Fuel and oil
WARNING
- Petrol is highly flammable. Avoid smoking and keep flames and sparks at bay.
- Wipe up spilled fuel before starting the machine.
- Stop the engine and allow the machine to cool down beforerefuelling
- Keep open flames away from the area where fuel is stored or refilled.
IMPORTANT
A petrol mixture must be used for air-cooled 2-stroke engines. Can be
purchased ready-made or you can mix it yourself by following the procedure
below:
How to mix the fuel:
- Measure out the amounts of gasoline and oil.
- Pour some of the petrol into a clean and suitable fuel tank.
- Pour in all the oil and stir thoroughly.
- Pour in the rest of the petrol and stir thoroughly for at least one minute. Some oils can be difficult to stir in the gasoline. It is very important that the two components are stirred sufficiently, as otherwise the engine may be damaged.
- Be sure to mark the contents of the container clearly to avoid making a mistake with the contents.
To ensure the life of your engine, avoid
- Fuel without oil (pure petrol) – will very quickly cause serious damage to the internal engine parts.
- Oil for use in 4-stroke engines – may cause spark plug fouling, blocking the exhaust port or sticking the piston rings.
- Mixed fuel that has been standing for over a month without being shaken / mixed again.
Oily gasoline that has been left unused for at least a month or more can clog the carburettor and result in the engine not working properly. If the hedge trimmer is to be stored for a long period of time, the fuel system must be emptied of petrol.
Refueling:
- Unscrew the fuel cap and place it in a dust-free place.
- Refuel to 80% of full capacity.
- Replace the fuel cap and wipe if necessary. wasted fuel.
WARNING
- Place the machine on a level and clear area when refuelling.
- Walk at least 3 meters away from the filling point before starting up the equipment.
- Always switch off the equipment before refuelling. Make sure that the mixture is sufficiently stirred in the container.
- If the machine has been stored for a long time with fuel in the tank, clean the fuel tank after emptying it. Then start the engine to empty the carburettor of fuel.
Use
Start-up
- Fill with unleaded petrol mixed with oil. (Mixing ratio 10:1) Always use freshly mixed petrol. Max. storage time 2 months
- Press the primer bulb two to three times. (Small transparent rubber ball on the carburettor).
- Activate the choke button.
- Rev the motor slightly.
- Pull the start lever. (Avoid pulling the cord to the very bottom)
- When the motor starts, gradually release the choke.
- Allow the motor to run for 2 to 3 minutes with no load before using.
Stopping the engine
- Release the throttle and let the engine run for half a minute.
- Set the ignition switch to STOP.
Note: If the motor does not stop after the switch has been moved to STOP, close the choke so that the motor stops after a while.
Adjustment of the handle
The handle can be adjusted ± 90o to the right and left.
- Pull out the handle lock button and hold the position.
- Turn the lever to the desired position, release the handle lock button and check that the handle holds the position.
Do not press the throttle during this operation!

Maintenance and sharpening of blades
- Check the blade and the fasteners for looseness, cracking, or bending.
- Check the cutting edges and reform with a flat file.
- You need not to adjust the gap between upper blade and lower blade as this product is designed to have optimal gap when it is properly set up.
Always keep the file or sharpener at an angle of 45° to the blade, and:
- Always grind in the direction of the cutting edge.
- Note : files cut only in one direction; lift the file from the blade when returning to start a new pass.
- Remove all burr from the edge of the blade with a slip stone.
- Remove as little material as possible.
- Before refitting the sharpened blades, remove filings and then apply grease.
Do not try to sharpen a damaged blade – change it.
Safety lock check
Stop operation when the safety lock is defective. Safety lock is the device
not to accelerate the throttle lever without intention. While pushing the
safety lock, you can accelerate the throttle
- Check if the throttle lever does not move when you do not push the safety lock.
- Check if the throttle lever moves when you grasp or release it while pushing the safety lock.
- Check if the safety lock returns to its original position when you release your hand from safety lock.
If you find any defects at the checks above, contact your nearest servicing dealer for repair.
Air filter cleaning
The air filter, if clogged, will reduce the engine performance. Check and
clean the filter element in warm, soapy water as required. Dry completely
before installing. If the element is broken, replace with a new one.
Control of fuel filter
When the engine runs short of fuel supply, check the fuel cap and the fuel
filter for blockage.
Cleaning and adjustment of spark plug
- Starting failure and misfiring are often caused by a fouled spark plug. Periodically clean the spark plug and check that the spark gap is in the correct range.
- When you take off the spark plug, twist and pull off the cap.
IMPORTANT
- Note that using any spark plugs other than those designated may result in the engine failing to operate properly or in the engine becoming overheated and damaged.
- To install the spark plug, first turn the plug until it is finger tight, then tighten it a quarter turn more with a socket wrench.
TIGHTENING TORQUE: 9.8~11.8 N.m
Lubrication of the gear case
Supply multi-purpose grease at every 25 hours of use.
- Use a grease pump.
- Feed grease until it comes out of the base of blades(a).
Inspection of muffler
WARNING
- Periodically inspect the muffler for loose fasteners, any damage or corrosion. If any sign of exhaust leakage is found, do not use the brush cutter and have it repaired immediately.
- Note that failing to do so may result in the engine catching on fire.
