Operation:
Before Installation, please make sure all devices you want connected have been turned off. Ensure that your output devices support the same frequency and resolution settings as the source device.
- Connect the HDMI plug of the converter to the HDMI input of your device such as a laptop or PC.
- Connect a VGA cable (not included) to the output of the converter and the input on your VGA display.
- Connect the 3.5mm audio cable to the output jack on the converter and the audio input jack of your laptop or PC if audio is required.
- Power on all the connected devices such as the display and laptop or PC and switch the source input of the display to VGA.
Note:The image does not need to be adjusted; the converter will position it automatically.
Troubleshooting:
Not Turning On/Intermittent Signal:
- Check the refresh of the VGA monitor is set to 50 or 60HZ otherwise the device will not match with your HDMI source.
- Ensure the VGA display and HDMI input supports the required resolution. If they don’t match, then you will need to switch the VGA display or HDMI input resolution so that it supports either 1080p,1080i, 720p, 576p or 480p.
- Connect a micro B USB cable (not included) to the input of the converter and the plug to a USB port on a computer or USB power supply. This should make the signal stable as some devices require additional power.
- The VGA cable connected between the display and converter maybe faulty, connect a different cable and try again.
No Audio Output:
- Switch the audio output as HDMI otherwise it will still be coming out of the laptop or PC.
