PRIOR TO FIRST USE
Before using the multigrill for the first time, please proceed as follows: carefully unpack the appliance and remove all packaging material and any promotional stickers. Keep the packaging (plastic bags and cardboard) out of reach of children. After unpacking the appliance, carefully check it for external damage that may have occurred during transport. Fully read the instruction manual and store it for future reference. Place the multigrill on a flat, stable surface. Clean the exterior of the multigrill using a slightly damp cloth and then wipe it with a dry cloth. Clean the plates with a soft sponge and hot water containing a mild washing-up liquid. Tip: the plates may also be cleaned in the dishwasher. For the best result, lightly cover the grill plates with some cooking oil. Place the multigrill on a flat, heat resistant surface. Fully unwind the cord and insert the plug in the wall socket. When used for the first time, a little smoke could come off the multigrill. This is normal and is caused by burning greases and oils that were used during the manufacture of the appliance.
GENERAL USE
The multigrill is suitable for making waffles and toasted sandwiches and for grilling food.
CHANGING THE PLATES
- Press the release buttons to release the plates from the appliance.
- Select the plates that you wish to use and place them in the multigrill.
- Check that the plates are pressed tight firmly.
GRILLING
Place the multigrill on a flat, heat resistant surface. Select the plates that
you wish to use and place them in the multigrill. Fully unwind the cord and
insert the plug in the wall socket. Both indicator leds light up. Allow the
appliance to heat up while preparing the food. Heating up the multigrill takes
approximately four minutes. The multigrill is provided with a thermostat that
controls the temperature of the appliance. When the multigrill is at the
correct temperature, the green indicator led switches off. The multigrill is
now ready for use.
Caution: do not touch the metal parts and grill plates, as these get very hot. Open the multigrill and place the food, sandwich, meat or other product to be prepared on the bottom plate. Close the multigrill and close the locking mechanism. Grilling takes approximately three to eight minutes, depending on the type of food and your personal taste. Remove the food with a wooden or plastic spatula, in order to protect the non-stick coating. Do not use metal or sharp objects.
Warning: fillings of toasted sandwiches get very hot. So do be careful,
particularly in the case of children.
After use, always remove the plug from the socket.
