SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The following are important notes on the installation, use and maintenance; save this instruction manual for future reference; use the equipment only as specified in this guide; any other use is considered improper and dangerous; therefore, the manufacturer cannot be held responsible in the event of damages caused by improper, incorrect or unreasonable use.
Before use, ensure the equipment is undamaged; if in doubt, do not attempt to use it and contact the authorized service center; do not leave packing materials (i.e. plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, staples, etc.) within the reach of children as they are potential sources of danger; always remember that they must be separately collected. Make sure that the rating information given on the technical label are compatible with those of the electricity grid; the installation must be performed according to the manufacturer’s instructions considering the maximum power of the appliance as shown on the label; an incorrect installation may cause damage to people, animals or things, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered responsible thereof.
If it is necessary to use adapters, multiple sockets or electrical extensions, use only those that comply with current safety standards; in any case do not exceed the power consumption limits indicated on the electrical adapter and / or extensions, as well as the maximum power shown on multiple adaptor.
Do not leave the unit plugged; better to remove the plug from the mains when the device is not in use. Always disconnect from power supply if you leave it unattended. Cleaning operations should be carried out after unplugging the unit.
If the unit is out of order and you do not want to fix it, it must be made inoperable by cutting power cord.

If the power cord is damaged, or in case of failure and / or malfunction do not tamper with the unit. The reparation must be done by manufacturer or by service center authorized by the manufacturer in order to prevent any risk.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The rear surface of the oven shall be placed against a wall
Do not use the oven when it’s empty or without the glass; it may be damaged. When cooking microwave, use only compatible containers and food.
Do not use the oven if there is any damage to the door or its seals.
If smoke or some burning smell comes out of the oven, immediately stop any operation, unplug the oven and leave the door closed to stifle any flames.
Be careful when handling freshly-cooked food as they may be very hot. After having cooked baby food, mix it to uniform the temperature.
Do not eat food heated or cooked in microwave until at least 3 minutes from finishing the operation.

To avoid any danger due to the exposure to microwaves, do not tamper with the oven and/or remove any part of it. Only qualified personnel can fix the unit.
Never leave the appliance unattended while it is running.
Do not place the oven in water or other liquids, avoiding splashing of liquids.A safety device stops the emission of waves when the door is opened. Anyway, it is preferable to stop cooking before opening. The safety device does not allow the ignition when the door is open.
INSTALLATION

Remove all packaging materials from the cooking compartment.
The oven is very heavy, put it on a solid and stable surface.
When the oven is in use, leave enough space at both sides of it.
Do not use the oven as a shelf support for objects or as a place to store food, pots, containers, etc…
Place oven at distance from radios or TV, as microwaves can interfere with electronic equipment.
CAUTION: do not remove protection layer (see beside figure) placed on the microwaves exit hole (8).
NON-SUITABLE CONTAINERS
Items made of the following materials cannot be placed inside the oven when iis used as a microwave. In fact, microwaves can be rejected by some surfaces, causing the dangerous overheating of the oven.
– Metals
– Crystal glass and glass containing lead
– Aluminum containers and/or layers
– Plastic containing melanine
– Porcelain and pottery containing metals or with metal finishing (such as gold,  silver etc…).
– Sharp-edge objects.

CAUTION: some plastic containers suitable for microwave cooking cannot be used with “grill” or “combined” function, as they may be subject to deformations or even liquefaction.
Never use plastic containers for traditional oven cooking. Only Pyrex containers can be used with both microwave and convection cooking.
Example: pasta, potatoes, meat and fish, which require browning, can only be cooked in a single Pyrex container, passing from initial microwave cooking to final grill browning stage.
CAUTION: metal or aluminum materials, which are prohibited in microwave cooking, can only be used with “Grill”. Be careful not to use them for microwave or combined cooking.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR MICROWAVE COOKING
Following foods may not be introduced into the oven operating microwave cooking.
– Eggs, they may burst.
– Alcohol
– Fruit or foods with natural shell or casing (i.e. apples, potatoes, chestnuts, sausages, etc…): if you need to cook them, pierce the case in several places before starting the cooking process.
– Sealed containers: do not boil water, liquids or food in sealed containers or bottles.

