ATTENTION
Use fibre tape immediately after opening. Exposure to air hardens tape and renders it unusable. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

Package Contents

  • 2 Rolls of Fiber Tape
  • 10 Large Lacing Rings
  • Sandpaper
  • Compression Roll
  • 2 pairs of Vinyl Gloves

HRD FORMULA CURES TO A ULTRA HARD SEMI-PERMANENT WRAP. REMOVAL WILL REQUIRE CUTTING TOOLS. Be sure to read the entire instructions before installing your Grip.

STEP 1

PREP INSTALL INSIDE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE , APX 65 TO 75 F.
Prepare the surface by cleaning the area where the grip will be installed. Mark off the area where you want to place the grip. If installing on a wooden handle, tape off the outside edges with masking tape to protect from resin.

STEP 2 – LACE

Stretch and place lacing rings to the desired spacing. Ensure that the rings are even and level on all sides. We recommend 1” to 1.5” spacing on handles and 3″ to 4″ spacing on long tools.

STEP 3 – WRAP

WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES
Put on gloves and open the Fiber Tape package. Begin wrapping Fiber Tape approximately 1” outside the first Lacing ring. Start from the working end of the grip and try to end wrap towards the shaft of the tool/handle. Complete two layers and begin wrapping on an angle with 1” of overlay per wrap. This will provide 2 layers of Fiber Tape throughout the grip. WRAP TIGHT! Excess Fiber Tape can be trimmed with a sharp disposable razor knife. Fold the cut edge underneath itself before laying it flat.

STEP 4 – WET AND COMPRESS

START A TIMER OR WATCH THE CLOCK FOR ACCURATE TIMING. SPREAD EXCESS RESIN EVENLY ACROSS THE ENTIRE GRIP. Slowly add HOT water to wrap by dipping fingertips in water to wet gloves and begin rubbing onto fibre tape in rotational movements. Keep hands wet and briskly rub and compress your grip. Continually rub and compress, wetting hands often for 8 minutes. At the 10-minute mark, wrap the grip tightly with the included cohesive compression roll, FireWrap Logo facing out. Maximize the coverage of the roll by limiting overlap and avoiding wrinkles. The cohesive material will stick to itself and can be left in place. LEAVE IN PLACE FOR UP TO 2 MINUTES AND REMOVE.

LET CURE FOR 2 HOURS. WEAR GLOVES WHEN HANDLING FOR THE FIRST 24 HOURS, UNCURED RESIN WILL STAIN SKIN.
The resin may continue to react and expand while curing. Expanded resin “fingers” can be sanded down or scraped off as needed.
