PRIOR TO FIRST USE
Follow these instructions when using the handmixer for the first time:
Carefully unpack the handmixer and accessories and remove all packaging
material and any promotional stickers. Keep the packaging (plastic bags and
cardboard) out of reach of children. After unpacking the appliance, carefully
check it for external damage that may have occurred during transport.
Clean all accessories with warm water and a mild detergent and then wipe them
dry thoroughly.
The outside of the handmixer may be wiped with a lightly moist cloth.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents. These could affect the material.
Always fully unwind the cord. Ensure that all of the components are properly
dry before you start using the appliance.
USING THE STANDING MIXER
Careful: never touch the whisks or dough hooks when the appliance is working.
- Take the handmixer and place the two whisks or dough hooks, as required. Make sure they are properly attached.
- The whisks are used to mix liquid products; the dough hooks are used to knead dough mixes.
NOTE: the left and right whisks and dough hooks are different and have their own insertion openings. See the figure below.
- Press the release button on the mixing bowl holder to release the motor head. Tilt the motor head. Place the mixing bowl on the rotary platform of the mixing bowl holder. Place the motor head back in position. The motor head is placed correctly when it clicks tight. See the figure below.
-
Check that the speed controller is in the lowest position [ 0 ].
-
Place the two protrusions on the bottom of the handmixer in the two openings in the mixing bowl holder and lock both parts by pushing the handmixer to the rear with some force. Then push down the rear. Once you hear a click sound, the third connection is fully locked. See the figure below.
-
Insert the plug in the socket.
-
Place the mixture in the mixing bowl.
-
Use your thumb to set the speed controller to the required position [1-5]. Maximum speed is achieved by pressing down the turbo switch. In 0 position, the turbo switch has no effect. Once you let go of the turbo switch, the handmixer returns to the selected speed.
-
When you are finished with the handmixer, switch the speed controller back to [ 0 ] and remove the plug from the socket.
-
Do not use the appliance for more than 5 minutes consecutively and allow it to cool down at least 10 minutes between two mixing rounds.
-
For the best result when mixing yeast dough, set the speed controller at a lower speed at first and then gradually increase speed.
-
You can only achieve an even effect when the mixing bowl moves.
-
Press the release button at the rear of the handmixer support and lift the handmixer, so that you can remove it from the support. See the figure below.
- Firmly hold the whisks or dough hooks and firmly press the eject button to eject them. The whisks or dough hooks can only be removed by pressing the eject button while the speed controller is at the 0 position. See the figure below.
- If necessary, you can use a rubber or wooden spatula to scrape food residues off the whisks or dough hooks.
TIPS
- Remove frozen and hard products such as butter and eggs from the refrigerator and allow them to reach room temperature before processing them.
- To prevent bad smelling eggs or eggshells in your mixture, we recommend breaking the eggs in a cup first and only then adding them to the mixture.
- Do not mix for too long and observe the times stated in the recipe.
- Knives, forks and metal spoons damage the whisks and dough hooks.
- Always first mix at low speed and then gradually increase to the speed stated in the recipe.
- Climate, season, ambient temperature and product temperature affect the mixing time and mixing result.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Always remove the plug from the socket when you leave the appliance unsupervised and before you assemble, disassemble or clean the appliance. Always eject the whisks and dough hooks from the handmixer before cleaning them.
- The outside of the handmixer can be wiped with a lightly moist cloth.
- Wipe any food residues off the power cord.
- Do not use aggressive cleaning agents. These could affect the materials.
- The whisks and dough hooks can be washed up by hand, but may also be cleaned in the dishwasher.
Warning: only the whisks and dough hooks can be cleaned in the dishwasher
or submerged in water or other liquids.
Never place any other parts of the appliance in the dishwasher and never
submerge them in liquid.
- When storing the mixer, make sure it is fully dry before placing it in its packaging.
