Safety rules
Use of class 2 lasers

Laser radiation!

Do not point the laser at the eyes! Class 2 laser <1 mW 515 nm

EN 60825-1: 2014 / AC: 2017

Note: Do not stare into the direct or reflected laser beam.

  • Do not point the laser beam at persons.

If the eye is hit by a class 2 laser beam, use it consciously close your eyes and immediately remove the head from the beam.

  • Manipulations (changes) of the laser device are not allowed.
  • Never look into the laser beam or its reflection with instruments optical (magnifying glass, microscope, binoculars, …). Safety rules Management of electromagnetic radiation Safety rules Handling of RF radiation
  • The measuring instrument complies with the regulations and limits values of electromagnetic compatibility in accordance with the EMC Directive 2014/30 / EU, which is in line with the RED Directive 2014/53 / EU.
  • Please pay attention to the local restrictions of use, e.g. in hospitals, in airplanes, petrol stations, and in the vicinity of people with pacemakers. There is a possibility of hazardous interaction or interference in electronic devices and by electronic devices.
  • When measuring near high voltage or in a strong alternating electromagnetic field the accuracy of the measurement may be disturbed.
  • The measuring instrument is equipped with a radio interface.
  • The measuring instrument complies with the regulations and limits values of electromagnetic compatibility and radio radiation in accordance with RED Directive 2014/53 / EU. – Hereby, Umarex GmbH & Co. KG declares that the radio device CompactCross-Laser Pro meets the essential requirements and other provisions of the European Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53 / UE (RED). The full text of the EU declaration of conformity is available at the following address website: http://laserliner.com/info?an=AHV For transport, always switch off all lasers and lock them !! pendulum and move the main switch (4) to the right.

Special features of the product Green laser technology Automatic alignment with magnetically damped pendulum system. The device moves to position basic and then self-adjusts. Transport lock: The pendulum lock protects the device during transport. GRX-READY technology facilitates the use of levels linear under unfavorable conditions. These devices emit a pulsating beam of high- frequency light, recognized by laser receivers over long distances. Devices with PowerGreen technology have a bright green color and high-power LEDs that allow very good visibility of laser lines over long distances on dark surfaces and in bright ambient light. Approx. 6 times brighter than a typical red laser in length 630–660 nm

  1. Laser line selector / Handheld receiver mode

  2. Leveling LED Red: Leveling disabled Green: Leveling enabled

  3. Battery compartment (rear)

  4. ON / OFF switch, protection for transport

  5. Laser beam window

  6. 1/4 “tripod thread (from the bottom)

  7. Handheld receiver mode LED

Installing the Batteries

Open the battery compartment and insert the batteries (2 x 1.5V LR6 (AA)) according to the symbols installation. Pay attention to this correct polarity.

Horizontal and vertical leveling

  • Release the transport lock, move the ON / OFF switch (4) to the left. A laser cross appears. You can use the selection button turn the laser lines on and off separately.Laserliner-081-144A-CompactCross-Laser-Pro-Line-Laser-fig-3
  • For horizontal and vertical leveling, the transport securing device must be released. The LED (2) lights up solid green. When the tool is outside the automatic leveling range of 4 °, the laser lines blink and the LEDs (2) light up, and an acoustic signal sounds. Position the device so that it finds in terms of leveling. The LED (2) lights up green again, and the laser lines shine constantly.

Handheld receiver mode Optional: Working with the GRX laser receiver For long-distance leveling or in the case of laser lines that are no longer visible a GRX laser receiver (optional) must be used. To work with the laser receiver must be turned on line laser to receiver mode via long press of button 1 (receiver mode manual on / off). Now the laser lines are pulsating at high frequency and the laser lines become darker.

  • Thanks to this flashing the receiver the laser recognizes the laser lines.

Observe the operating instructions for the laser receiver for lasers! linear.

Calibration Control

  • Preparation You can check the calibration at any time. Place the leveler in the middle between two battens (walls), which are at least 5 m away. Turn on the device, releasing the transport protection for this purpose (LASER CROSS ON). We use a tripod for the best control.Laserliner-081-144A-CompactCross-Laser-Pro-Line-Laser-fig-4
  1. Mark point A1 on the wall.

  2. Rotate the level by 180 ° and mark the point A2. Between A1 and A2 you now have a horizontal reference line.Laserliner-081-144A-CompactCross-Laser-Pro-Line-Laser-fig-6
    Calibration Control

  3. Place the walls as close as possible to the point marked A1.

  4. Rotate the level 180 ° and mark point A3. The difference between A2 and A3 is tolerance.Laserliner-081-144A-CompactCross-Laser-Pro-Line-Laser-fig-7

If A2 and A3 are separated by more than 0.35 mm per m, justification is necessary. Please contact your local dealer or service. UMAREX-LASERLINER.

Checking the vertical line
Position the instrument approx. 5 m from one of the walls. Hang the plumb on the wall with a string length of 2.5 m. The riser should be loosely suspended. Turn on the instrument and aim the vertical laser on the plumb string. The instrument meets tolerance requirements if the deviation of the laser line from the string is smaller than ± 1.75 mm.

Checking the horizontal line
Position the instrument approx. 5 m from one of the walls and turn it on. Mark point B on the wall. Take the laser approx. 2.5 m to the right and mark it point C. Check that points B and C are aligned horizontally (tolerance ± 1.75 mm). Measurement repeated by moving the laser to the left.

Calibration should be checked regularly before use after completion! transport and after long storage.

Data transmission
The device has a digital connector that enables data transmission via radio technology to mobile end devices with a radio interface (e.g. smartphone, tablet). System requirements for a digital connection can be found at http://laserliner.com/info?an=ble The device can establish a radio connection with compatible devices with the radio standard IEEE 802.15.4. Radio standard IEEE 802.15.4 is a transmission protocol for WPAN wireless personal networks (Wireless Personal Area Networks). The range is determined by a distance max 10m from the end device and depends to a great extent on environmental conditions, such as wall thickness and material, sources of interference radio and the transmitting / receiving properties of the terminal equipment. The digital connection is always activated after switching on because the system radio has been designed with very low energy consumption in mind. The mobile terminal device can connect to the switched-on device using the app.

App
An app is required to use a digital connection. It can be downloaded from the respective online stores depending on from end device:Laserliner-081
-144A-CompactCross-Laser-Pro-Line-Laser-fig-9

  • Make sure the radio interface of the mobile terminal is active.

After starting the application and activating the Digital Connection function, you can connect the connection between the mobile terminal and the measuring device. If the application detects several active measuring devices, it should select the appropriate instrument. At the next start, this measuring instrument can be automatically restored and connected.

Additional functions via the application

Additional functions are available via the app. If the instrument control it is not technically possible to restore the application level factory state of the instrument by turning it off and on to use with standard functions to an unlimited extent. !! Make sure the radio interface of the mobile terminal is active.

Maintenance and care tips Clean

all components with a slightly damp cloth; avoid using of cleaning agents, scouring agents, and solvents. In front of removing the batteries for a long period of storage. Keep the device clean, and dry place.

Calibration
A voltage-measuring instrument must be calibrated and tested regularly to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results. We recommend carrying out calibration once a year.
