BEFORE THE ENGINE IS STARTED, MAKE SURE THE SCREW/KNOP IS FITTED INTO ONE OF
THE 3 HOLES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HANDLE.
KEEP FEET AND HANDS AWAY FROM THE BLADE. ALWAYS START ENGINE FROM OPPOSITE
SIDE OF BLADE.

Safety instructions

Read this manual carefully before using the machine so that you understand and are able to fully comply with all safety instructions and ways of operation.

Children may not use the machine.

If you feel sick, tired, or have been drinking alcohol or taken medicine you may not use the machine.

Always use eye- and ear protection and solid footwear when using the machine.
Avoid loose fitting clothes. -
Make sure to have good foot hold and have good control of the machine when using it.

Make sure that spectators are placed at least 10 m from where you start or use the machine.

Do not use the machine near explosive fluids, gasses or dust. The machine may make sparks that can ignite dust etc.

Never start using the machine until the work area has been cleared. Make sure to have enough light.

Use the machine with the blade turning away from persons and windows.

Only tank fuel when the engine is turned off and in well ventilated surroundings.
Any spilled fuel must be wiped off. -
Any repairs except those that are described in this manual must be carried out by an authorized dealer. The machine must be turned off when repairs are carried out.

Only use original spare parts for repair.

The machine must only be lent to persons who are familiar with the use.

This manual should always follow the machine.

Assembly of the machine

Before inserting the adjustable height shaft into the edger, make sure it is
fully extended.
Carefully guide the bottom of the extended shaft into the base of the edger,
taking care not to kink or catch the operating cable.
Lining up the holes in the shaft with the location holes in the base of the
edger.
Insert the bolt through the base and secure it tight.
Check the throttle is operating correctly before you start the edger.
Mount the handle (press it down) and tighten it.
You can adjust it in the position/angle that suits you best.
Gasoline and oil.

Use unleaded gasoline octane 95.
Use 2-stroke oil. Mix gasoline and oil 50:1 (2%), if you use Tex-Parts
2-stroke oil (spare part no. 90306480). All other types of 2-stroke oil should
be mixed 40:1 (2,5%). Use a container designed for the purpose. Never mix
directly into the tank.
Never tank with the engine running or when it is hot.
If you spill fuel it must be wiped off before starting the engine.
Move the machine away from where you tanked before starting it.
Start / stop
Press the ON/OFF switch to I.
ON = I, OFF = 0
Press the primer 6 times until no more air is seen in the return pipe. (This
is not necessary if the engine is warm).
Activate the choke. (This is not necessary if the engine is warm).
Pull the recoil cord until the engine starts. Press down the choke handle to
open position.
It is important to follow the recoil cord back with your hand and not let it
jump back by it self.
Leave the engine to run for 10 seconds before using the machine.
Adjust the speed using the throttle.
The engine is turned OFF by pressing the ON/OFF switch to 0.
Important. Do not use the machine at very high rotations (throttle) for
the first 10 hours. All bolts and nuts must be tightened after 2 hours use.
Adjustment of cutting height
The cutting height has 3 positions: 10, 20, and 30 mm.
To adjust the height turn the adjustment knob 5-6 full turns.
It should not be removed.
Press the knob towards the machine and at the same time move the front wheel
to the other side. Lift or lower the arm to the new position.
Pull the knob back out and tighten when the arm is in the correct position.
Edge guide
The edge guide is used when working against solid material like a paved
surface to prevent the blade from being damaged against the hard surface.
Press the handle to the side (towards the centre of the machine) and then
downwards. Then press it to the side again.
The edge guide is now active.
When the edge guide lever is up the edge guide is not in use.
Using the machine
Check the area for wiring, rock and other parts that may be damaged or make
damage to the machine.
Adjust the cutting height to 20 mm. If the ground is very hard or very soft
you may need to change the adjustment to 10 mm and 30 mm.
Use the edge guide to keep the direction.
Slowly lower the edge cutter while pressing the throttle.
Slowly push the machine forward keeping the direction.
If cutting against a paved surface use the edge cutter by pressing it lightly
against the paved surface. See above how to active the edge cutter.
Changing the blade
Place the edge cutter on the side with the blade turned up. Make sure the
machine is placed on a clean surface to prevent dirt from getting into the air
intake of the engine.
Remove the spark plug cap.
Hold firmly a spanner on the blade flange loosen the lock nut with another
spanner.
Remove the blade.
Fit a new blade.
Fit the disc and the nut and tighten.
Air filter
The air filter should be cleaned regularly according to the area in which you
use the machine.
Remove the cover. Large dust particles may be removed by tapping the filter
lightly.
Wash the filter in mild soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and let it dry
completely. Pour a few drops of 2-stroke oil onto the filter.
Press the filter to remove any excess oil. Remount the filter.
Fit the cover correctly and lock it.
Spark plug
Check the spark plug after 10-15 hours of use.
Remove the spark plug cap. Use the spark plug wrench to remove the spark plug.
Clean the spark plug and adjust the spark plug gap to 0.6 – 0.7 mm.
Replace damaged or worn spark plugs.
Fit the spark plug with your fingers. Fasten tightly using the wrench.
Use spark plugs type Denso W14M-U10.
Maintenance and storage
Every time the machine has been used it should be cleaned completely.
If the machine will not be used for a longer period of time the fuel tank must
be emptied completely. All metal parts must be oiled to prevent corrosion.
Remove the spark plug, pour a few drops of engine oil into the cylinder and
pull the starting cord 2-3 times to make the oil disperse. Fit the spark plug.
Only use original spare parts.

Accessory
A weed cleaner brush can be fitted on the edge cutter, to clean between the
tiles.
The weed cleaner brush is sold separately.

It is only used for fitting the brush on the machine.