SOME ADVICE

CAUTION: only food should be placed inside the oven, do not insert anything else.
DEFROST Use dishes or containers on top of rotating glass plate in order to collect the fluids lost from foods during the process. Defrosting time changes, depending on the amount and type of food. Check frequently to avoid exceeding the correct defrosting time.
When you decide to freeze food, always consider the defrosting operations: for example, it’s better to freeze slices of meat separately, as they will defrost faster and more homogeneous. MICROWAVE HEATING AND COOKING For more accurate times, before start cooking or heating, always defrost the food. Coated with a transparent film to keep clean the oven. Cooking depends on the type and quantity of food, beyond the selected power. Select the right function according to these elements.
GRILL HEATING AND COOKING For more accurate times, before start cooking or heating, always defrost the food. This oven features the “Grill” cooking and heating function (heat is provided by the resistance which is placed on the upper wall of the cooking chamber). Since the heat comes from only one direction, it is recommended to mix or stir the food during heating and/or cooking process. Cooking depends on the type and quantity of food, beyond the selected power. Select the right cooking function according to these elements.

SET THE CLOCK

– At switch on display shows “ : “ and oven emits a beep.
– Press button CLOCK/PRE-SET (11), hours value flashes.
– Rotate knob (14) until you reach the value you want to set for the hours.
– Press button CLOCK/PRE-SET (11), minutes value flashes.
– Rotate knob (14) until you reach the value you want to set for the minutes.
– Press button CLOCK/PRE-SET (11) to save settings.
WARNING: if unit is unplugged, clock has to be reset.

OPERATING

Select between the following functions: microwave, grill and combined cooking.
Before connecting the plug, insert the rotating plate ring (4) into the notch and fit the glass plate (5) over the ring. Always install all the accessories before turning on the oven.
Plug the appliance and the microwave oven is ready to work.
Place the food and set power and cooking time by using the commands on the control panel depending on the type of cooking to be performed, as described in the following paragraphs.
Inner light is on when door is closed and oven is working, and when door is opened and oven is in standby.
Inner light goes off only if door is closed and oven not working.
Wait until the complete cooking, leaving the door closed. Once the door is opened, the safety device blocks the microwaves. If you wish to continue cooking, it is necessary to close the door. Press STOP/CLEAR (12) button to stop the oven at any time.

FUNCTIONS

A) Defrost
Press button DEFROST (10) to go to defrost function. On display (15), pressing button (10), appear:
D-1, to defrost meat, from 0.1 to 2Kg.
D-2, to defrost soup/sauce, from 0.2 to 3Kg.
D-1, to defrost fish, from 0.1 to 0.9Kg.
After setting weight, press button START (13) to start defrosting.
During the defrost process frequently check the food inside the oven, and turn it several times.
During the defrost oven emits beeps to remind you to turn the food.

B) Riscaldamento e cottura con microonde
– Press button POWER (8), on display appears 100P.
– 5 power levels are available for heating and microwave cooking. Press POWER (8) again to choose between following values
o P 100: 100%, 700W (Fast cooking)
o P 80: 80%, 560W (Medium cooking)
o P 60: 60%, 420W (Slow cooking and steam cooking)
o P 40: 40%, 280W (defrost and heating)
o P 20: 20%, 140W (keep warm function)
– Rotate knob (14) to set cooking time, from 10 seconds to 60 minutes.
– Press button START (13), to start cooking

C) Grill

CAUTION: several materials suitable for microwave cooking are not suitable for grill cooking.
It is advisable to use Pirex glass.
Grill function initiates the resistance placed on the upper part of the cooking compartment. Since the heat comes from only one direction, it is recommended to turn or stir the food once they are half-cooked. The grill works at 800W.
– Press button GRILL/COMBI (9), on display appears “G”.
– Rotate knob (14) to set cooking time, from 10 seconds to 60 minutes.
– Press button START (13), to start cooking

D) Microwave and grill cooking combined
CAUTION: Use only Pirex glass with this kind of cooking.
This function allows combining grill cooking and microwave.
– Press button GRILL/COMBI (9), on display appears “G”.
– Press GRILL/COMBI (9) until on display appear “C-1” e “C-2”.
– C1: 30% microwave + 70% grill
– C2: 55% microwave + 45% grill
– Once selected C-1 or C-2, rotate knob (14) to set cooking time, from 10 seconds to 60 minutes.
– Press button START (13), to start cooking

E) Fast cooking

  1. When oven in standby, press START (13) to switch it on at maximum power for 60 seconds. Pressing again START (13) cooking time increases of 10 seconds, up to 60 minutes (also the knob (14) can be used).
  2. During any cooking, rotate the knob (14) to increase or decrease the cooking  time.
  3. When oven in standby, rotate knob (14) to the LEFT to directly decide  cooking time. Pressing START, oven cooks at 100% power for the time set.

