PREPARATION AND USE
Remove all packaging material and remove the appliance with accessories. Remove all adhesive foils, stickers or paper from the appliance. Wash all parts which will come in touch with food in hot water with soap, rinse them thoroughly with clean water and wipe dry or let dry before first use.
ASSEMBLY
Insert the pulp container F into the holder. Slide container B into the
propulsion unit A all the way. Put the sieve C onto the propulsion shaft A2 a
secure it with slight pressure. Put lid D onto container B and secure it by
snapping the closures A3 (slide the upper parts of the closures onto the
protrusions in the grooves of the lid first and then snap in their bottom
parts). Pay special attention to this operation. The lid is now secured in the
proper position and drives unit A can work. Proceed reversely when removing
the individual parts.
Note: If the has been placed and secured incorrectly, the appliance will
not turn on.
Food preparation
- The appliance is intended for processing almost all kinds of fruit and vegetables.
- Currant, bananas, avocado, figs, mango, etc. are not suitable for processing in the juicer.
- Such fruits may be processed with a fruit processing machine, mixer, and flour-kneading machine. · Always use fresh, ripe fruits and vegetables which will give you more juice.
- Remove the stems and haulms.
- Wash the fruit or vegetables thoroughly.
- Cut bigger foods into smaller pieces.
- Remove pits (e.g. with plums, apricots, cherries, etc.)
- Remove thick skin (e.g. with melons, pineapples, cucumbers, potatoes, beet, celery, etc.)
- Peel citrus fruits and remove white pulp and seeds; otherwise, the juice could turn bitter.
- Foods with thin skin do not need to be peeled (e.g. apples, pears, carrots, radish, parsley, etc.).
Use of the appliance
Place the assembled juicer on a firm, flat and dry surface (see par.I. SAFETy
PRECAUTIONS). Openings in the appliance ensure the flow of air during
ventilation and must not be covered or blocked in any way. The feet of the
appliance must also not be removed. Make sure that the power supply cord is
not damaged and that it does not lead through any sharp or hot surfaces. The
socket must be easily accessible so that it would be possible to unplug the
appliance immediately in case of danger. Plug the fork of the supply cord
A4 into the el. outlet. Place container G without the lid G1 or
another suitable container for juice. Turn the appliance on by turning the
switch A1 to the desired position according to the food processing.
– When processing soft/juicy food (e.g. apples, citrus fruit, tomatoes, etc.),
turn the selector to position 1 (low speed).
– When processing food with a lower juice ration (e.g. carrots, parsley, etc.)
and when processing hard food (e.g. celery), turn the regulator to position 2
(high speed).
Feed the prepared food into the feeding opening D1 a push them slightly with
the stamper E. Do not push hard on the stamper, it could affect the quality of
the juice or even cause the appliance to stop. Having finished using the
appliance, turn it off, wait till the rotating sieve stops completely, and
unplug the appliance from the outlet by pulling out the fork of the supply
cord from the socket. Before pouring the juice, put lid G1 on container G
which will catch the foam.
BE SURE:
- Not to use excessive force to press the propeller, since such a way may influence the quality of the juice, and may cause the filter to stop rotating as well.
- Never to stretch fingers or other objects into the feeding tube.
- When all the materials are processed up and there is no more juice flowing out, turn off the juicer and pull out the plug, and wait till the filter stops rotating completely.
- Choose such amount of food for processing so that it does not exceed the maximum allowed contents of the container marked by a line (350 ml).
- We recommend suspending work once in a while and removing the pulp which has collected on the sieve or the lid (see par. I. SAFETy PRECAUTIONS).
- The preparation times depend on the amount, kind, and quality of the food used and range in tens of seconds. The maximum time of continuous operation is 1 minute, then leave the appliance to rest and cool down for approx. 2 min.
- If you need to empty the pulp container F during the process, turn off the appliance first.
- Lift the container, tilt it and remove it. Replace it reversely after emptying.
- If the appliance becomes stuck, turn it off immediately and clean it.
TIPS FOR OPERATION
- To get more juice, push soft foods slowly.
- To keep as many vitamins as possible, consume the juice soon.
- In case you need to keep the juice for several hours, put it in a refrigerator. The juice will stay fresh longer if you add a few drops of lemon juice.
- Water down the juice for children with the same amount of water.
- You can use the pulp for other purposes in the kitchen (e.g. for soups, sauces, etc.)
- The preparation (processing) time of food is only approximate, it depends on the quantity, type and quality of ingredients used and it ranges between seconds and minutes (see the table).
- It is necessary to use fresh fruits or vegetables because the fresh fruits or vegetables contain more juice. Pineapple, beet, celery stem, apple, cucumber, carrot, various gourds, tomato, pomegranate, orange and tangerine, and grape are especially fit to be juiced in the juicer.
- It is unnecessary to remove the tender peel or thin peel of the fruits, only the thick peel needs to be removed in advance, e.g.: orange and tangerine, pineapple, and raw beet
- In juicing apples, the juice thickness depends on the variety of the apple. The more juice an apple contains, the thinner the juice will be. Please choose the apple variety in compliance with your favor. The apple juice will turn yellow very soon, and putting some drops of lemon juice in will prolong the turning-yellow time.
- The starch-containing fruits such as banana, papaya, avocado, fig, mango, etc. are not fit to be juiced with the juicer. Such fruits may be processed with a fruit processing machine, mixer and flour-kneading machine.
- Leaf vegetables and their stems can also be juiced, it is necessary to press the propeller slowly
- The juicer is not fit for juicing fruits and vegetables that are especially hard, of multiple fives, and contain rich starch, such as sugar cane.
MAINTENANCE
Unplug the appliance from the electric outlet before each maintenance and
cleaning by pulling out the fork of the supply cord from the socket! Do not
use any abrasive cleaning agents (e.g. sharp objects, diluents, or other
dissolvents)! Clean the propulsion unit A and shaft A2 with a soft, damp
cloth. Wash the other removable accessories immediately after use in hot water
with soap, rinse them with clean water and let them dry (do not use the
dishwasher). Pay special attention when cleaning the sieve as it may cause
injury. Sieve C may be easily cleaned with brush H. Some fruits may discolor
the accessories. This has, however, no effect on the functions of the
appliance and this discoloration will usually disappear with time.
Never dry the plastic die-cast over a heat source (e.g. stove, el./gas
cooker).
- Take care that the binding surfaces and the sealing elements are functional.
STORAGE
Store the appliance on a dry place, out of reach of children and persons sui juris.
