Power supply

  • The unit operates on an internal rechargeable Li-ion battery and 220V mains via power adapter (not included).
  • The battery can be recharged with the provided USB charging cable. Before first plugging the appliance, check that the voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds to the mains voltage in your home.
  • Insert the charging cable into the DC 5 V socket at the top panel of the unit.
  • The LED on the panel will light up during the charging and switch off when the unit is fully charged.
  • When the unit is fully discharged, it will make a sound signal and turn off.
  • For best results, try to fully charge the battery before each use. The full charge will take about 3 hours.
  • Press and hold the button to switch the unit on or switch it off.
  • When the unit is not wirelessly connected, it will turn off automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity.

General operations

Bluetooth wireless playback

  • This unit can wirelessly playback audio from any device with Bluetooth A2DP function.
  • The wireless range is approximately within 10 meters in direct line of sight.
  • Wireless audio streaming requires pairing of a Bluetooth device (e.g. smartphone, tablet).

HOW TO PAIR YOUR DEVICE TO THIS UNIT

  • Make sure the Bluetooth function is switched on in your device.
  • Switch on the unit and press the M button repeatedly to select the Bluetooth mode (selected by default).
  • Find the unit listed in the Bluetooth connections list of your device (as SM-PS5019B).
  • The initial setup is required only once per device. The unit will automatically pair to the last paired device.
  • Press the button to pause and resume playback.
  • Press the – or + button to go to a previous or next track. Press and hold these buttons to decrease or increase volume, respectively.
  • During the Bluetooth connection, you can check the unit’s charge level on your phone.

USB/MicroSD playback

  • Turn on the device.
  • Insert a USB/microSD (TF) card into the corresponding slot. Playback will start automatically once USB/microSD is inserted. Press the M button to switch to another mode or come back to the USB/microSD mode.
  • The playback operation is the same as in the Bluetooth mode.

It may take up to 60 seconds to open and verify a large USB/microSD drive with many files.

General USB/microSD notes

  • This unit is equipped with a USB/microSD slot that can read and play MP3 and WAV files stored on standard USB/microSD cards up to 32 GB.
  • FAT32 file system is supported by this unit. Never remove USB/microSD cards from the unit during playback, always stop playback, then press the M button to switch to another mode before removing the storage to prevent damage to your files and cards/drives themselves.
  • Slight noise during playback pauses is not a construction defect, it is determined by the factory presets of the dynamic noise reduction system.
  • Long-term playback of an audio file at maximum volume is not the normal mode of operation of the device. In this mode, there may be sound distortions related, in particular, to the recording quality of the file being played.

External device connection

  • You can connect the device to an external source (e.g. smartphone or PC) using the AUX cable.
  • Turn on the audio system and connect the devices by the 3.5 – 3.5 AUX cable.

FM radio

Use the charging cable as an antenna to improve radio reception.

  • Turn on the device.
  • Press M repeatedly to select the FM mode.
  • Press to automatically scan and save all available radio stations. The procedure will take several minutes and shouldn’t be interrupted.
  • Once the search is finished, press – or + buttons to go to the previous or next radio station. Press and hold these buttons to adjust the volume.

Hands-free

While Bluetooth connection, you can use the audio system as a speaker phone.

  • During an incoming call press the button once to answer, or press it twice to reject the call.
  • While speaking press once to hang up. This function works only in Bluetooth mode.

TWS function

  • If you have two units at your disposal, you can pair them to each other and enable the True Wireless (TWS) stereo sound.
  • Turn the both units on and switch them into the Bluetooth mode. Press and hold the M button on any of the units. Make sure the other unit is not paired to any Bluetooth devices.
  • To disconnect, turn off the wireless connection, and then press and hold М.
  • TWS works only in Bluetooth mode and only in featured models.

Mood light

  • Press the button to switch mood light modes.
  • Press and hold to switch off or switch onthe mood light.

Maintenance and care

Switch off the unit, unplug from the power supply. The outside of the appliance can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth.
