Safety precautions and warnings

  • Before using, read the operating instructions attentively and keep it for the entire period of use. Use the device only for its needed purpose as directed in this manual. Improper use of the device may result in damage to the device, injuring the user or damaging the property.
  • This appliance is intended for domestic use only. The device is not intended for industrial or commercial use, or for use:
    • at kitchen areas for staff in shops, offices and other industrial premises;
    • in farmhouses;
    • by clients in hotels, motels, boarding houses and other accommodations.
  • The device is intended only for household use in the premises. Commercial use and use of the device in production areas and working premises is forbidden.
  • Before plugging in the device, make sure that the voltage indicated on the device corresponds to the voltage of the power supply in the building.
  • The manufacturer assumes no responsibility in the event that this safety standard is not complied with.
  • Do not use non-standard power supplies or other connected devices.
  • Do not stretch, bend, or lengthen the power cord as this may result in its break.
  • During the operation of the appliance, the power cord must be unrolled to its full length.
  • Use the device indoors only.
  • Always preheat baking plates before starting to cook.
  • The temperature in rooms where the appliance is used must be in the range of +5 °C to+ 40 °C.
  • To avoid electric shock, do not use the device in rooms with high humidity.
  • Do not touch the power plug or the appliance with wet hands.
  • Keep the power cord away from sharp edges and hot surfaces.
  • The appliance must not be left unattended when connected to power.
  • Avoid touching the metal parts as they become very hot.
  • Avoid the water spilling or any other liquid on the device, power cord and plug.
  • If the appliance falls into water, unplug it immediately. In this case, do not put your hands in the water. Before further use, the appliance must be checked by a qualified specialist.
  • Do not use the device near heat sources or open flames.
  • Do not immerse the device in water or any other liquids.
  • The device is not intended for operation with an external timer or a separate remote control system.
  • Always place the appliance on a flat, dry and stable surface.
  • Install the induction plate on a horizontal surface, at a distance of at least 10 cm from the wall and other objects.
  • This will promote good ventilation.
  • Do not use the appliance on a metal table.
  • Do not move the plate during cooking.
  • Do not place magnetized objects, such as credit cards, etc., on the plate during its operation.
  • Do not heat closed cans on the plate. They can explode.
  • Never place flammable surfaces (such as tablecloths or carpets) on the appliance. Do not use flammable substances, acids or alkalis near the appliance. This may cause a fire.
  • Attention: Do not use glass, ceramic or aluminum utensils for cooking. Utensils should be at least 12 cm in diameter and 2 to 6 mm thick at the bottom.
  • Persons with pacemakers should be at a distance of at least 60 cm from the induction plate during operation.
  • To avoid burns, do not touch the work surface during and immediately after cooking. During the operation of the product, the work surface is not heated, but it is heated by hot dishes.
  • Unplug the appliance from the mains when you do not use or before its cleaning. When unplugging the appliance, do not pull on the power cord but pull directly on the plug.
  • Switch off the appliance and unplug it from the mains before changing accessories.
  • Always unplug the appliance when unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
  • Do not use the appliance if the mains plug or power cord is damaged, if the appliance operates intermittently, or after the appliance has been dropped.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Attention:  If the surface is cracked, turn off the appliance to avoid electric shock.
  • Clean the device regularly.
  • Never use sharp or abrasive items in contact with the baking plate as this can damage its surface.
  • Metal objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids should not be placed on the plate as they may become hot.
  • Do not leave children unattended near the device.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (as well as minors) with reduced physical or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge.
  • This appliance may be used by children aged 8 and over if they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the appliance and understand the possible dangers.

  • Children should not play with the appliance.
  • Cleaning and maintenance is possible for children over 8 years of age under supervision.

  • For the safety of children, do not leave plastic packages that are used as packaging unattended.
  • Use the accessories recommended by the manufacturer only.
  • The appliance must not be immersed in water.

  • Do not repair or take apart the device by yourself. If any malfunctions occur, as well as after the device has fallen, unplug it from the outlet and contact the nearest (authorized) service center by the contact addresses indicated in the warranty card or on the website www.magio.ua.
  • To protect the environment, when the operating life of the oven came to the end, do not dispose the device with household waste, but take it to a designated collection point for recycling.
  • Do not put the appliance in the dishwasher.
  • Store the appliance in a cool dry place out of the reach of children and people with disabilities.
  • The device should only be transported in its original packaging.
  • Surfaces with marking (page 44) heat up during use.