In any moment and with any cooking you can stop microwave oven by pressing PAUSE/CANCEL (12):
– If you want to mix foods during cooking press PAUSE/CANCEL (12) to stop oven, then close the door and press START (13) to resume cooking from the time when it was stopped.
– If you want to stop cooking and cancel it, press PAUSE/CANCEL (12) two times

AUTOMATIC PROGRAMS

The microwave oven features 8 automatic programs as follow:
When oven in standby, rotate knob (14) to choose a program between A1 and A8.
– After choosing the program, press START (13), to start cooking.

Popcorn

| Suitable for popping a bag of corn, which is available in the market, weighted 85g. If the popping speed has been decreased to 1 time per 1-2 seconds you should press Pause/Cancel button to stop the popping process
A.2| Popcorn| Same as A.1 except 100g weight
A.3| Pizza| Warm a piece of chilled pizza of 0.15kg
A.4| Beverage| Heating a cup of 250 ml liquid. The liquid temperature is about 5-10℃. Use a big mouth cup and do not seal

Fish

| Suitable for steaming a fish of 0.45kg. After the fish washed and scales removed, make a slits on the skin of fish. Put the fish on a shallow dish of 22- 27cm diameter, sprinkle lightly with some ingredient and cover the dish with a thin film to prevent water loss. After cooking, stand for 2 minutes.

ATTENTION: Automatic cooking changes according to the type of food you want to prepare and according to the weight of food. Starting temperature of food should be around 20-25 degree.

SET DELAY START

If you want to start cooking at a certain time, you can program delayed start.
– Set clock as explained in “Set the clock” paragraph.
– Set time and type of cooking
– Set the time when you want to start cooking.
Example: You want to switch on microwave at 21.50, with microwave cooking power 80%, 7 minutes long.
– Set clock as explained in “Set the clock” paragraph.
– Press button POWER (8), until on display appears P80.
– Rotate knob (14) to set cooking time, 7 minutes in this case.
– Do not press Start, but set switch on time as follows:
– Press for 3 seconds the button PRE-SET/CLOCK (11), hours value flashes.
– Rotate knob (14) until you reach the value you want to set for the hours, 21 in this case.
– Press button PRE-SET/CLOCK (11), minutes value flashes.
– Rotate knob (14) until you reach the value you want to set for the minutes, 50  in this case.
– Press button PRE-SET/CLOCK (11) to save settings. Cooking will start at 21.50

MULTI-SEQUENCE COOKING

Some preparations may require a sequence of different cookings: as example you may need to defrost and then cook, or to cook with microwaves and then finish with grill.
A feature of this oven is useful to answer this need: the multi-sequence cooking.
Example: Defrost with microwaves 40% for 6 minutes (in this case you cannot use the “defrost” function directly), and then cook with microwaves 80% for 10 minutes and then finish with grill for 3 minutes.
– Press button POWER (8), until on display appears P40.
– Rotate knob (14) to set cooking time, 6 minutes in this case.
– Press button POWER (8), until on display appears P80.
– Rotate knob (14) to set cooking time, 10 minutes in this case.
– Press button GRILL/COMBI (9), until on display appears “G”.
– Rotate knob (14) to set cooking time, 3 minutes in this case.
– Press button START (13), to start cooking. The oven will make the 3 cookings in sequence.

SAFETY LOCK

Safety lock function disable all the buttons of the control panel avoiding children accidentally activate the oven. Activate safety lock, by pressing PAUSE/CANCEL button (12) for at least 3 seconds. The display will show “OFF”. To unlock, simply press and hold PAUSE/CANCEL button (12) again.

