The BY-M1 Pro II, a universal lavalier microphone with an omnidirectional mic capsule, features 360 degrees of sound pickup, which is compatible with smartphones, tablets, PCs, cameras, audio recorders, etc.
BY-Ml Pro II has a 6m (19.7′) audio cable in length, increasing the additional space for movement and usability. With the -1 OdB mic gain setting, it quickly lower the level when the subject sound is very loud and close to the microphone, making sure the recording is always clear. With a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom, it allows users to monitor sound in smartphone mode. It is suitable for interviews, live streamings, speeches, and more.

Product structure

1. Lavalier Microphone
   • For picking up sounds.
2. Camera/Smartphone mode toggle
   • Camera mode: For working on cameras, mixers, audio recorders, amplifiers, and other recording devices.
   • Smartphone mode: For working on mobile devices like smartphones, tablets, and PCs with a 3.5mm input jack.
3. 3.5mm connector
   • For connecting to the smartphone, camera, camcorder, or other recording device.
4. OdB/ -1 OdB setting toggle
   • Toggle between OdB and -1 OdB mic gain settings according to the recording environment. When switching to the -1 OdB, the audio will be recorded in -1 OdB in case the recording gets distorted due to loud sound sources, or the subject’s voice is not heard due to ambient noise.
5. 3. Smm headphone jack
   • Plug in a 3.5mm TRS headphone to monitor the recording when in the Smartphone mode.

How to Use

Mounting the microphone to your clothing
Attach the microphone to the front of your clothing with the included mic clip, about 20-25cm (8-10 inches) from your mouth.

NOTE:
It is recommended to use the included foam windscreen at all times to avoid wind noise, even when recording inside.

Using with a camera/ other recording devices

1. Slide the “Camera/ Smartphone mode toggle to the Camera mode.
2. Connect the BY-Ml Pro II to the microphone port of a camera, audio recorder or other recording devices via the 3.5mm connector.
3. You are ready to record.

NOTE : Not all cameras have a microphone input. Verify this with your camera manufacturer. Many cameras have some ports that look similar to a microphone input such as a headphone jack and a remote control jack. Make sure that you are using the correct one.

Using a smartphone/ tablet/ laptop

1. Slide the “Camera/ Smartphone mode toggle to the Smartphone mode.
2. Connect the BY-Ml Pro II to a smartphone, tablet or laptop via the 3.5mm connector.
3. Open the audio or video recording app and start recording.

NOTE : BY-Ml Pro II can only be used on laptops with an integrated jack for the headphones and the microphone.

Monitoring audio via the 3.5mm headphone jack

After recording, plug your headphones into the jack to monitor the audio.

NOTE : Only in the Smartphone mode, headphone monitoring playback is allowed.
