Introduction
To get the most out of your new gas lantern, please read through these instructions before use. Please also save the instructions in case you need to refer to them at a later date.

The appliance can be used with all types of 200 gas cartridges marked
“Butane”that comply with EN 417.
May only be used in well ventilated areas.
Special safety instructions
The lantern must only be used outdoors and in well-ventilated areas!
The lantern must not be exposed to precipitation and must be protected from the elements during use and storage.
The lantern must be placed on a firm, level surface before being lit.
This surface must be non-flammable, e.g. flagstones, paving stones or packed earth. There must be no combustible objects such as grass, plants or rubbish under or near the lantern.
Keep the lantern at a safe distance from combustible materials during use.
NOTE! Keep children at a safe distance from the lantern. Do not move the lantern whilst it is lit or hot. Never use the lantern indoors.
WARNING! Keep children and pets at a safe distance from the lantern.
The gas canister must be changed outside at a safe distance from naked flames and other sources of ignition.
If you discover a leak, turn off the gas supply immediately and avoid naked flames and other sources of ignition. Wait a few minutes until the area has aired.
Use

Put the decorative stones and metal mesh in position.

Unscrew the thread located at the bottom of the lantern.

Insert the gas canister into the thread. Press the canister up against the metal pin to pierce the canister and open the gas supply.

Then screw the gas canister securely into the lantern.

Turn the knob and light the lantern with a lighter.

Turn the knob in the opposite direction to shut off the gas supply and extinguish the flame.
NB: Always leave the gas canister in the lantern and only remove it when replacing it.
Warning: If the burner cannot be lit, turn off the regulator. Wait five minutes before you try to light it again by following the ignition procedure.
NB: If the gas canister is screwed on too hard, you can use pliers to release it again. It is important not to screw it on using a tool, but only by hand.
Storage
The lantern may only be stored indoors if the gas canister has been removed from the lantern. Store the lantern in a dry location sheltered from the wind and rain.

The lantern should be stored out of the reach of children in a dry, dust-free
and well-ventilated location.
The burner and the area around it will get very hot during use. Avoid
touching these parts and allow them to cool fully before transporting or
storing the lantern.
