CLEANING – Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and allow the unit to cool down before cleaning. Do not wash parts of the appliance in the dishwasher. The machine must be cleaned regularly and daily, to keep it efficient and to extend the life of the appliance

TANK AND HOUSING

Clean the fixed parts of housing (6) with a soft damp cloth. Do not immerse the main body in water. In any case, avoid splashing water or other liquids from reaching those parts. Periodically clean the tank (2) and the lid (1) with a soft sponge and dish detergent. Rinse and dry well before reassembling them.

GRID AND DRIP COLLECTING CONTAINER

Remember to empty the container (16) at least once a week. There is also a floater (14): if the floater comes 20 out of the grid (15), the tray is too full and must be emptied.

Periodically clean the grid (15) and the drip tray (16):

  • Disassemble these parts and empty the container (16).
  • Wash with a soft sponge and dish detergent. Rinse and dry well before reassembling them

FILTERS (18 – 19 – 20)

With use, the filter holes could become clogged. Visually check that they are free. If they are clogged, put the filter in the filter holder and assemble the machine without adding the coffee. Press the 2-cup button (10) to dissolve impurities and coffee residues.
If you notice formation of limescale, immerse the filters in a solution of water and vinegar and leave to act for 6 hours. Afterward, wash the filters with dish detergent, rinse and dry.

SEAT FOR LINKING THE FILTER HOLDER (13)

WARNING : after use, do not leave the filter holder (21) inserted in its seat (13) in order to not damage the gasket present in the filter holder seat.

  • Clean the internal steam tube with a damp cloth.
  • Periodically clean the tube (5) and handle (4) with a soft sponge and dish detergent. Rinse and dry well before reassembling them

DECALCIFICATION

Cleaning the coffee machine is necessary to make it work efficiently. Despite this, depending on the water used and especially if you use hard and calcareous water, it is possible that limescale deposits and impurities may form, compromising the functionality of the appliance.
In this case it is necessary to descale the internal circuits. To do this, use a specific descaling product for coffee machines, easily available in specialized shops and service centers.

CAUTION : the manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damage to the machine caused by the use of non-compliant products.

The coffee maker needs decalcification when the 3 lights of the display are all lighted steadily:

  1. Put a filter in the filter holder and mount it to the docking place without adding the coffee.
  2. Fill the container by mixing water and descaler, in the doses indicated in the descaler pack. Fill up to the MAX level and place a container under the steam dispenser (5).
  3. Press steam button (11 –  ) for 5 seconds.
  4. Bring the steam knob (3) in position and press again the steam button (11 – ).
  5. Water comes out from the steam dispenser (5).
  6. After 2 minutes, bring the steam knob (3) in position OFF, and place the container under the coffee spouts (22). Wait for the machine to finish the descaling operation. At this point it is necessary to rinse the internal circuits to eliminate eventual residues of descaler:
  7. Remove the tank (2) and wash it with a soft sponge and dish detergent.
  8. Fill the tank with fresh water and put it back on the coffee machine.
  9. Place a 250ml container on the grid (15) and press (10 – ).
  10. Empty the container and place it under the steam erogator.

Turn the knob (3) and let the hot water flow out for 30 seconds. Empty the container.

The machine is now ready to prepare coffee again.
