Front Air Strut Removal / Coil Spring Removal:
- Set the steering to straight ahead.
- Raise the vehicle.
- Remove the front wheels.
- Remove air line fitting from the air valve.
- Remove the lower shock-mounting bolt.
- Remove the upper ball joint from the spindle assembly.
- Remove the sway bar end link to shock mounting nut and bolt.
- Remove and disconnect the shock damper sensor wire.
- Disconnect the ride height sensor’s electrical plug.
- Lift hood and remove the three mounting bolts that secure the air strut’s upper mount. Remove plastic cover to gain access to the third bolt.
- Remove strut assembly from the vehicle.
New Control Arm Installation:
Air suspension vehicles and vehicles with headlight level arms that attach
to the arms are installed using tube clamp and ball socket and nut provided.
Position clamp in the same orientation as OEM and reattach the sensor arm.

GENERAL INFORMATION

maintenance instructions. Under no circumstances should any work be completed
underneath the vehicle if it is not adequately supported, as serious injuries
and death can occur.
FRONT AIR STRUT REMOVAL / COIL SPRING REMOVAL

Set the steering to straight ahead.

Raise the vehicle.

Remove the front wheels. (FIGURE 10-1)

Remove air line fitting from the air valve. (FIGURE 10-2)

5. Remove the lower shock-mounting bolt. (FIGURES 10-3, 10-4)

Remove the upper ball joint from the spindle assembly. (FIGURES 10-5, 10-6)

Remove the sway bar end link to shock mounting nut and bolt. (FIGURE 10-7)

Disconnect the ride height sensor’s electrical plug. (FIGURE 10-9)

Lift hood and remove the three (3) mounting bolts that secure the air strut’s upper mount. Remove plastic cover to gain access to the third bolt. (FIGURES 10-10, 10-11)

Remove strut assembly from the vehicle. (FIGURE 10-12)
Reuse the OEM bolts to attach the new control arms
