These instructions are intended for users with basic knowledge of audio
technology. Please read the instructions carefully prior to operation and keep
them for later reference.
The figures relating to the text below can be found on pages 2 and 3. The transmitter and the receiver are similar, so only one illustration is used.

Applications
TRAVEL-VLOG is used for wireless transmission of audio sig-nals from the
microphone integrated in the transmitter or from the tie clip microphone
provided to a video camera or smartphone, e. g. for video recording.
Ten channels in the 2.4 GHz range are available for wire-less transmission.
The transmission range depends on local conditions and may cover up to 50 m.

Charging the Batteries and Checking the Charging Status
The transmitter and the receiver are supplied with power via built-in lithium- ion batteries. Fully charge the batteries before first use:
- Before charging, switch off the devices [keep the button (5) pressed for approx. 3 s until the LEDs go out]. The devices cannot be used while their batteries are charged.
- Connect the micro USB plugs of the charging cable (fig. 5) to the jacks (6) on the lower sides of the transmitter and the receiver. Connect the USB plug of the adapter to the USB port of a computer or a 5 V power supply unit with USB port.
- The LED “LO /CHG” (3) lights red while the battery is charged. When the battery has been fully charged, the LED “FULL” (4) lights green.
- To check the charging status, briefly press the button when the device is switched off. The LED “LO /CHG” (3) then flashes red up to 4 times depending on the charging status (4 times = battery fully charged; no flashing = battery discharged).
Connections
Camera / Recorder
To connect the recorder, connect the 3.5 mm jack LINE OUT (1) of the receiver
to the audio input of the recorder. The jack has 3 poles so that both channels
receive the mono signal when it is connected to a stereo input. Depending on
the input jack of the recorder, use the cable with the 3-pole plug (fig. 3) or
the cable with the 4-pole plug (fig. 4) (e. g. for connection to a
smartphone).
Tie clip microphone
To use the tie clip microphone provided (fig. 2) instead of the integrated
microphone (1) of the transmitter, connect the tie clip microphone to the
transmitter via the 3.5 mm jack (8).
Headphones
To monitor the audio signal received, headphones can be connected to the
receiver via the 3.5 mm jack (8). The jack has 3 poles so that both channels
receive the mono signal when stereo headphones are connected.
Operation
Switching on /off
To switch on the devices, keep the button (5) pressed respectively for approx.
3 s until the LED PAIR (2) lights blue. If the LED of the receiver flashes
blue, this means that the transmitter is still switched off or is out of
range. After switching on the transmitter, the LED of the receiver flashes
more slowly at first during channel tuning with the transmitter and then
lights permanently. Now the system is ready for operation. If the LED “LO
/CHG” flashes red during operation, charge the battery soon (chapter 4).
After use or during long periods of inactivity, switch off the devices to
prevent unnecessary discharge of the bat-teries. To do this, keep the button
(5) pressed for approx. 3 seconds until the LEDs go out. The receiver switches
off automatically after 5 minutes if it has not received any radio signal from
the transmitter.
Changing the channel
If there is interference during transmission (e. g. from other wireless
transmission systems), the transmission channel can be changed with the
buttons +/− (9) on the transmitter. The receiver will automatically change the
channel accordingly.
Muting the sound
To mute the sound, briefly press the button (5) on the receiver. To indicate
muting, the LED PAIR (2) flashes briefly only every 2 seconds. To unmute the
sound, briefly press the button again.
Adjusting the volume
Average volume is preset each time the device is switched on. The buttons +/−
(9) on the receiver can be used to increase or decrease the volume as desired.
Fastening Options
The clips (7) on the back of the transmitter and the receiver offer versatile fastening options, e. g. on your clothes. In addition, the clip is dimensioned to fit into the standard hot shoe of a camera. The tie clip microphone has its own clip. In case of strong wind noise, the foam windshield can be replaced by the artificial fur windshield provided.
