PRODUCT APPLICATION
READ ALL DIRECTIONS BEFORE BEGINNING PROJECT
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surface must be free of any dust, grease, oil, stains, rust or any other contaminants. Sand glossy surfaces before painting and wash walls if necessary. Fill in any cracks or holes to ensure a smooth surface. Drywall joint compound must dry for two days. New drywall and bare wood should be primed before painting. Allow new plaster to cure for 30 days before painting. Tape around the area you wish to paint before beginning.
WARNING: If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Before you start, find out how to protect yourself and your family by contacting the National Lead Information Hotline at 1-800-424-LEAD or log on to www.eps.gov/lead.
Gray basecoat or gray primer required for Charcoal and white basecoat or white primer required for Sidewalk Gray. Zinsser® Bulls Eye 1-2-3® gray primer is recommended on bare wood, drywall and other porous surfaces. Follow primer manufacturer’s instructions for dry time.
APPLICATION
Rust-Oleum Concrete Interior Wall Paint must be applied with a brush. The paint will be semi-transparent and allow the primer to show through giving the effect of concrete once dry. Stir thoroughly. For best results, use a 3″-5″ brush. Alternate brushing direction using a cross hatch pattern. Build concrete effect with multiple coats. Allow to dry between coats. Continue to use light, even strokes on subsequent layers allowing multiple layers to show through.
