  • Carefully follow all the directions given in the mounting instructions and pay attention to all relevant information in the vehicle manual during assembly.   • This product was developed for vehicles in their factory setting. Compatibility with original accessory parts or other manufacturers’ accessory parts is not guaranteed. GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Observe the country-specific regulations concerning vehicle registration / operation as well as TOV regulations if applicable. If required, register installed parts in the vehicle documents through an appropriate inspection authority.
  • PREPARATION: Read the mounting instructions carefully and make sure that all items of the parts list are included. Make sure that your vehicle is parked safely and cannot fall over. Turn off the engine and remove the ignition key. Let the motor/ exhaust cool off if necessary. Disconnect the vehicle battery when working on the electrical system. Use appropriate tools. Have another person to help you.
  • MOUNTING: All parts and connections removed from the vehicle must be reinstalled in accordance with the vehicle manufacturers’ specifications or replaced by parts delivered by SW-MOTECH. Secure all threads, unless otherwise specified, with medium-strength liquid thread locker. Torque specifications undefined by SW-MOTECH must be obtained from the vehicle manufacturer or by a specialist workshop!
  • FUNCTION CHECK: After installation make sure that all parts and connections previously removed are properly replaced. Also make sure that no moving parts are obstructed and no function of the vehicle is hindered in any way. Cables and hoses must not rub and/ or be pinched. Before starting to ride, perform a comprehensive check of all functions. After the first 50 km and then at regular intervals, check the tightening torque of all screw connections and the proper fit of the product.

  • Remove the original screws from the left mounting points.
  • NOTE: The shown original spacer is not included in models from year of construction 2017.
  • Attach the left crash bar 11 I, as shown in the drawing.
  • ATTENTION: Use liquid thread locker!
  • Do not fully tighten the screws yet.

  • Attach the mounting bracket 191 to the frame of the vehicle, as shown in the drawing.
  • After all parts are aligned without tension, fully tighten the screws 141, 161, 1101 and 1131 as specified in the parts list.

  • After all parts are aligned without tension, fully tighten the nut 119] and the screws 1221. 1241. 128] and 131] as specified in the parts list.

After installation make sure that all parts and hardware previously removed are properly replaced.
  • FUNCTION CHECK: After installation also make sure that no moving parts are obstructed and function of the vehicle is not hindered in any way. Cables and hoses must not rub and/or be pinched. Before starting to ride, perform a comprehensive check of all functions. Regularly check [every 100 km) for the proper seating of all parts and connections removed during installation.

  • Remove the original skid plate and mounting brackets as shown.

  • Remove the two original screws in front as shown.

  • Attach the mounting brackets (1 l and (2) with the original mounting-bracket-screws. At the front of the vehicle, replace the original screws with supplied screws (3) and spacers (4).

  • ATTENTION: Use liquid thread locker!

  • First tighten the original screws with the manufacturer’s specified torque.

  • Then tighten the screws (3) as specified in the parts list.

  • Stick the protective strips (6) on the inner sides of the upper frame clamps (51, as shown in the detail drawing.

  • ATTENTION: For assistance with this step an additional person is recommended! Insert the nut (11) in the upper frame clamp 15). IA small amount of grease will help hold the nut in position during assembly.I Place the upper frame clamp 151, with the nut 111), on the frame of the bike as shown (area behind the footrests).

  • First on left side, insert the screws 18), washers 19), together with the mounting bracket 17) and the lower frame clamp 1101. Loosely attach the mounting bracket 171 to the bike frame as shown on the left side. After the screws are loosely attached on the left side, attach the right side with the same process.

  • NOTE: A long Allen key with a ball end {as shown/ is recommended for this step.

  • ATTENTION: Use liquid thread locker (rear screws)! Do not fully tighten the screws yet.

  • Loosely attach the enginge guard (12) to the mounting brackets (1 ), (2) and (7).

  • ATTENTION: Use liquid thread locker! After all the parts are aligned without tension, fully tighten the screws at front, then the rear, as specified in the parts list.

  • NOTE: Only if necessary, use the extra washers /15/ between mounting bracket /1/ and engine guard /12/ to achieve the correct spacing.

  • Then tighten the screws at the middle, as specified in the parts list. Finally tighten the screws (8) as specified in the parts list.

  • NOTE: For this step we recommend using a small ratchet/torque wrench with a pivoting extension {similar to the drawing/.

