Safety precautions and warnings

Before use, please read this user’s manual carefully and keep it for the entire period of use.
Use the appliance only for its intended purpose, as specified in this manual. Improper use of the appliance may lead to its breakdown, causing harm to the user or their property.

  • The appliance is intended for domestic use only. The appliance is not intended for industrial or commercial use, as well as for use:

  •  in kitchen areas for staff in shops, offices and other production facilities

  • in farmhouses

  • by clients in hotels, motels, boarding houses, and other similar places of residence

  • Use the appliance indoors only.

  • Do not touch the appliance body, power cord and power plug with wet hands.

  • Do not spill water or any liquid on the appliance, its power cord and plug.

  • Do not immerse the body of the appliance in water or any other liquid.

  • If the appliance falls into water, unplug it immediately. In this case, do not put your hands in the water. Before further use, the appliance must be checked by a qualified specialist.

  • The temperature in rooms where the appliance is used must be in the range from +5 °C to +40 °C.

  • Before connecting the appliance to the mains, make sure that the voltage indicated on the appliance matches the voltage of the mains supply in your house.

  • Keep the power cord away from sharp edges and hot surfaces.

  • Do not stretch, bend, or lengthen the power cord as this may result in its break.

  • During operation of the appliance, the power cord must be unroled to its full length.

  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a specialist.

  • Do not use the appliance if the mains plug or power cord is damaged, if the appliance operates intermittently, or after the appliance has been dropped.

  • Place the appliance on a flat dry and stable surface.

  • The appliance must not be left unattended when connected to power.

  • Do regular cleaning of the appliance.

  • Do not leave children unattended near electrical appliances.

  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including minors) with reduced physical or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and over provided they are supervised or have been instructed on the safe use of the appliance and understand the resulting risk. This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities if they are supervised or have been instructed on the safe use of the appliance. Children must not play with the appliance.
    Cleaning and maintenance can make children older than 8 years under the supervision of.
    The appliance and its cord must be kept out of the reach of children under 8 years of age and persons with physical or mental disabilities if it is under voltage.

  • For the safety of children, do not leave plastic bags that are used as packaging unattended.

  • Use only the accessories that are recommended by the manufacturer.

  • Protect the appliance from drops and bumps.

  • Do not repair the appliance yourself. Do not disassemble the appliance yourself, if any malfunctions occur, or after the appliance has been dropped, unplug the appliance and contact the nearest (authorized) service center at the contact addresses specified in the warranty card and at www. magio.ua.

  • To protect the environment at the end of its service life, do not dispose of the appliance with household waste, but take it to a specialized recycling center for further disposal.

  • The unit should only be transported in its original packaging.

  • Always unplug the appliance if it is left unattended and before assembling and disassembling or cleaning it.

  • When unplugging the appliance, do not pull on the power cord but pull directly on the plug.

  • Place the appliance on a flat, dry and stable surface.

  • It is forbidden to add perfumes, vinegar, starch, antiscale agents, ironing liquid and other substances to water.

  • Choose a place to operate the stove at a distance of at least 30 cm from the walls and furniture, otherwise the work of the steam generator can lead to deformation or discoloration.

  • Do not use the device near flammable substances.

  • During operation, the appliance produces a hot steam that can cause burns. Be careful when working, do not touch the nozzles and do not allow contact with hands or other parts of the body with hot steam.

  • It is forbidden to send the steamer to people, pets, the appliance itself or electrical outlets.

  • Avoid any contact of the operating device with skin, hair, face, eyes.

  • Never damp clothing on a person.

  • Do not open the water inlet holes during ironing.

  • Do not cover the spray holes or allow foreign objects to come into contact with them.

  • Allow the appliance to cool completely before packaging it.

  •  The garment steamer shouldn’t be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage, or if the garment steamer is leaking.

Note

In the water tank may be residues of water – this is a normal, as in the production of the appliance passed quality control

Sphere of use

The garment steamer can be used for all types of fabrics and for smoothing the folds on the clothes. If you are in doubt about the use of a vaporizer for a particular type of fabric or clothing, refer to the label on the product. If there is no such information, try to evaporate the fabric from the back side.
For steaming fabrics such as silk and corduroy, keep the garment steamer at a distance from the product.

Unpacking and assembly

After transporting or storing the appliance at a low temperature, keep it at room temperature for at least three hours.

  1. Check the integrity of the appliance; if damaged, do not use the appliance.
  2. Remove any stickers and packing materials that interfere with the operation of the appliance.