CLEANING

Unplug the unit and allowing the complete cooling down of every part of the oven before starting any cleaning procedure.
– Do not place the oven in water, do not spray water or other liquids. Do not use wet sponge to clean the outer surface or the cooking compartment. Be careful not to spill any water inside the ventilation openings or inside the cooking chamber.
– Clean the cooking compartment and the outer surface with a damp sponge (or cloth), pay attention not to spray any cleaner directly on the oven, applying it on the sponge.
– Glass plate and higher grill can be washed as every-day crockery with non abrasive sponge and mild detergent, they are not dishwasher safe. Dry them thoroughly before putting them back in the oven. If some steam appears inside the cooking compartments, open the door to get it out and wipe the walls with a soft dry cloth.
Cleaning is very important, since it preserves the efficiency and life of the unit. It is recommended to clean the oven often, taking much care of the inside cooking compartment.

MICROWAVE RECIPES HANDBOOK

PASTA & RICE
Conchiglie Porcini Mushrooms
Ingredients 400g Conchiglie pasta, 400g Fresh Porcini mushrooms, 1 Onion (small), 100g Stracchino cheese, 2 pieces Garlic, 1 tbsp of Parsley (minced), Olive oil, Salt and pepper.
Preparation Grease a pan suitable for the microwave oven and arrange crushed garlic and chopped onion inside. Brown for 3 minutes at maximum power. Meanwhile, clean, wash, dry and slice the mushrooms, pour them in the pan after removing the garlic. Flavored with minced parsley and cook for 3 minutes at maximumpower. Once cooked, season with salt and pepper and let stand for a few minutes. Boil water, add salt and let cook pasta “al dente”. Drain and pour pasta into the pan mixing well with a wooden spoon. Add stracchino cheese and some olive oil.
Ingredients for 4 People Difficulty: Easy

Risotto with Mozzarella cheese and Ham
Ingredients 300g Rice, 70g Ham, 1 mozzarella cheese, Tomato sauce, Oregano, Butter, Olive oil.
Preparation Slice mozzarella into thin slices. Cut ham into thin strips and spread with butter a round container with low sides. Place half of the rice in the bowl. Roll out and cover with strips of ham. On this layer, pour the rest of the risotto and settle mozzarella over it. Sprinkle with tomato sauce, plenty of oregano and olive oil. Cook at maximum power for 2 minutes then lower the power at half for another 2 minutes. Wait for 2 minutes before serving.

Farfalle al cartoccio
Ingredients 160g Farfalle pasta, 3 tbsp Tomato sauce, 6 Olives, 2 Anchovies in oil, 60g Tuna in oil, 60g
Taleggio cheese, Olive oil, Basil, Salt and pepper.
Preparation Put tomato sauce with chopped anchovies in a bowl. Slice the olives. Flaked tuna. Chopped 4 basil leaves. Add the whole mixture to the tomato and anchovies. Season with salt and pepper. Slice Taleggio cheese. Boil Farfalle until “al dente”. Drain. Add them to the ingredients in the bowl. Prepare two sheets ofbaking paper. Separate Farfalle in 2 parts. Place Farfalle in season over the sheets. Wrap the paper so as to form two cones. Place them in the oven. Cook for 2 minutes (max power).

Zucchini Risotto
Ingredients 10g Butter, 1 tbsp Olive oil, 180g Rice, Salt, 40g Parmesan cheese (grated), 3 zucchini, 1 onion, Broth, Minced parsley.
Preparation In a suitable container for microwave oven, put chopped onion, olive oil and julienne of zucchini. Cover and cook at 750 watts for 3 minutes. Add rice, broth and salt, cook for about 12 minutes, turning at least twice during cooking. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and butter, sprinkle with minced parsley and serve.

