Intended use

The Nedis KAAF320BK is a hot air fryer with two compartments with 4.2 litre capacity each.

This product is intended for indoor use only.

Do not let persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge of how to operate, use the product.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.

This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.

The product is intended for use in household environments for typical housekeeping functions that may also be used by non-expert users for typical housekeeping functions, such as: shops, offices other similar working environments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments and/or in bed and breakfast type environments.

Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning.

This product is designed for private use (normal domestic use) only. Nedis is not responsible for wear, defect and/or damages caused by commercial use of the product.

NOTE: The cooking result of each dish depends on many variables.

The cooking time, temperature, weight and volume of the food influences the result.

NOTE: For presets C 1, 2, 3, 8, halfway through the cooking time an alarm is heard for 10 seconds. The shake indicator B3 lights up. Shake or turn the food for better cooking results.

WARNING

  • Ensure you have fully read and understood the instructions in this document before you install or use the product. Keep the packaging and this document for future reference.
  • This product is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
  • Only use the product as described in this document.
  • Do not use the product if a part is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective product immediately.
  • Do not drop the product and avoid bumping.
  • This product may only be serviced by a qualified technician for maintenance to reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • Do not expose the product to water or moisture.
  • Do not let water enter the product.
  • Disconnect the product from the power source before service and when replacing parts.
  • If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similar qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Do not use an extension cable.
  • The surfaces of the product get hot during use.
  • Keep the product and power cable out of reach of children under 8 years of age.
  • The door or the outer surface may get hot when the product is operating.
  • The heat of the product may cause damage to the surface the product is placed on. Always place the product on a flat, stable and heat resistant surface to prevent damage to the surroundings of the product.
  • Never pour oil into the basket.
  • Do not obstruct or cover the product’s air inlet or outlet grid.
  • Unplug the product from the power source and other equipment if problems occur.
  • Do not plug or unplug the power cable with wet hands.
  • Do not unplug the product by pulling on the cable. Always grasp the plug and pull.
  • Do not let the power cable hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not use a timer or a separate remote-control system that switches on the device automatically.
  • Do not allow this product to come in contact with curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels or other flammable materials during use.
  • Do not use any accessories that are not included.
  • The use of accessories not recommended by the product manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
  • Place the product on a stable, flat and heat resistant surface.
  • Do not leave the product unattended when switched on.
  • Allow the product to cool down before cleaning it.
  • Allow the product to cool down before storage.
  • Do not touch the hot parts of the product directly.

Before first use

1. Remove all packaging from the outside and inside of the product.
2. Clean all parts that come into contact with food with hot water and dish soap after each use.

NOTE: The perforated baking trays A4 are dishwasher safe.

3. Clean the outside of the product with a soft clean, damp cloth.

Do not immerse the product in water for cleaning.

4. Before first use, perform at least one heating cycle while the product is empty.

NOTE: When the product heats up for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odour. This is normal and does not affect the safety of the product.

Using the product

1. Place the product on a stable, flat and heat resistant surface.
2. Keep the air outlet A5 at least 13 cm away from the wall.
3. Plug the power cable A6 into a power outlet.
4. Pull out both baskets A2 using the handles A3.
5. Place the perforated baking trays A4 in the baskets A2.

-Do not fill the inside of the basket with oil or other liquids. The product works with hot air.

6. Place the baskets A2 back into the product, using the handles A3.
7. Press the power button B8 to switch on the product.
8. Press the selection button B4 to select a basket.

i. The product starts in the manual mode with the default settings of 200˚C and 15 minutes.

9. Set the time and temperature with buttons B 10,11,12, or select a preset B13  using the preset selection buttons B9.

i. See ‘Presets’ for the temperature and cooking time of each preset.

  • Press the smart finish button B7 to delay the basket with the shortest timer so both baskets finish cooking at the same time.
  • Press the match cook button B5 to copy the settings of the selected basket to the other basket.

i. The selected preset icon blinks.
i. The time and temperature can be changed after a preset has been selected.
i. Add time as needed to preheat the unit.

10. Pull out one of the baskets A2 using the handle A3.
11. Place food into the basket A2.
12. Place the basket A2 back into the product, using the handle A3.
13. Press the start/stop button B1 to start. Depending on whether or not you have set the time and temperature for both baskets, only one or both switches on.
– The basket or the outer surface may get hot when the product is operating.

i. The product stops working when the basket A2 is removed.
i. Press the light button B6 to switch on the lights inside the product. The light switches off after 30 seconds.
i. When the timer ends, the product emits a beeping sound and the display shows “ 0000 “.
i. The fan automatically stops after 30 seconds.

14. Pull out the basket A2 using the handle A3.
– Be careful, hot steam may escape.

i. Insert the basket A2 back into the product and reset the timer and temperature if the food is not ready yet.

15. Place the basket A2 on a heat-resistant surface.
– Do not touch the perforated baking tray A4 with bare hands.

16. Remove the prepared food using a kitchen tong.

i. Do not use a metal tool to remove the food to avoid damaging the coating.

17. Press the power button B8 to switch off the product.

FAQ

Q: What should I do if I hear an alarm halfway through cooking?

A: For presets C1238, an alarm sounds halfway through cooking.
The shake indicator lights up; you should shake or turn the food  for better results.

Q: Can I change the time and temperature after selecting a preset?

A: Yes, you can adjust the time and temperature after selecting a preset to suit your cooking preferences.

Disposal

The product is designated for separate collection at an appropriate collection point. Do not dispose of the product with household waste.
