Attaching the Battery

Turning the Radio On and Off
Rotate the On/Off/Volume knob clockwise or counterclockwise until a click sounds.

LED Indicators

  • Blinking Red
    Radio has failed the self-test upon powering up, goes out of range if the Auto-Range Transponder System is configured, is receiving an emergency transmission, or is transmitting at a low battery level.

  • Solid Green
    The radio is powering up, transmitting, or indicating full battery capacity when the programmed Battery Strength button is pressed.

  • Blinking Green
    Radio is receiving a call or data, or detecting activity over the air.

  • Solid Yellow
    The radio monitors a conventional channel or indicates fair battery capacity when the programmed Battery Strength button is pressed.

  • Blinking Yellow
    The radio is scanning for an activity or has yet to respond to a Call Alert.

  • Double Blinking Yellow
    The radio is locked or has yet to respond to a Group Call Alert.