MAIN COURSE (MEAT and FISH)

Filet with Mushrooms
Ingredients Pork filet 500g, Champignon mushrooms 100g, 1 shallot, Butter, 1tsp of Mustard powder, Thyme, Cream, Parsley, ½ glass of white wine, 1tsp Corn flour, Salt and Pepper. Preparation Put the pork on a chopping board, wipe with mustard powder, then with finely choppedparsley and thyme. Then place it in a well-buttered container and cook uncovered for 12 minutes at 600 w.
During cooking, stir a couple of times the meat and select the grill combined with maximum power. Place the meat in a plate and cover with aluminum foil. Peel and slice the mushrooms. Chop shallot and dissolve the corn flour in half a glass of wine. Pour the mixture of wine and flour in the container where you will use to cook meat, with a spoon scrape the gravy left, add a tablespoon of cream, mushrooms, shallots and a little of thyme and parsley. Add salt and pepper, stir and cook for 6 minutes at 600 w. Put the meat in the bowl mixing it with the sauce, so that it remains completely covered and cook for another 4 minutes at 600 w. During cooking, stir a couple of times. Let the meat rest for at least 5 minutes before serving

Red snapper with vegetables
Ingredients 1 red snapper, 400g Tomatoes, 2 Sweet Peppers, 1 Onion, 10 Leaves of Basil, Oregano, Olive oil, Pepper, Salt.
Preparation Clean and wash the fish. Wash the tomatoes and remove the seeds and cut peppers into strips. Slice the onion and put it with five tablespoons of oil in a microwave-safe container that can hold even the fish with the vegetables. Cook on full power for 2 minutes and stir. Make two  parallel not- too-deep cuts in both sides of the fish. Put a pinch of salt and pepper and put it in the bowl with the onion, turning it well. Put peppers and tomatoes around and sprinkle with oregano and basil leaves. Cover with a lid and bake for 8 minutes at full power. Stir the vegetables and the fish and cook for 15 minutes. Stand for 10 minutes off the oven and then serve.

Sole fish with Paprika
Ingredients 4 Soles, 100g Butter, 1 Lemon, Paprika, Sweet mustard, Salt.
Preparation Clean the soles removing the heads, wash and dry them well. Grate the lemon peel and mix with lemon juice, a tablespoon of mustard and a pinch of paprika in a large plate. Place the soles in the sauce to flavor them. Grease a microwave-safe container of butter and put the soles already drained with a pinch of paprika, salt and butter. Cover and bake for 8 minutes. Halfway through cooking, turn the soles. Turn off the oven and let stand for 5 minutes before serving

Zucchini omelette
Ingredients 2 Zucchini, 4 Eggs, ½ Glass of Milk, 2 tbsp Flour, 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese, Salt and Pepper.
Preparation Take two raw zucchini and chop them fine, beat four eggs in a bowl and add some milk (half a small glass, no more) and two tablespoons of flour. Add Pecorino or Parmesan cheese (to give flavor) and the previously chopped zucchini. The mixture should be fluffy. Put in the microwave at full power for 5 minutes.
Let rest for a few minutes and then cook again for 5 minutes.

DESSERTS
Chocolate Cake
Ingredients 2 Eggs, 50g Butter, 130g of Flour, 170g Sugar, 1L of Water, 20g Unsweetened Cocoa Powder, Almonds without shells, 2 tbsp of Marmalade, Icing Sugar, 1 tsp Yeast, Vanillin.
Preparation Whip the eggs with the sugar. Add butter and pour water. Mix with cocoa, flour, and vanillin.
Mix the ingredients well. Line a pan, suitable for the microwave oven, with baking paper. Put inside the mixture. Cook for 6 minutes approximately at maximum power. Sprinkle with icing sugar. Garnish with drops of jam and chopped almonds.
Ingredients for 4 People Difficulty: Easy

Apple Muffins
Ingredients 2 Apples, 215g of Flour, ½ Glass of Milk, Yeast powder, 50g Sugar, 1 Lemon, 1 tbsp Icing Sugar, 1 Egg, 50g of Butter, 50g Raisins, Fresh Lard, Salt.
Preparation Washed and softened the raisins in warm water, drain and dry them. Wash and peel the apples and remove the cores, grate and collect the mixture into a bowl, add raisins, grated lemon peel, sugar, salt and butter into small pieces. Stir and add the egg and flour, to which you have mixed slowly the half of the yeast through a sieve. Grease a bowl suitable for the microwave with melted lard and put 8 tablespoons of the mixture trying to form 8 mounds. Bake the muffins at full power for 5 minutes. Turn off the oven and let them rest inside for 2 minutes.
Place the muffins on a plate covering them with icing sugar. You can replace the lard with butter.
