CONNEX COXT938701 Capsule Ear Defenders

Hearing protection

Article/Model:
COXT938701, -702, -7021, -706, -707 and -7071 are capsule ear defenders with height-adjustable capsules and replaceable ear pads (TPE), foam inlays and capsule holder (stainless steel or plastic POM/PP + GF)

Using the device:
These products have been developed to reduce the damage caused by loud surrounding noise.

Recommendations:

It is advisable for users to ensure that the ear defenders sit correctly, are appropriately adjusted and are maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Always wear these ear defenders when present in a noisy environment and ensure that the need for repair/upkeep is assessed at regular intervals.

IMPORTANT:
Non-compliance with these recommendations can result in serious impairment of the protective effect of these headset ear defenders.

Assembly/adjustment/adaptation:

  1. CONNEX ear defenders are designed to be worn on the head.

  2. Gently bend apart the two earpieces and place the headset on your head.

  3. Position the earpieces over your ears and pull on the earpieces to arrange them in place.
Ensure that the seals of the earpieces cover your ears completely and sit tightly.

  4. The headpiece should sit loosely on the top of your head.

WARNING:

These capsule ear defenders are suitable for medium and large head sizes.
Capsule ear defenders that conform to EN 352-1 have one of the following sizes: M (Medium), S (Small) or L (Large).
The size M is suitable for a large proportion of the users.
The sizes S and L are intended to be used by those users for whom size M is not appropriate.
The capsule ear defenders, especially the cushions, can degrade as a result of use. This being so, they should regularly be examined for things such as cracks and leaks.
Placing things such as hygiene covers over the cushions can impair the acoustic protection that the ear defenders offer.

Cleaning:

This product can be damaged by contact with certain chemical substances. Contact the manufacturer for more information.
Do not clean using chemical agents. The ear defenders can be cleaned using a cloth moistened in a warm soap solution.
Allow to dry before reuse. Do not use brushes with stiff bristles or other materials that might damage the padding or insulation sections. Do not immerse the ear defenders in water. Use cleaning agents that are not likely to harm subsequent users.

Maintenance:

These ear defenders and particularly the pads can become worn by repeated use and should thus be regularly inspected for the presence of splits and ruptures. Replace the pads as necessary or after six months at the latest. Remove the old pads from the earpieces and carefully insert the new ones in place, ensuring they are correctly positioned. Subsequently press them firmly in place. Replace the insulation sections as necessary.
