HYDRA DLB-V0001 Zodiac DLB Dynamic Load Balancing
INTRODUCTION
The home load balancer can maintain the dynamic balance of the total household current, to ensure the safety of electricity consumption, and to avoid the overload of household electricity when the charging is charging. A home load balancer consists of a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter needs to be installed at the main incoming line of the household power supply to transmit the sensed current data to the receiver. The receiving end is located inside the household AC chargepoint (the chargepoint needs to be purchased additionally) and receives the data from the transmitting end.

INSTALLATION
This device can only be used indoors or inside a cabinet, not outdoors. When selecting an installation site for the device, consider the environmental conditions listed in the table below. Equipment recommended installation environment table.
Ambient temperature | -20°C~+40°C |
---|---|
Altitude | ≤2000m |
Humidity | 5%~95%RH |
Dust | ≤1mg/m3 |
Corrosive substances | Free from pollutants such as salt, acid, smoke, etc. |
Shock | ≤1.5mm/s |
Damp | Rainproof, protection above IPX4 |
Fire protection | No flammables nearby |
- Install the DIN rail on the wall
- Connect the transformer (CT) and antenna
- Connect the transformer (CT) to the main power line of the household, connect the single phase to the L phase line, and connect the three phases to the L1, L2, and L3 phase
- Please refer to the HYDRA ZODIAC installation manual for installation instructions (download from www.hydraev.co.uk/support)
- Connect the transformer (CT) and antenna

Note: Professionals must confirm the maximum load capacity of the family and set the corresponding value. When the household power supply is a single- phase power supply, only one transformer (CT) is used, and the household load balancer starts to work when the total electricity consumption current of the household needs to exceed 20A. When the current is less than 20A, the home load balancer remains off. When the household power supply is a three-phase power supply, three transformers (CT) are used, and the household load balancer starts to work when the total household power current needs to exceed 10A. When the current is less than 10A, the home load balancer remains off.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Fault state | RECOMMENDED TREATMENT |
---|
The equalizer light is off
| Check whether the front-end charging transformer is good or bad and whether the connection is correct; check whether the input current reaches the minimum current value required for work.
The equalizer light is on, but there is no communication
| Check whether the pairing is successful; check whether the distance between
the transmitter and receiver is too far or there are many obstacles; check
whether the charging pile is powered on; check whether the APP is set
correctly.
Still tripping after using the equalizer| Check whether the maximum current
set on the APP is correct.
Unable to pair
| Check whether the pairing operation is correct; check whether the
transmitter and receiver are in pairing mode; check whether the distance
between the transmitter and receiver is too far or there are many obstacles.
Other problems| Please contact our after-sales service.
