PREPARATION AND STARTING

  1. The place to set the compressor should be ctean, dry and ventilated
  2. Keep the use voltage within 5% of rated
  3. Keep the oil level in the red circle leveler
  4. Recommend compressor off use SAE30 or L DAB100 when the indoor temperature is over 10’C. and use SAE10 or – DAB68 below 10C.
  5. Open the outiet vatve. set the knob of the pressure switch in position on, Let the compressor run 10 Minutes with no load to ensure lubricatıng the moving parts before regular service.
  6. Checking the tension of V -belt. t is correct when the belt can be depressed downward 10-15mm with fingers by the middle of the belt.
  7. Please choose the correct power supply according to the parameters shown on the motor plate

OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENT

The compressor is controlled by pressure switch when normal working. t can be stopped automatically as pressure increases to the maximum and restar! as pressure decreases to the minimum. The rated pressure has been adjusied when produced. Don’t change it carelessly.As soon as motor switched off the compressed air in the discharge pipe should be released through the release valve under the switch. This is the necessary condition for restart .or the motor witl be damaged. The rated pressure can be adjusted by turning the adjusting bolt of the switch (Fig.1 or Fig.2). BORMANN BAT5050 Air
Compressor FIG 1

CAUTIONS

  1. Never unecrew any connecting part hen the tank is in pressure condition.
  2. Never disassemble any electrical part before disconnecting the plug
  3. Never adjust the satety vaive carelessly
  4. Never use the compressor in place where voltage is too low or too high.
  5. Never use the metallic area of electric Wire lessi an 4mm and the length more than 5m.
  6. Never disconnect the plug to stop the compressor set the switch knob in position off instead.
  7. If the release valve doesn’t work as the motor stops find the cause immediately so as not to damage motor.
  8. Lubricating oil must be clean. Oil leveł shoud be kept in the red circle of leveler.
  9. Disconnect the plug to cut off the power supply after using.
  10. The protector had already set the protection value and parameter according to the working requests, no change and mobilize.

MAINTENANCE

  1. The clean crankcase and renew lubricating oil after the first 20 working hours.
  2. Check the oil level after every 20 working hours. and replenish if necessary.
  3. Open drain cock under the tank to exhaust condensate after every 60 working hours.
  4. The clean crankcase and renew the oil. ciean air filter. and check safety valve and pressure gauge after every 120 working hours.

TROUBLES AND REMEDIES

BORMANN BAT5050 Air Compressor FIG 2

DETAIL CAUTIONS

  • Intended media: Air

  • The inlet temperature is 40, discharge temperature is less than 180

  •  Specification of filters concerning quality, quantity: 1 pc and recommended frequency of replacement is 250hours.

  • Limiting pressures is 0.1Mpa, temperatures of the lubrication system is less then 70

  • Warnings: high oil viscosity during cold start-up, clogged oil filters or valve malfunction can result in oil starvation.

  • be careful with the Location of excessively hot surfaces on the black plastic cover.

  • The requirement for pressure relief valve maintenance and testing
    Pressure release valve: when the inside of one way valve lose control, and when the pressure of the intercooler is over the
    value, the discharge valve will open automatically to protect the intercooler. safety valve: when the pressure switch lose
    effectiveness, the tank pressure will be 1.1 times then its rated pressure, the safety valve will open automatically to
    protect the respective equipment. Note: The above two kinds of valve is rigorous security settings, any change or revise
    at random is strictly forbidden.

    • instructions for correct operation are shown in next page, inspection according to the warning, lifting and transportation should
      be careful, never down the machine.
  • warning: All hoses and fittings are suitable for site use at the maximum allowable pressure of the portable
    compressors

    • recommendation: for pressures above 7 bar, delivery hoses should be fitted with a safety cord, e.g.wire rope
    • Inclination from the horizontal is not permitted;
    • Before towing a portable compressor:
    • the jockey wheel or support stand is raised;
    • the couping is securely fastened to the towing vehicle;
    • a safety device is installed to stop the compressor if the towing connection fails while towing
    • lighting leads are correctly connected
    • parking brake to be disengaged, where fitted,
    • The appropriate purging of associated piping and equipment;
    • the parking brake has not fitted the use of wheel chocks should be used when parked.
