Disposable overalls
Intended use
These disposable overalls are designed to protect wearers against minimal
risks as defined in Category I of the PPE regulation.
Complies with the (EU) 2016/425 PPE Regulation
WARNING! Wear the disposable overalls only when undertaking activities
that are consistent with the risks defined in the Category I list. These are
disposable overalls that are designed for single use only.
Fine particle mask class FFP1
Disposable respirator masks are classified in categories FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3.
Before reading the following information, please verify the category to which
the respirator mask belongs – you will find the appropriate category printed
on the packaging and the mask. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure
that the respirator mask is in the safety category that ensures it provides
sufficient protection against the type and concentration of contamination in
the area in which it is to be employed.
Intended use
The particle-filtering half mask is a self-contained respiratory protective
device that is made in whole or part of filter materials. Particle-filtering
half masks are exclusively used for respiratory protection against volatile
solid or liquid particles (dust, smoke, aerosols, aerosol vapours). Not
reusable: for single use only
Device category| Protects against following multiple of
pollutant levels of the OELs*| Effects
---|---|---
Particle-filtering half mask FFP1| 4| Protects against particles with a max.
size of 0.6 pm of non-toxic and non-fibrogenic pollutants.
Particle-filtering half mask FFP2| 10| Protects against particles with a max.
size of 0.6 pm and captures at least 95% of harmful dusts, vapours and smoke;
filters solid and liquid particles.
Particle-filtering half mask FFP3| 30| Protects against particles with a max.
size of 0.6 pm and captures at least 99% of toxic substances and protects
against droplet aerosols, carcinogenic sub- stances, radioactive substances,
enzymes, microorga- nisms (viruses, bacteria, fungi and their spores).
*) The occupational exposure limit values (OELs) include those specified in the German Technical Rules for Hazardous Substances (TRGS 900); – MAK and TRK (MAK = maximum workplace concentration; TRK = technical guidance concentration).
Instructions for use:
-
WARNING! Don the respirator mask and ensure that it is airtight as described in these instructions before you enter the contaminated area.
-
Use the respirator mask in accordance with the health and safety regulations
-
Dispose of the respirator mask and use a new one
– If the respirator mask is removed in a contaminated area
– If the respirator mask is befouled to that extent that you have trouble breathing and/or it is uncomfortable to wear
– If the respirator mask is damaged (in the case of respirator masks designed to protect against vapours, the mask will be damaged if the vapour odour becomes apparent). -
Leave the contaminated area if you become dizzy, nauseous or experience any other form of discomfort.
-
Designed for single use only, hence no maintenance required. Do not retain after use and/or reuse.
-
WARNING! VDestroy the respirator mask after single use (after use during one work procedure).
-
Prior to use, store the respirator mask in a closed container and store this in a dry, non-contaminated place at a temperature in the range 5 – 55°C.
Instructions for donning the mask:
- Hold the respirator mask in your hand so that the straps hang down freely.
- Position the mask below the chin so that the nose bridge is pointing outward.
- Take the rubber strap and draw it over your head so that it sits on the back of your neck below your ears.
- Holding the mask on your face with one hand, draw the upper rubber strap over your head so that it is positioned above your ears.
- For respirator masks with adjustable rubber straps only: While positioning the mask on your face,
- adjust the tension of the straps by drawing each strap through the appropriate tab (tension can be reduced by feeding straps back through the tabs).
- To ensure the mask is closely fitted to your facial contours, press with the tips of the fingers on both hands on the metal reinforcements on either side of the bridge of your nose to ensure a tight fit around your nostrils.
IMPORTANT! ! If you are wearing a mask without adjustable straps and
notice that the mask is fitting too loosely, increase the tension by tying a
knot in the appropriate strap.
WARNING! The effectiveness of the mask may be impaired if the wearer has
a beard or stubble.
Restrictions on use:
WARNING! Do not use the respirator mask or do not remain in the
contaminated area if:
- The oxygen level falls below 19.5%
- The nature of the pollutant(s) or their concentration(s) are not known or are at life-threatening levels
- The specific concentrations specified in the health and safety regulations are exceeded or the concentration exceeds that of a specific protective factor x OEL. The lower factor applies in each case. Nominal protective factors (NPF): 4.5 in the case of FFP1, 12.5 in the case of FFP2 and 50 in the case of FFP3
- Where gases or vapours are present, respirator masks designed to protect against gases/vapours must be used; in such cases, the concentration of the gas/vapour may not exceed the NPF.
- Respirator masks designed to protect against organic vapours may not be used to protect against acidic vapours and vice versa.
WARNING!
Not suitable for use as protection during firefighting measures. These
respirator masks do not provide an oxygen supply.
Not suitable for use in areas with low oxygen levels (e.g. in tanks or other
poorly ventilated environments; see also Restrictions on use above).
Not suitable for use in explosive atmospheres.
To be used only by appropriately trained and qualified personnel.

Protection level (0 = worst / 4 and 5 = best)
CAUTION
- Do not use for protection against chemicals or microorganisms.
- Do not use for protection in hazardous applications involving moving machine components.
- Do not use at temperatures below -30 °C.
- Do not use for objects hotter than +50 °C.
- EN ISO 21420:2020
Protection level:
- For minimum hazards
- Weak impacts and vibrations that do not affect vital areas of the body, and whose influence does not cause irreparable damage
- Hot parts, whose temperature does not exceed 50 °
- Normal weather effects
Testing
Inspect the gloves for tears and holes every time before use. Damaged gloves
must be replaced. Only properly fitting gloves provide optimum protection and
grip.
Cleaning
After every use, and depending on the degree of contamination, knock or brush
the gloves clean, or wipe them with a damp cloth. Allow to dry in a well-
ventilated place.
Storage
Store in a dry and well-ventilated place at normal room temperature. Avoid
exposure to direct sunlight and heat radiation.
Durability
Durability depends on the amount of wear and the intensity of use in the
respective application conditions. Therefore, a specifi c period of use cannot
be defi ned.
Disposal
In domestic refuse – observe local regulations.
