CHIAYO IRX2 Infrared Wall Mount Receiver Amplifier

IRX2 Infrared Wall Mount Receiver Amplifier

Cautions

  1. Do not cover the infrared emitter area of the wireless transmitter or the surface of the infrared sensor.
  2. Do not use the transmitter too close to speakers to prevent feedback.
  3. Do not install near heat source or in a place subject to direct sunlight, excessive dust, mechanical vibration or shock.
  4. Do not use two transmitters on one channel at same time because it will cause abnormal operation.
  5. Since this system uses infrared light carrier to transmit audio signals, it is not suitable for installation in rooms with dark ceilings and walls.

Connecting central amplifier unit for public broadcasting

When IRX2 receives public broadcasting audio signal from the central amplifier unit into the emergency override (EO) jack, all audios will be muted except the EO audio.

  1. Plug and tighten the EO cables (x2) into the 3P PHOENIX connector’s jacks as illustrated below. Then plug the connector to the 3P PHOENIX jack.

broadcasting

  2. Switching voltage level of EO input from the central amplifier unit.
If the EO input voltage is 100V, please switch to 100V. (LEFT )
If the EO input is LINE level, please switch to LINE. (RIGHT )

  3. Adjust the sensitivity level for activation with EO SENS control knob. The output level of central amplifier unit varies on brands and models. The activation level can be adjusted after connecting to IRX2 receiver amplifier. Please select a proper sensitivity level that can activate EO so that paging call or other announcement can be broadcasted via IRX2.
Important!! High sensitivity may result in noise into IRX2 too. Please set the EO SENS to a level that is just enough to make EO broadcast work.

  4. The public broadcasting volume can be adjusted by EO LEVEL control knob.
