Product Usage Instructions

MULTI-MAGIC ROOM SENSOR INSTALLATION

This sensor is designed to measure room temperature and relative humidity and is compatible with CW-80 or CW-H coolers. Only one sensor can be connected per cooler.

Recommended Cable Specification:

The sensor requires 24VDC power and 2 signal wires. The 24VDC power can be supplied by the cooler or a separate power supply (not included).

CW-H FITMENT:

CONNECTING: After installation, navigate to the SENSORS screen on the cooler PLC screen using the LEFT/RIGHT buttons. Select the ENABLED/DISABLED field under the ROOM sensor and set it to ENABLED. Check the Temperature and R/H values on the cooler PLC screen to ensure they are correct. Units can be changed between oC and oF in the PLC settings.

CW-80 FITMENT:

When used with a Multi-Magic Wall Controller, multiple room sensors can be used to control internal warehouse space temperature.

IMPORTANT! READ THIS FIRST BEFORE COMMENCING INSTALLATION

MULTI-MAGIC ROOM SENSOR INSTALLATION

This sensor measures the room temperature and relative humidity. It is intended for use with a compatible CW-80 or CW-H cooler. One sensor can be connected per cooler.

Input Range

  • Temperature: 0-10V = 0-50 oC / 32-122oF
  • Relative Humidity: 0-10V = 0-100%

Recommended Cable Specification

The sensor requires 24VDC power and 2 signal wires.

  • Instrumentation Cable
  • 4x 0.5mm2 (AWG 20) conductors;
  • Communication wiring must be kept separate from AC power wiring.
  • Always route communication cables at least 300mm (12”) away from high-voltage cables and high-power machines.
  • Crossover high-power cables at right angles.

Note! 24VDC power can be supplied by the cooler (as shown) or a separate power supply (not included).

EXAMPLE SETUP 1SEELEY-INTERNATIONAL-CW-80-Multi-Magic-Room-Sensor-
fig-5

3x CW-H coolers are used to control internal warehouse space temperature. Room sensors are installed on Coolers 1 and 3.  Temperature and relative humidity values from the WallController and both Room Sensors are averaged together on the Wall Controller

EXAMPLE SETUP 2SEELEY-INTERNATIONAL-CW-80-Multi-Magic-Room-Sensor-
fig-6

3x CW-H coolers are used to control internal warehouse space temperature. A Room Sensor is installed on Cooler 3. The Wall Controller is installed inside a separate office. Temperature and relative humidity values from the Wall Controller are set OFF and only the Room Sensor is used All other cooler control functions are still possible with the Wall Controller.
