Read the operating instructions and the enclosed brochure „Guarantee and additional notices“ completely. Follow the instructions they contain. This document must be kept in a safe place and passed on together with the device.

Function / Application

The PipeControl-Level/Flex camera is a camera unit with integrated self- levelling that can be connected to the VideoControl-Master base unit. The stand-up reel with a cable length of 30 m allows for inspections over great distances. Working with the base unit, colour video images are sent to the LCD for inspecting all places that are difficult to access such as cavities, air shafts, in masonry or in heating and ventilation.

Length measure

The PipeControl-LevelFlex-Camera features an integrated metre counter. The reeled off number of metres appears on the display of the VideoControl-Master (see image). Settings can be changed by means of the base unit. For more information, see: VideoControl-Master, Section 8.6 Length measure.

Metre counter functions

  • Reset: Delete measurement
  • Unit: Switch unit of measure (cm / inch)
  • Activate / deactivate: Switch metre counter on/off

Focal depth

  • The PipeControl-LevelFlex-Camera delivers sharp images in a range between 5 and 60 cm from the camera head.
  • Objects well beyond the focus range may appear blurred.

Connection for control cable

When screwing the control cable to the PipeControl-Level Flex-Camera and the VideoControl-Master base unit on top, ensure that thearrow on the connector plug points toward the groove of the respective device.

  • The sensitive contact pins of the connector only fit into the socket in this position and can be damaged if not positioned correctly or used too forcefully.

Roll up push rod

  • To roll up the push rod properly, push the cable into the reel.
  • The cable should not be rolled up by turning the reel.

Instructions for use

  • The device must only be used in accordance with its intended purpose and within the scope of the specifications.
  • It is absolutely vital to ensure that the PipeControl-LevelFlex-Camera does not come into contact with chemicals, current, moving or hot objects. This can damage the device and put its user at risk of serious injury.
  • The camera head is not acid-resistant or fireproof.
  • Do not use the device in environments containing explosive gases or vapours.
  • The PipeControl-LevelFlex-Camera must not be used for medical examinations/examining people.
  • The unit is not suitable for taking measurements close to dangerous voltages. Therefore always make sure that conductive parts are at zero potential when carrying out measurements in the vicinity of electrical systems. Safe isolation from the power supply and precautions to prevent systems being switched on again must be ensured by implementing suitable measures.
  • Clean the push rod with a damp cloth before rolling it up.
  • Wherever possible leave the plug connections connected to the cable when cleaning the spindle.
  • To roll up the push rod properly, push the cable into the reel. The cable should not be rolled up by turning the reel.
