User guide
Turn on your Altos
Press and hold the button until all display segments turn on and blink once. After that, the display starts indicating the current Brain Fuel level.
Trouble turning on?
If your Altos doesn’t turn on, make sure it is charged: connect it to the power outlet by the USB Type-C cable and retry (see Charge Altos for details).
Using Altos
Altos’ display shows how much Brain Fuel* is in the air around you. The fewer of nine display segments are on, the less Brain Fuel is in the air.

  • Brain Fuel index shows how much helpful for your productivity air is in your environment. Brain Fuel level changes in the reverse proportion to the CO2 concentration: as CO2 rises, the Brain Fuel index falls.

When all nine segments are lit, you’re all set to get your work done the air composition is ideal for intellectual work. If the display shows only one segment, the CO2 concentration in the air around you is critically high.
To get precise info about how the air helps your productivity, provide that nothing obstructs the air inlet to the Altos air intake.
Here’s a correlation of Brain Fuel index and CO2 concentration level:

Connect to the app
To track how the Brain Fuel index has been changing over time and get notified of changes in air composition, get the Altos app and connect it to your Altos.
You will need an Internet connection to install the Altos app and Bluetooth to connect your Altos with your mobile device.
Install the Altos app on your mobile device. Search for Altos in Google Play or App Store or scan the QR code.
Open the app and follow its guidance to connect your Altos.
Trouble pairing?
If Altos doesn’t pair with your phone or tablet:
make sure the Bluetooth is enabled for the Altos app, hold the Altos button for three seconds and try pairing one more time, try restarting Altos.
Enable push notifications
Push notifications warn you when the air around you lacks Brain Fuel and give a timely prompt to let some air in. When the air composition goes back to normal, you will also be notified on your phone.
To get notified of significant changes in air composition, give the Altos app permission to send you push notifications. Once you pair your Altos and the phone, you will be prompted to enable notifications and location services.

If you skip these steps on Altos set up, you can change notifications and location services preferences later in the app settings. Access to location services is granted only for the purpose of using Bluetooth. Altos does not collect or use any location data.
Not getting notifications?
If you are not getting push notifications, check whether the Altos app has permission to send notifications and Altos is connected to your phone.
Charge Altos
Battery charge level is indicated on the display’s segment with the battery icon printed. The blinking icon indicates the Altos charge level is less than 10%, and it should be charged. You can check the precise Altos charge level in the app settings. To charge Altos:
1. Plug the USB Type-C cable into the connector. 2. Connect the cable to a power source. 3. Leave Altos charging for 2-3 hours to get it fully charged. Trouble charging?
If Altos is not charging when connected to the power source, try to change the USB Type-C cable or a power outlet.
Unpair Altos of your phone or tablet
To unpair Altos, go to the app settings and tap Unpair device. Then, press and hold the button on your Altos for three seconds that will remove your phone from Altos’ known devices.
Turn your Altos off

To switch Altos off, press and hold the button until the display turns off.

Usage recommendations
On a single battery charge, Altos works for approximately six months. Charge Altos timely to stay informed of the air composition changes.
Recommended operating temperature range is 0…50. At lower temperatures, the device’s sensors might perform incorrectly. It might take some time to get back to normal work if the device stays in the cold for a while and then is brought to a warm place.
To ensure a stable Bluetooth connection, the distance between your phone and your Altos should be less than 10 meters.
