ELASTOMERIC ROOF PATCH
DESCRIPTION AND USES
Rust-Oleum ® Elastomeric Roof Patch is a white, acrylic elastomeric roof
sealant intended for application to metal, asphalt, modified bitumen and most
single-ply roofs. The
highly flexible, rubber-like elasticity accommodates wide swings in
temperature and significant building movement. Rust-Oleum Elastomeric Roof
Patch is UV stable and may
be used to repair roofs and seal metal roof fasteners. For exterior use only.

PRODUCT APPLICATION
SURFACE PREPARATION
All surfaces must be clean, dry, sound and free from dirt, grease, oil,
mold, algae, loose granules, loose gravel, loose paint, rust, excess chalk and
other foreign matter which
could prevent proper adhesion. Rusted areas must be primed with Rust-Oleum
Universal Roof Primer or a similar product. Surface temperatures should be
under 100ºF (38ºC) to avoid premature curing. If the roof surface is hot,
apply a light water spray to reduce the surface temperature.
WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you may release lead
dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS
BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID
EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-Approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up
carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Before you start, find out how to

PRODUCT APPLICATION (cont.)
APPLICATION
Apply only when air, material, and surface temperatures are between
40-100ºF (4-38ºC) and the relative humidity is below 85%.
Apply with a brush or trowel (⅛-¼”) thick. Extend the material two inches on
either side when sealing fasteners. For added strength, reinforce seams and
repairs with Rust-Oleum Universal Patching Fabric between two applications of
Rust-Oleum Elastomeric Roof Patch.
COVERAGE
Approximately 12 square feet per gallon when applied at ⅛ inch (125 mils) wet
film thickness. Actual coverage may vary depending upon application method.
DRY & RECOAT TIMES
Dry and recoat times are based on 70ºF and 50% relative humidity. Allow to dry
at least 4 to 8 hours for a thorough dry before recoating with an acrylic
based roof coating. Product will reach full cure in 24 hours. Environmental or
site specific conditions may lead to a variation in dry time.
CLEAN-UP
Wash tools and equipment with soap and water. Wipe up spills before they dry.
Properly dispose of all soiled rags and containers.
LIMITATIONS
Do not store above 90ºF (32ºC). Apply only at temperatures above 40ºF (4ºC)
and when the surface temperature is under 100ºF (38ºC). Do not apply if rain
is expected within 48 hours of application or if the humidity is greater than
90%.
