Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Access Wiring
- Remove the access panel on the hatch to access the wiring. Locate the OEM camera wire trigger and ground wire.
Step 2: Connect Camera Harness
- Tap into the OEM camera wire trigger and ground wire using a wiretap. Use the existing ground for the camera harness.
Step 3: Connect Power
- Locate the 4-pin connector for the OEM camera and tap into the red wire with a yellow tracer for power on the camera harness using a wiretap.
Step 4: Install Adapter Harness
- Unplug the OEM camera and plug in the new adapter harness into the original camera plug. Connect the other side of the harness to the yellow RCA plug.
Step 5: Route Harness
- Route the harness into the vehicle from the hatch area. Secure the harness in place by winding it around the OEM harness.
Step 6: Exterior Installation
- Feed the wire through the opening in the hatch and then through the rubber sleeve into the vehicle. Route the wire down the passenger side behind plastic panels and feed it through a grommet at the bottom to the exterior of the vehicle.
Step 7: Mounting Camera
- Mount the camera using a tie strap or your preferred method for a quick solution.

Camera Installation

installing the rear camera requires basic hand tools and wiring. The camera can be mounted anywhere by preference and viewing angle. we have mounted on a lower hitch as a quick solution but if you plan to off-road your vehicle then you should mount using the license plate bracket mount included. Remove the access panel on the hatch to access the wiring. you will tap into the OEM camera wire trigger and ground wire here.

With the panel exposed you will use this existing ground for the camera harness.

Locating the 4-pin connector for the OEM camera you will tap into the red wire with a yellow tracer for the power on the camera harness using a wiretap.

You will unplug the OEM camera and plug in the new adapter harness into the Original camera plug. The other side of the harness will go into the yellow RCA plug seen here.

From there you will need to route the harness into the vehicle from the hatch area. We wound the harness around the OEM harness to keep it held in place and not move.

Then feed the wire through the opening in the hatch with the rest of the harness.

Then pull the wire through the opposite end and you will now feed it through the rubber sleeve that goes into the vehicle.

You will feed the wire down the passenger side behind the plastic panels and behind this panel, you will then feed it through a grommet at the bottom to the exterior of the vehicle.
