Product Usage Instructions
Installation
- Turn off mains power before installation.
- For Single Fused RCD Spur:
- Connect the wiring from the main supply to the terminals marked LINE.
- Connect the wiring from your appliance to the terminals marked LOAD.
- For Twin Unswitched RCD Socket:
- Connect your main supply wiring to the terminals according to the color code provided.
- Note that earth connections may be made to either or both terminals marked with the earth symbol.
Cleaning
- Clean this fitting only with a soft dry cloth. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaners.

READ THIS FIRST
- Check the pack and make sure you have all of the parts listed on the front of this booklet. If not, contact the outlet where you bought this product.
- This fitting must be installed by a competent person under the Building Regulations referring to the current edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- As the buyer, installer, and/or user of this product, it is your responsibility to ensure that this spur or socket is fit for the purpose for which you have intended it.
- Eterna Lighting cannot accept any liability for loss, damage, or premature failure resulting from inappropriate use.
- Suitable for indoor use only.
- Do not attach to damp surfaces, freshly painted, or otherwise electrically conductive (e.g. metallic surfaces).
- Make connections to the electrical supply per the following code:
- Live – Brown or Red
- Neutral – Blue or Black
- Earth – Green and Yellow
- When making connections, ensure that the terminals are tightened securely and that no strands of wire protrude.
- Check that the terminals are tightened onto the bared conductors and not onto any insulation.
This product must be connected to Earth
- You are advised at every stage of your installation to double-check all electrical connections you have made.
- After you have completed your installation there are electrical tests that should be carried out: these tests are specified in the Wiring Regulations (BS7671) referred to in the Building Regulations.
INSTALLATION
Turn off mains power before installation.
SINGLE FUSED RCD SPUR
- Connect the wiring from the main supply to the terminals marked “LINE”. See the diagram opposite.
- Connect the wiring from your appliance to the terminals marked “LOAD”. See the diagram opposite.
TWIN UNSWITCHED RCD SOCKET
- Connect your main supply wiring to the terminals according to the color code above. Note that earth connections may be made to either or both terminal(s) marked with the earth symbol. See the diagram opposite.

WSARCDMC / TWSARCDWH – Twin Unswitched A Rated RCD Socket
OPERATION
- After installation restore the mains power.
- Press the white reset button and check that the indicator window has turned red.
- (For every use) Press the grey TEST button.
- Check that the indicator window has turned green.
- Press the reset button and use it as a normal socket.
SPECIFICATION
- Maximum operating load: 13A resistive, 3A inductive.
- Mechanically latched (no need to reset after power loss).
- Responsive to both positive and negative cycles.
- Trip speed less than 40ms.
- 30mA trip current.
- RCD contact break: double pole.
- NOTE: the unit will trip if the live and neutral input is reversed and if neutral and/or earth connections are lost. The unit will also react to pulsating earth fault currents.

- WHEN YOUR PRODUCT COMES TO THE END OF ITS LIFE OR YOU CHOOSE TO REPLACE IT, PLEASE RECYCLE IT WHERE FACILITIES EXIST – DO NOT DISPOSE OF HOUSEHOLD WASTE.
