hob.

Press to turn the Induction Hob on. When “L” appears on the screen, the Induction Hob is ready for use

Press to choose the cooking mode.
- Power mode: A “W” will appear on the screen. The default setting of the left cooking plate is 1200W, the default setting of the right cooking plate is 1000W
- Temperature mode: “°C” will appear on the screen. The default setting of both the left and the right cooking plate is 240°C
- Press again to activate the chosen mode.

Press or to change the power/temperature.

The Induction Hob will automatically go into standby mode when it has not been used for 10 minutes after turning it on.

Press again to turn the Induction hob off and remove the plug from the wall socket.
Timer -
The min. time setting is 1 minute, the max. time setting is 3 hours.

Turn the Induction Hob on. Press to set the timer.

Press or adjust the timer.

* The settings will be confirmed automatically when no buttons have been pressed for 5 minutes.
- Press for 2 seconds to turn the timer off.
Lock/Unlock
Lock: Turn the Induction Hob on. Press
to lock all the buttons except for and
”Loc“vviII be displayed.
Unlock: Press for 3 seconds to unlock all buttons.
Other functions:
The built-in ventilation system will continue to work 2-5 minutes after the Induction Hob has been turned off. The ventilation system will turn off automatically when the Induction Hob has cooled down.
After turning the Induction Hob of, an “-H-” will be displayed to indicate that the Induction Hob is still hot. When the temperature of the glass gets below 50 °C, the “-H-” will disappear.
When the cooking plate has not been used for 2 hours, it will turn off automatically.
Choosing the correct cookware
Only use pans suited for induction cooking. Check for the induction symbol on the packaging OF the pan itself.
Check whether your pan can be used for induction cooking with the magnet test. Hold a magnet close to the bottom of the pan. When the pan is magnetic, it is suited for induction cooking.
When you don’t have a magnet
- Put some water in the pan.
- Turn on the Induction Hob, wait 3 minutes and check if the water has heated up.
Never use cookware that is bended or damaged. Check if the bottom of the pan is smooth, can lay flat on the induction hob, and has the correct size (diameter = 12-2ó cm).
Always lift the pans when you remove them from the induction plate. Do not slide them over the plate, this can cause damage.
Troubleshooting
Problem

- Make sure the hob is turned on and connected to the power supply.
- Check whether there is a power outage in your home or area. If you‘ve checked everything and the problem still persists, call a qualified technician.
The touch controls are unresponsive.| The controls are locked.| Unlock the
controls, see “Unlock/Lock”.
The touch controls are difficult to operate.| There may be a slight film of
water over the controls or you may be using the tip of your finger when
touching the controls.| Make sure the touch control area is dry and use the
ball of your finger when touching the controls.
The glass is scratched.|
- Rough-edged cookware.
- Unsuitable, abrasive cleaning agents may have been used.
|
- Use cookware with a flat and smooth base. See “ Choosing the correct cookware”.
- See “maintenance and cleaning”.
The pans make a crackling or clicking noise.| This may be caused by the
construction of your cookware (layers of different metals vibrating
differently).| This is normal and does not indicate a fault or failure.
The induction hob makes a low humming noise when used on a high heat setting|
This is caused by the technology of induction cooking.| This is normal. Do not
remove the plug from the socket while the fan is still on.
Fan noise is coming from the induction hob| The built-in fan has turned on to
prevent overheating. It may continue to run even after you‘ve turned the
induction hob off.| This is normal and needs no action. Do not unplug the
induction hob while the fan is running.
Pand to not become hot and do not appear in the display.|
- The induction hob cannot detect the pan because it is not suitable for induction cooking.
- The induction hob cannot detect the pan because it is too small or not properly centered.

- Use the correct cookware. See “Choosing the correct cookware“
- Centre the pan and make sure that its base matches the size of the cooking zone (12-2ó cm).
The induction hob or a cookin zone has turned itself off unexpectedly, a tone sounds and an error code is displayed (typically alternating bet- ween one or two digits in the cooking timer display).| Technical error.| Note the error code, unplug the induction hob and contact a qua- lified technician.

E5| High temperature protection. The temperature of the cooking plates exceeds
180°C.| Restart the Induction Hob after it has coo- led down.
E6| IGBT overheat protection. The internal temperature exceeds 100°C| Check if
the ventilation inlets and outlets are blocked. If not, contact customer
service or consult a qualified technician.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Clean the Induction Hob after every use. Turn the device off before cleaning it and remove the plup from the wall socket. Wait until the induction hob has cooled down entirely before cleaning it. Clean the surface with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Keep the ventilation inlet and outlet clean usinp a toothbrush or cotton. Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning apents.
Storage
- Store the Induction Hob in a clean and dry place. Do not store the device in extreme high or extreme low temperatures.
Disposal – Recycle
- Contribute to a cleaner living environment! Do not dispose of the Induction Hob with the household waste. For proper recycling, please contact your local authority or your household waste disposal service for further details on your nearest designated collection point.
Service and Warranty

KitchenBrothers provides a 2 year warranty on its products. To obtain service during the warranty period, the product needs to be returned with a proof of purchase. Product defects have to be reported within 2 years from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover: damages caused by misuse or incorrect repair; parts subject to wear; defects that the customer was aware of at the time of purchase; damages or defects caused by customer neglect; damages or defects caused by third parties.
