PA Wall and Ceiling Speaker

These instructions are intended for install-ers with knowledge of 100 V PA technology. Please read the instructions carefully prior to installation and keep them for later reference.

Applications
This wall and ceiling speaker for flush mounting is specially designed for PA systems using 100 V tech-nology.

  •  The product is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it against dripping water, splash water and high air humidity. The admissible ambient temperature range is 0 – 40 °C.
  •  For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use chemicals or water.
  •  No guarantee claims for the product and no lia-bility for any resulting personal damage or mate-rial damage will be accepted if the product is not correctly used, if it is not safely installed or not expertly repaired.If the product is to be put out of opera-tion definitively, dispose of the product in accordance with local regulations.

Installation

WARNING
During operation, there is a hazard of contact with a dangerous voltage of up to 100 V at the connection cable. Installation must be carried out by skilled personnel only.Before installation, switch off the amplifier so that its 100 V audio cable will not carry any voltage!

  1.  For installation, a wall or ceiling cutout of approx. 242 × 242 × 100 mm (W × H × D) is required. The acable from the amplifier should protrude about 20 cm from the wall / ceiling.
  2.  Drill a hole for the cable at a suitable point in the plastic flush-mounted housing and guide the cable through the hole. Install the housing into the wall / ceiling so that its front edge is flush with the wall / ceiling.
  3.  Loosen the screw on the grille and remove the grille / speaker combination from the white frame.Screw the frame to the housing with the four screws provided. When doing this, make sure that the threaded hole for the grille screw is opposite the marking on the inside of the housing.
  4.  Connect the speaker via its terminal strip: Con- nect the white conductor and the conductor cor-responding to the desired nominal power to the 100 V audio cable from the amplifier (☞ table). If there are several speakers in a room, make sure that they all have the same polarity.Please make sure to note: The total power of all speakers connected must not exceed the ampli-fier power. Overload may damage the ampli-fier!
  5.  Insert the grille/ speaker combination into the frame again: Insert the lugs of the grille into the slots of the frame and fasten the grille with the grille screw.
