Intended use

The Nedis KAEP251EWT2 is a double hot plate with a 155 mm and 185 mm burner, providing a combined output of 2300 W. The product is intended for indoor use only. Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning. This product is intended to be used in households and similar applications such as kitchen areas. The product is not intended for professional use.

This product can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.

WARNING

  • Ensure you have fully read and understood the instructions in this document before you install or use the product. Keep the packaging and this document for future reference.
  • Only use the product as described in this document.
  • Do not leave children unattended when the product is in use to ensure that they do not play with the product. Always supervise children when the product is in use.
  • Do not let the children maintain or clean the product unsupervised.
  • Do not use the product if a part is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective product immediately.
  • Do not drop the product and avoid bumping.
  • This product may only be serviced by a qualified technician for maintenance to reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • Do not open the product, there are no user-serviceable parts inside.
  • Disconnect the product from the power source and let the product cool down completely before cleaning.
  • Disconnect the product from the power source and other equipment if problems occur.
  • Do not let children play with the packaging material. Always keep the packaging material out of the reach of children
  • Always keep the power cable and the product away from the usual walkways.
  • Keep the product at least 10 cm away from the wall or any other product.
  • Do not use the product without any cookware on the burner. Only power the product without cookware on the burner before the first use as an exception.
  • Only use cookware that is suitable for electric hot plates.
  • Never use the product with an external timer switch or remote control.
  • Only plug the power cable into a wall outlet. Do not use extension cables.
  • Keep the product away from flammable objects such as furniture, curtains and similar.
  • Do not place the product in a cabinet when in use.
  • Do not cook food directly on the burner. Always place cookware on the burner for cooking food.
  • Do not use the product for longer than 1 hour at a time.
  • Do not use pots or pans that are smaller or bigger than the burners orhaves an uneven bottom.
  • Do not leave the product unattended when switched on.
  • Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents when cleaning the product.
  • Do not immerse the product, the power cable or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Always unplug the power cable from the power outlet when not in use.
  • Be careful when handling the product. The product is subject to residual heat after use.
  • Do not disconnect the product by pulling on the cable. Always grasp the connector and pull.

Before first use

  1. Remove all packaging material, protective stickers and covers from the product.
  2. Place the product on a stable, flat and heat-resistant surface.
  3. Plug the power cable A4 into a power outlet.
  4. Set both temperature control dials A3 to the highest temperature.
  5. The power indicator LEDs A2 light up. Allow the product to burn off residual manufacturing oils for approximately 2 – 10 minutes.
  6. When the product heats up for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odour. This is normal and does not affect the safety of the product.
  7. The product is ready for use when the light smoke has cleared and the odour has faded.
  8. When the cooking is finished, set both temperature control dials A3 to “0” to switch off the product.
  9. Be careful when handling the product. The product is subject to residual heat after use.

Using the product
Only use cookware that is suitable for electric hot plates.

  1. Place the product on a stable, flat and heat-resistant surface.
  2. Plug the power cable A4 into a power outlet.
  3. Place the cookware on one of the burners A1.
  4. Set the temperature control dial A3 to the desired temperature.
  5. Do not use pots or pans that are smaller or bigger than the burners or have an uneven bottom. The power indicator LED A2 lights up.
  6. Both burners A1 can be used simultaneously.
  7. When the cooking is finished, set both temperature control dials A3 to “0” to switch off the product.
  8. Unplug the power cable A4 from the power outlet.
  9. Allow the product to cool down. Be careful when handling the product.
  10. The product is subject to residual heat after use.

Disposal

The product is designated for separate collection at an appropriate collection point. Do not dispose of the product with household waste. For more information, contact the retailer or the local authority responsible for the waste management.
