eurowise Q7 Rock Slider Performance Installation Guide
VAG OFFROAD Rock slider install (Cayenne / touareg / Q7)
This installation is a guide to help install your rock sliders on gen 1 (
2002-2010 ). Photo comparisons may vary as this installation guide is on a
2010 cayenne / touareg
NON Air suspension setup
The hardware kit is assembled is built for multiple applications so you may
have leftover hardware. Nothing to be alarmed about

remove left and right lower plastic under these are held on with torx screws. You will no longer need the hardware or covers.

with the covers removed you will see all the body plugs that will need to be removed in order to install the rock They are just snapped in so you can pop out by hand or with a flat head. there is 6 total, the other 2 arrows point to the mounting points that are already threaded in the body, and the other 2 smaller blind holes are for the smaller locking hardware.
So 12 mounting points total
- This is what the mounting hardware looks The larger bolt of the two go vertical in the side of the body ( QTY 3 per side ) and the last two go inside the lower frame rail parallel with the car. They will have plastic holding sleeves threaded onto them. dont remove these. they will make your life easier when it comes to installing them. We have paper in these photos but you will have plastic in place. slip the large end into the blind hole and then feed the opposite end in so the bolt now is flush.
When installing the rock sliders the bolt sandwiches between the rock slider on the frame for a secure mounting finish.
Heres the steps for the mounting hardware in order. Make sure to leave plastic
washer on! ( NOT SHOWN HERE )
The next photos below show how the Special L bolts we included are installed
in the frame rails. ( photos may not reflect your car.
Next with the hand of a friend install the rock slider into One person guiding
the holes to line up with the hardware you have installed. With the rock
slider lined up and thread of the hardware sticking into the rock slider
install the supplied nuts and washers onto the rock slider. At this point just
install everything hand tight because you can make adjustments later and then
torque them down.
( photos below do not show the bars welded to the bracket for ease of
installation photos )
- next you can now push up on the entire assembly so the rock sliders are flush with the bottom of the now torque all the bolts to about 50ft lbs. ( Very hand tight ) no impact guns.
- Now tighten the last 2 bolts that go into the frame where its been pre-threaded from the
Location for the custom hardware inserts on the body and frame rails.
Guys with Air suspension follow these steps on the front brackets on both
sides.
Remove 13MM bolt on the factory frame and install longer supplied bolt on both
sides. The air suspension rock sliders front mounting bracket is the only
difference between setups.
T3 Touareg / Cayenne 2011+
These tabs need to be bend up to slide the sliders back into proper position on each side. The tab is located in the middle of the rocker area.