Suitable utensils for use with induction plates

  • For cooking on an induction plate you need to use special utensils made of stainless steel, stainless iron or cast iron.
  • The bottom of the dish should be fiat, and the diameter-from 12 cm, but not more than 20 cm.
  • Make sure that the bottom of your utensil is smooth, fits snugly against the glass and matches the size of the cooking zone.
  • Utensils must be magnetized. You can check this with a regular magnet (use only utensils where the bottom can attract a regular household magnet).
  • It is strictly forbidden to use utensils with a bottom diameter of less than 12 cm!
  • Utensils should have a fiat bottom.
  • Steel, cast iron, enameled cookware, stainless steel for induction heating and cookware made of non-stick enameled steel are suitable for cooking on an induction plate.
  • The bottom of the utensil should have clear ferromagnetic properties.
  • When buying new utensils, pay special attention to the diameter of the base. Because the manufacturer often specifies only the diameter of the rim of the upper edge.
  • Be very careful when using cast iron cookware that has bumps or burrs. The use of such utensils can cause scratches on the surface of the plate.
  • When moving kitchen utensils, always lift them to avoid scratches and abrasions on the plate.
  • Unsuitable utensils for use with induction plates
  • Do not use utensils with a spherical (non-flat) bottom or on foots.
  • Do not use non-magnetic utensils.
  • Do not use ceramic, copper, aluminum and heat-resistant glassware, as well as non-magnetic stainless steel cookware.

Attention:  Do not use aluminum, copper and ceramic utensils, as well as utensils with a bottom diameter of less than 12 cm and more than 20 cm.

Note: Always lift the cookware directly from the plate, do not move it, otherwise it may scratch the surface of the induction plate.

Before first use

  • After transportation or storing the device at a low temperature, keep it at room temperature for three hours at least.
  • Unpack the device completely and remove any stickers and packing materials that are obstructing the device.
  • Check the integrity of the device. If it is damaged, do not use it.
  • Wash carefully the induction plate with wet cloth and wipe it dry.
  • Place the plate on a flat, hard and dry horizontal nonmetallic surface away from heat and open flames.
  • Make sure that there are no decorative coverings, electrical appliances and other objects nearby that may be affected by high temperatures.

Note: For proper ventilation of the appliance, the distance from all its surfaces to the walls must be at least 10 cm.

Operation

  1. Connect the device to the network.
  2. Place suitable cookware in the center of the heating. Before doing this, make sure that the bottom of the cookware and the surface of the plate are clean and dry.
  3. Press the ON / OFF button. The characteristic start-up sound will be heard. After that, you can select the required cooking mode (table below).

WARNING: Be careful when frying, as oil and fat heat up very quickly. At very high temperatures, oil and grease ignite spontaneously and this is a serious fire hazard.

Note:  For programs with manual adjustments: If after a 2 hours of cooking there is no press button to change the cooking mode, the appliance will switch off automatically (except of the timer). You can also press the timer button to set the time of the induction plate work. The available range of time: is from 1 minute to 3 hours.

Note: For programs with automatic adjustments:

  • the power cannot be adjusted.
  • the display shows the power indicator and the time remaining until the end of the operating mode.
  • The working surface must be cleaned of dirt after each use.
  • Operation noise is normal. The cooling fan is running.

The induction plate has different power types on both sides

  • Left:  200, 500, 800, 1000, 1300, 1600, 1800, 2000.
  • Right: 200, 500, 800, 1000, 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500.

Timer function

  • When the device is connected to the network, press the Timer button to set the timing.
  • The display will show a zero countdown.
  • Press«+» or«-» to select the required time.
  • Once you have set the desired time, wait 5 seconds for the timer to start counting down the program time.
  • The time range for the Timer function is from 1 minute to 3 hours.

Note: Due to the continuous process of making changes and improvements, there may be some differences between the manual and the product. The manufacturer hopes that the user will pay attention to this.

Reservation mode

  • When the device is connected to the network, press the Timer button to set the desired countdown time.
  • The display will show zero countdowns.
  • Press «+» or«-» to select the required time.
  • Press the button for the desired program of work.
  • Once you have set the desired time, wait 5 seconds for the timer to start counting down until the program starts.
  • The program will start after the set timing has elapsed. Reservation time range is 00:01 – 24:00 hours.

Cleaning and maintenance

  1. Unplug the device. Make sure the it is cooled down.
  2. Wipe the case and work surface with a damp cloth.
  • Do not use flammable, aggressive and abrasive substances such as acids, thinners, gasoline, or powder detergents for cleaning.
  • Do not clean with metal or other types of abrasive scouring pads or scrapers.
  • Attention:  Do not immerse the device in any liquid, rinse it under running water or place it in the dishwasher.

Storage

  1. Before storing the device for long-term storage, clean it and dry it thoroughly.
  2. Store the device in a cool dry place out of reach of children and people with disabilities.
  3. It is advisable to store the device in its original packaging.
