MARTEC MPLCDS Ceiling Fan Remote Controller Installation Guide

WARNING

Installation MUST carry out by a qualified and licensed electrician.

IMPORTANT REMINDER

  1. The supply to the remote control receiver should be connected through a mains switch, i.e. existing wall switch.
  2. Disconnect from power at wall switch before working on remote control receiver or ceiling fan.
  3. Install receiver into the ceiling fan canopy of the fan to ensure proper protection.
  4. This unit is to be used for the control of ceiling fan and in a AC230/240V 50Hz power supply only.
  5. Do not install in damp locations or immerse into water. (For indoor use only.)
  6. Do not pull on or cut leads shorter.
  7. Do not drop or bump the unit.

NB: The battery will weaken with age and should be replaced before leaking takes place as this will damage the transmitter. Dispose of used battery properly, keep the battery out of reach of children.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Ceiling fan must be set at HIGH speed and light kit (If any) at ON position after installation.
  2. Once the connection has been made, the receiver inserts into the drop rod hanging bracket.
  3. Please make sure the antenna wire has been safely folded inside the canopy cover before final assembly (DO NOT cut the antenna wire).

NB: Incorrect wire connection would damage the receiver.

CODE SWITCH

  1. Codes are set by pushing dip switches up and down. It is imperative that the code used f both transmitter and receiver is exactly the same; otherwise remote controller will not work. Please note the code switch will enable you to operate a second remote controller independently. For example, if you have two ceiling fans with 2 remote control units, set 2 different codes for each set of transmitter/receivers. This means you can operate each ceiling fan independently.
  2. Use battery DC1.5V/AAA x 2pcs for the remote control

FUNCTIONS OF TRANSMITTER

: Turn off the ceiling fan.
: Turn on the fan at high speed
: Turn on the fan at medium speed
: Turn on the fan at low speed
: When fan turned on, press this key for set timer 1 to 8 hrs. for turning off. For example, set 1hr. that the ceiling fan will turn off after 1 hour automatically.
: Press and release immediately to turn on or off the light
