Intended use

The Nedis KAAF170BK is a hot air fryer with a 7.2 litre capacity. The product is intended for indoor use only. Do not let persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge of how to operate, use the product. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product. This product can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision. The product is intended for use in household environments for typical housekeeping functions that may also be used by non-expert users for typical housekeeping functions, such as: shops, offices other similar working environments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments and/or in bed and breakfast type environments. Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning. This product is designed for private use (normal domestic use) only. Nedis is not responsible for wear, defect, and/or damages caused by commercial use of the product.

Safety instructions

WARNING

  • Ensure you have fully read and understood the instructions in this document before you install or use the product. Keep the packaging and this document for future reference.
  • This product is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or a separate remote-control system.
  • Only use the product as described in this document.
  • Do not use the product if a part is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective product immediately.
  • Do not drop the product and avoid bumping.
  • This product may only be serviced by a qualified technician for maintenance to reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • Do not expose the product to water or moisture.
  • Only use the provided power cable.
  • Do not let water enter the product.
  • Disconnect the product from the power source before service and when replacing parts.
  • If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similar qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
  • Do not use an extension cable.
  • The surfaces of the product get hot during use.
  • Keep the product and power cable out of reach of children under 8 years of age.
  • The door or the outer surface may get hot when the product is operating.
  • The heat of the product may cause damage to the surface the product is placed on. Always place the product on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface to prevent damage to the surroundings of the product.
  • Never pour oil into the basket.
  • Do not obstruct or cover the product’s air outlet.
  • Unplug the product from the power source and other equipment if problems occur.
  • Do not plug or unplug the power cable with wet hands.
  • Do not unplug the product by pulling on the cable. Always grasp the plug and pull.
  • Do not let the power cable hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Keep the product and power cable out of reach of children under 8 years of age.
  • Do not use a timer or a separate remote-control system that switches on the product automatically.
  • Do not allow this product to come in contact with curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels or other flammable materials during use.
  • Do not use any accessories that are not included.
  • The use of accessories not recommended by the product manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
  • Place the product on a stable, flat and heat resistant surface.
  • Do not leave the product unattended when switched on.
  • Allow the product to cool down before cleaning it.
  • Allow the product to cool down before storage.
  • Do not touch the hot parts of the product directly.

Before first use

  1. Remove all packaging from the outside and inside of the product.
  2. Clean all parts that come into contact with food with hot water and dish soap. The perforated baking tray A5 is dishwasher safe.
  3. Clean the outside of the product with a soft clean, damp cloth.
    • Do not immerse the product in water for cleaning.
  4. Before first use, perform at least one heating cycle while the product is empty.
    • When the product heats up for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odor. This is normal and does not affect the safety of the product.

Using the product

  1. Place the product on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface.

  2. Keep the air outlet A1 at least 13 cm away from the wall.

  3. Plug the power cable A6 into a power outlet.

  4. Pull out the basket A3 using the handle A4.

  5. Place the perforated baking tray A5 in the basket A3.

  6. Place food into the basket A3.

    • Do not fill the inside of the basket with oil or other liquids. The product uses hot air to cook your food.
  7. Place the basket A3 back into the product, using the handle A4.

  8. Press the power button B3.
    he product starts in the manual mode with the default settings of 200˚C and 15 minutes.

  9. Set the time and temperature with buttons B4 and B56, or select one of the presets B1 with the mode button B7.See image C for information on the presets.The selected preset icon blinks. The time and temperature can be changed after a preset has been selected. Add time as needed to preheat the unit.

  10. Press the start/pause button B8 to start or pause the timer.

    • The basket or the outer surface may get hot when the product is operating.
    • The product stops working when the basket is opened.
    • When the timer ends, the product emits a beeping sound.
  11. Pull out the basket A3 using the handle A4.

    • Be careful, hot steam may escape. Insert the basket A3 back into the product and reset the timer and temperature if the food is not ready yet.
  12. Place the basket A3 on a heat-resistant surface.

    • Do not touch the perforated baking tray A5 with bare hands.
  13. Remove the prepared food using a kitchen tong.

    • Do not use a metal tool to remove the food to avoid damaging the coating.
  14.  Press the power button B3 to switch off the product. The fan automatically stops after 20 seconds in standby.

Disposal

The product is designated for separate collection at an appropriate collection point. Do not dispose of the product with household waste. For more information, contact the retailer or the local authority responsible for the waste management.
