Mercury HG630B Spark Huawei Fibre Configuration
Using your own router? No worries, we’ve got you covered!
Log into the gateway:
- Ensure your device is connected to the Router (preferably via cable)
- Open a web browser
- Type the following in the address bar at the top: 192.168.1.254
- Default Username: admin
- Default Password: admin
This should then give access to the router’s user interface
(If the password is incorrect you will need to Factory Reset the router by pushing the Inset Reset button on the back for 10 seconds)
How to add correct settings for the Mercury network:
- From the menu on the left select: Basic
- From the drop-down menu select: WAN
On the main page locate: Spark_Fibre or TNZ_Fibre or ETH_VID10 Select this option. Select this option.
Ensure the following settings are changed:
- Wan Connection: Ticked
- Service Type: tick Internet (TR069 not ticked)
- Connection Type: IP Routing (PPP)
- NAT Type: NAPT
- Authentication Mode: Auto
- Connection Trigger: Always On
- Username: (your mercury acct number)@mercurybroadband.co.nz
- Password: password
- Click Submit
- From the menu on the left select: Link Interface
- On top of screen locate FIBRE
- VLAN ID: 10
- 802.1P: -1 or 0
- Click Submit
You should now be connected to Fibre!