Before using for the first time

  1. Screw the steam pipe to the steam port of the main device and tighten it directly (pic. 1);

  2. Insert the adjustable tube into the device hole (pic. 1);
    Note Insert with force, do not worry about damage, directly press it to the end, or it will shake unsteadily

  3. Open the snap and lengthen the tube (pic. 2);
    Note There are three sections of the tube. Adjust the height of the tube according to your requirements.

  4. Assemble the hanger (pic. 3);

  5. Put the hanger on the top of the adjustable tubes (pic. 4);

  6. Fix the ironing board on the adjustable tubes (pic. 5);

  7. You can place the ironing board vertically or horizontally (ріс. 6,7);

  8. Place the steam nozzle on the hanger;

  9. Turn on the water tank knob and fill the tank with water;

  10. . After filling with water, tighten the water tank knob, then put the water tank into the device (pic. 8);

  11.  Clean the holes on the soleplate so the dirt, perhaps caught in the holes during the manufacture of the appliance, could not stain the fabric.
    Note Before switching on the unit, make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the voltage specified on the body of the unit.

  12.  Unreel the cord and plug into an outlet.

  13. Turn the power button.

  14. Before using the appliance for the first time steam a piece of unnecessary fabric, this will remove any impurities and odors that might have been left by the manufacturing process and to make sure the surface is clean enough.

  15. When the appliance is not in use, turn the power button to the «Off» position, then disconnect the appliance from the power supply and put it back in place.

Operation

  1. Remove the water tank.

  2. Pull up the cower of water tank and carefully fill the water tank with cold water.

  3. Close the cower of water tank.

  4. Install the water tank back correctly and monitor the water level to prevent water shortages during use.

  5. Select the necessary position of the board:
    – Vertical ironing scheme (Fig. 6);
    – Flat ironing scheme (Please adjust the height of the device according to your requirements) (Fig. 7);

  6. Unscrew the power cord for the entire length and insert the power cord plug into the wall outlet.

  7. Turn the power button.

  8. Launch the first portion of the steam before starting work, as it may contain droplets of water.

  9. When finished, turn the power button to the «off» position and disconnect the appliance from the mains.

  10. After about 30 minutes, when the device cools down, drain the water from the tank and remove the device for storage.

Warning!

» Do not turn on the device without water.
» Before filling water, please pull out the plug first.
» Use only distilled water for pour into the water tank.
» Do not fill the water tank beyond the MAX indication.
» Do not use hot water, the water temperature should not be higher than +50 °C.
» Do not add perfume, vinegar, magnetically treated water, starch, descaling agents, ironing aids, chemically descaled water or other chemicals as they may cause water spitting, brown staining or damage to your appliance.
» Do not use your bare hand as a supporting surface when you steam.

User manual

  • The appliance can be used for creating a natural look and for quick touch-ups. For garments with tough wrinkles and for a more formal look, it is recommended to use an iron instead.
  • You can wrinkle garments more easily if you spread the laundry properly after you have washed it. Hang the garments on hangers to dry them with fewer wrinkles.
  • When you are steaming, press the steamer head against the garment, and pull the sides of the garment with your other hand to stretch it.
  • Keep the steamer head a slight distance away from dresses with frills, ruffles, ruching or sequins.
  • For garments with buttons such as shirts, jackets and pants, close the first button to help straighten the fabric. To steam sleeves, start from the shoulder area and move the steamer head downwards. Steam while you pull the sleeve diagonally down with the other hand. For shirt pockets, move the steamer head upwards while pressing against the fabric.
  • During the steaming, small wet spots may appear on your clothes. Also because of the steaming, the clothes may be a little wet. After steaming, leave the clothes to dry before fold in place or wear it.

Clean and care

  1. Unplug the appliance.
  2.  Allow the device to cool down.
  3. Always empty the water tank after use, to prevent scale build-up. Rinse the water tank to remove any deposits.
  4.  Wipe any deposits off the steamer head with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive liquid cleaning agent.

Warning!

  • Do not use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as alcohol, petrol or acetone to clean the appliance.
  • Don’t immerse the unit into water.
  • Don’t use sharp or abrasive to clean the appliance.

Storage

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Clean the unit before taking the unit for storage.
  3. Empty and allow to drying out the water tank.
  4. Wind the power cord.
  5. Keep the unit in a dry cool place out of reach of children and disabled persons.
  6. Always keep the garmen steamer in an upright position.