PRODUCT SPECIFIC INFORMATION

After the installation check all operations of all handlebar controls, specifically the throttle, front brake, kill switch and clutch, to ensure they are operating correctly and are in accordance with the OEM specifications. Do not ride the vehicle if any controls are not operating correctly. It may be necessary to move the brake and clutch controls toward the handlebar end by a few millimeters to achieve a correct fit.
Make sure the handlebar can fully turn in either direction. If parts of the product makes contact with the tank at full steering lock, it may be necessary to rotate the handlebar up (forward) slightly to allow adequate clearance.

  • Preparation: Make sure the handlebar ends are free. Remove the original handguards and flanged spa cars if mounted.
  • Attach the backbones 1 & 2 with the original handlebar end weights to the handlebar ends
  • ATTENTION, USE liquid thread Locker
  • Do not fully tighten the screws yet
  • NOTE: Installation on mounting points B is shown for the left side. Repeat for right side with applicable parts.
  • Loosely assemble the clamp frames (5) and (6) to the handlebar. Attach the inner ends of the backbones to the clamp frames. Position the backbone in preferred position and tighten all screws in the following order: (3), (7), (9) & (8).
  • ATTENTION: Use liquid thread locker!
  • Tighten the screws as specified in the parts list.

ATTENTION: The assembly of this product can be complicated and requires a good technical understanding. If you are not sure of how to do this, have a specialty garage perform the mounting and service. SW-MOTECH accepts no Liability for damages caused by improper installation.
ATTENTION: After the installation check all operations of all handlebar controls, specifically the throttle, front brake, kill switch and clutch, to ensure they are operating correctly and are in accordance with the OEM specifications. Do not ride the motorcycle if any controls are not operating correctly. Make sure the handlebar can fully turn in either direction. Check periodically (50 km) that all bolts are tight.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Observe the country-specific regulations concerning vehicle registration/ operation as well as TOV regulations if applicable. If required, register installed parts in the vehicle documents through an appropriate inspection authority.

PREPARATION: Read the mounting instructions carefully and make sure that all items of the parts list are included. Make sure that your vehicle is parked safely and cannot fall over. Turn off the engine and remove the ignition key. Let the motor/exhaust cool off if necessary. Disconnect the vehicle battery when working on the electrical system. Use appropriate tools. Have another person to help you.

MOUNTING: All parts and connections removed from the vehicle must be reinstalled in accordance with the vehicle manufacturers’ specifications or replaced by parts delivered by SW-MOTECH. Secure all threads, unless otherwise specified, with medium-strength liquid thread locker. Torque specifications undefined by SW-MOTECH must be obtained from the vehicle manufacturer or by a specialist workshop!

FUNCTION CHECK: After installation make sure that all parts and connections
previously removed are properly replaced. Also make sure that no moving parts are obstructed and no function of the vehicle is hindered in any way. Cables and hoses must not rub and/or be pinched. Before starting to ride, perform a comprehensive check of all functions. After the first 50 km and then at regular intervals, check the tightening torque of all screw connections and the proper fit of the product.

  • Mount the axle bolt (1) to the axle (2), as shown.

  • ATTENTION: Use liquid thread locker! Tighten the axle bolt (1) by hand.

  • Remove the original axle bolt and insert the axle (2) though the front axis mount of your vehicle.

  • ATTENTION: Use liquid thread locker!

  • Tighten the axle bolt (1) as specified.

  • ATTENTION: In the case of dissasembly FIRST diassemble the slider on the right side of the vehicle, THEN on the left side!

  • FINALLY disassemble the axle bolt (1), otherwise the thread of the axle bolt can be damaged!

  • Mount the slider (3) with the shown parts on the left side to the axle bolt (1).

  • ATTENTION: Use liquid thread locker!
    Tighten the screw as specified.

  • Mount the slider (3) on the right side to the axis (2), as shown in the

  • ATTENTION: Use liquid thread locker!
    Tighten the screw (6) as specified.

  • Insert the cover caps (10) on both sides into the openings of the mounted sliders (3) and turn them to their end position.

  • ATTENTION: Make sure that the cover caps (10) fit firmly.

  • Remove the original cover cap from the mounting point on the swing arm.

  • Screw the parts (1) to (7) loosely together, as shown in the detail drawing.
  • WARNING: Use low strength Liquid thread locker!
  • Mount the slider 1) with the shown parts to the swing arm.
  • Tighten the screw (2) until the clamp spacers (6) and (7) are wedged enough to hold the slider (1) firmly in place.
  • NOTICE: Tighten the screw (2) with a maximum of 9 Nm to avoid damaging the components.

  • Insert the cover cap (8) into the opening of the mounted slider (1) and turn it to its end position.
