Product Usage Instructions

Assembly

  1. Remove the main screw (16) and the split washer (17) from the support rod (2).
  2. Insert the support rod through the upper cap (4) and the lower cap (6).
  3. Guide the protruding electric cables from the motor body into the support rod (2).
  4. Secure the support rod to the motor body using the provided pin (7), washer (8), and clip (11).
  5. Tighten the locking screw (1) for the support rod.
  6. Insert the decorative glass into its designated slot and fasten it with the provided screws, being careful not to overtighten and risk breaking the glass (fig. 10).

WARNINGS

Attention: read the precautions contained in the following booklet carefully as they provide important instructions regarding safety during installation, use and maintenance. Important instructions to keep for further reference.

  • This appliance may be used by children 8 years of age and older and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or with a lack of experience and knowledge if they are adequately supervised or have been instructed on the safe use of the appliance and are aware of the related dangers.
  • Children must not play with the appliance.
  • Children must not perform cleaning and maintenance unless they are under supervision. Children must not perform cleaning and maintenance operations without supervision.
  • This appliance must be installed by professionally qualified personnel.
  • Since the installation of the equipment sets, the power of the network must be done, according to the installation rules, through flexible cable plug or by all-pole switch that provide full disconnection under overvoltage category III conditions.
  • Contacts opening distance shall not be less than 3 mm.
  • Equipment must be installed at the height of at least 2,3 meters from the floor (2,3 meters means from the floor to the bottom of the fan).

WARNING: when the appliance is connected to the mains, do not touch the rotating blades and stay away from them.

  • Remove the packing and make sure that the appliance is intact. In case of doubt do not use it and address to an after-sales service recommended by the manufacturer. Do not allow packaging materials like bags and staples can be reached by children.
  • Before connecting the appliance, check if the electrical voltage and frequency of the circuit correspond to those indicated on the appliance.
  • The manufacturer is not responsible for any eventual damages caused by improper or faulty use.
  • The unit must be connected to a good ground conductor.
  • Equipment must be installed at the height of at least 2,3 meters from the floor (2,3 meters means from the floor to the bottom of the fan).

  • For the installation of the apparatus used a cable type H05 VVF.

  • If the appliance is out of work, switch it off without tampering it. If any repair is required please contact only our after-sales centres and ask for original spare parts. Otherwise safety of the appliance can be compromised.
  • The use of every electrical appliace calls for the awareness of some basic rules, such us:
    • do not touch the appliance with wet hands or feet
    • never expose the appliance to atmospheric conditions (rain, sun…)
  • Do not use the device in the presence of potentially explosive or flammable liquids or gases.

INSTALLATION

Make sure you have all the components before beginning installation. To prevent damage, attach the motor to the support rod on a soft surface or use the polystyrene contained in the package.

  • Open the carton box and take out the fan (fig. 1)

  • Assemble the support plate on the ceiling using two or more screw anchors and appropriate washers.
    Attention: the provided screw are for wood joist. (fig. 2).

  • Remove the clip (11), the washer (8) and the pin (7) from the support rod (2).

  • Remove the main screw (16) and the grower washer (17) from the support rod (2).

  • Insert the support rod through the upper cap (4) and lower cap (6).

  • Insert the electric cables coming out from the motor through the support rod (2).

  • Fix the support rod to the motor using the pin (7), the washer (8) and the clip (11).

  • Insert the main screw (16) and the grower washer (17) in the threaded hole of the support rod (2). Tighten the screw well using a screwdriver. WARNING! THIS OPERATION IS NECESSARY FOR EARTHING THE MOTOR!

  • Tighten the screw (1) for blocking the support rod.

  • Hang the fan to the hook on the support plate and connect the electrical cables coming from the ceiling to the cables coming from the appliance by using a screw terminal. NB: arrange the electrical connectionas shown in fig. 3

  • Slide upwards the upper cap (fig. 4) and fix it with the screw (fig. 5)

  • Slide downwards the lower cap; it must be supported by the motor. Fix it with the screw (fig. 6).

  • Remove the plastic retainer of the blades fastening screws located in the upper part of the motor body as shown in fig. 7.

  • Center the slots on the blades with the heads of the blades fixing screws and slide the blades so that the head of the screws are positioned at the end of slot (fig. 8)

  • Tighten the screw (fig. 9)

  • Install the light bulb (E27 type Max 60W not provided) in the light holder

  • Install the decorative glass and fix it using the provided screws. Take care to do not tight the screws too much or the decorative glass can get broken (fig. 10).

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

  1. Brown wire: line to motor

  4. Yellow/Green wire: earth connection

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

The ceiling fan is provided with wall speed control. To turn On the ceiling fan it’s enough rotate the knob on wall speed control and select the desired speed:

  • Hi High speed
  • Med Medium speed
  • Low Low speed

To turn the ceiling fan Off rotate the knob in “Off” position. To turn the light On push the switch of the wall control.

Switch for selecting the rotating direction of the blades (15): this switch is used to select the rotating direction of the blades.
WARNING: SET THE ROTATING DIRECTION ONLY WHEN THE BLADES ARE COMPLETELY STOPPED.

MAINTENANCE

  • Before carrying out the regular cleaning operations and before replacing the lamp turn off the fan and disconnect it from the electrical supply.
  • For external cleaning use a soft and dry cloth.
  • DO NOT dip the device in water, or splash it with any other liquids.
  • DO NOT use solvents or any other chemical products for cleaning it.

DISPOSAL

PACKAGING
To respect the environment, the packaging material must be disposed of correctly, respecting separate collection. Check the provisions of your municipality.

USER INFORMATION
“Implementation of Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)”, about reduced use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, as well as to waste disposal. The symbol of the crossed- out wheelie bin on the equipment or on its packaging indicates that the product must be disposed of separately from other waste at the end of its service life. The user must therefore take the dismissed equipment to suitable separate collection centres for electrical and electronic waste. For more details, please contact the appropriate local authority. Suitable segregated collection of the equipment for subsequent recycling, treatment or environmentally friendly disposal helps prevent damage to the environment and to human health, and encourages the re-use and/or recycling of the materials that make up the equipment. Abusive disposal of the product by the user shall result in the application of administrative fines by the laws in force.

WARRANTY

Conditions
The warranty is valid for 24 months from the date of purchase. This warranty is valid only if it is correctly filled in and accompanied by the tax receipt proving the date of purchase. The appliance must be delivered exclusively to our authorised Service Centre. By warranty we mean the replacement or repair of appliance components that are faulty from the start due to manufacturing defects. However, assistance (for a fee) is also guaranteed for products out of warranty. The consumer is the owner of the rights applicable by the national legislation governing the sale of consumer goods; this warranty is without prejudice to those rights. The manufacturer declines all responsibility for any damage to people, animals or things resulting from improper use of the appliance and failure to comply with the instructions indicated in the appropriate instruction booklet.

Limitations
All warranty rights and all our responsibilities expire if the device has been:

  • Tampered with by unauthorised personnel.
  • Used, stored or transported inappropriately.

In any case, loss of performance related to the aesthetics of the product or similar that does not compromise the essence of the functions is excluded from the warranty. If, despite the careful selection of materials and our commitment to making the product you have just purchased, you find any defects, or if you need information, we recommend that you call your local dealer.
