Installation Instructions
- STEP 1: Remove top door latch mounting screw only.
- STEP 2: Attach reinforcement plate by top mounting hole only, using one provided new screw to prevent the door latch from falling down in the door. Do not tighten down screw at this time.
- STEP 3: Remove two original bottom latch screws and swing plate in position, aligning bottom mounting screw holes.
- STEP 4: Install and tighten provided new bottom mounting screws and tighten top screw.
- STEP 5: After tightening down all mounting screws, open and close door to ensure proper latch operation.
- STEP 6 (Optional): After reinforcement plate is tightened and proper operation is verified, drill holes for auxiliary rivets. Use drill bit matching diameter of locating holes and drill holes through door shell.
