Product Description

The cooking result of each dish depends on many variables. The cooking time, temperature, weight and volume of the food influences the result.

For presets C1, 2, 4 – 8, two-thirds into the cooking time an alarm is heard for 10 seconds. The shake indicator lights up. Shake or turn the food for better cooking results.

Intended use

The Nedis KAAF180BKW is a hot air fryer with a 7.2 litre capacity.
This product is intended to be used with the Nedis SmartLife app.
The product is intended for indoor use only.
Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning.

The product is intended for use in household environments for typical housekeeping functions that may also be used by non-expert users for typical housekeeping functions, such as: shops, offices other similar working environments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments and/or in bed and breakfast type environments.

This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision. This product is designed for private use (normal domestic use) only. Nedis is not responsible for wear, defect and/or damages caused by commercial use of the product.

Safety instructions

Indication for a hot surface. Contact may cause burns. Do not touch.

WARNING!

Electrical hazard:

  • Do not use a timer or a separate remote-control system that switches on the product automatically.
  • Do not expose the product to water or moisture.
  • Do not let water enter the product.
  • Do not use any accessories that are not included.

Fire hazard:

  • Do not use an extension cable.
  • If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similar qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • This product may only be serviced by a qualified technician for maintenance to reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • Disconnect the product from the power source before service and when replacing parts.
  • Do not use the product if a part is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective product immediately.
  • The use of accessories not recommended by the product manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
  • Do not leave the product unattended when switched on.
  • The heat of the product may cause damage to the surface the product is placed on. Always place the product on a flat, stable and heat resistant surface to prevent damage to the surroundings of the product.
  • Never place this product on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in such a place where it could touch a heated oven or microwave. Do not allow this product to come in contact with curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels or other flammable materials during use.
  • Do not obstruct or cover the product’s air outlet.
  • Do not plug or unplug the power cable with wet hands.
  • Unplug the product from the power source and other equipment if problems occur.
  • Do not use any accessories that are not included.
  • Allow the product to cool down before storage.

Burn hazard:

  • Do not touch the hot parts of the product directly.
  • The basket or the outer surface may get hot when the product is operating.
  • Allow the product to cool down before cleaning it.

Choking hazard:

  • Keep the product and power cable out of reach of children under 8 years of age.

CAUTION!

Tripping hazard:

  • Always keep the power cable and the product away from usual walkways.

NOTICE

Risk of damaging the product:

  • Never pour oil into the basket.
  • Do not drop the product and avoid bumping.
  • Do not let the power cable hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not unplug the product by pulling on the cable. Always grasp the plug and pull.

Before first use

WARNING!
Electrical hazard:

  • Do not immerse the product in water for cleaning.
  1. Remove all packaging from the outside and inside of the product.
  2. Clean all parts that come into contact with food with hot water and dish soap. The perforated baking tray A5 is dishwasher safe.
  3. Clean the outside of the product with a soft clean, damp cloth.
  4. Before first use, perform at least one heating cycle while the product is empty.
    When the product heats up for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odour. This is normal and does not affect the safety of the product.

Using the product

WARNING!

Burn hazard:

  • The basket or the outer surface may get hot when the product is operating.
  • Do not touch the perforated baking tray A5 or basket A3 with bare hands.

NOTICE

Risk of damaging the product:

  • Do not fill the inside of the basket with oil or other liquids. The product works with hot air.
  • Do not use a metal tool to remove the food to avoid damaging the coating.
  1. Place the product on a stable, flat and heat resistant surface.

  2. Keep the air outlet A1 at least 13 cm away from the wall.

  3. Plug the power cable A6 into a power outlet.

  4. Pull out the basket A3 using the handle A4.

  5. Place the perforated baking tray A5 in the basket A3.

  6. Place the basket A3 back into the product, using the handle A4.

  7. Press and hold the power/start/pause button B3.
    The product starts in the manual mode with the default settings of 200˚C and 15 minutes.

  8. Set the time and temperature with the time/ temperature selection button B7 and the + and – buttons B56, or select one of the presets with the mode button B4.
     See image C for information on the presets.
     The selected preset icon lights up.
    The time and temperature can be changed after a preset has been selected.
     Add time as needed to preheat the unit.

  9. Pull out the basket A3 using the handle A4.

  10. Place food into the basket A3.

  11. Place the basket A3 back into the product, using the handle A4.

  12. Press the power/start/pause button B3 to start or pause the timer.
     The product pauses when the basket is pulled out.
    When the timer ends, the product emits a beeping sound.

  13. Pull out the basket A3 using the handle A4.
    Be careful, hot steam may escape.
    Insert the basket A3 back into the product and reset the timer and temperature if the food is not ready yet.

  14. Place the basket A3 on a heat-resistant surface.

  15. Remove the prepared food using a kitchen tong.

  16. Press and hold the power/start/pause button B3 to switch off the product.
    The fan automatically stops after 15 seconds in standby.

Switching the alarm sound on/off

Press the + and – buttons B5 6 for 3 seconds to switch on/ off the alarm sound.

  • The product beeps twice to indicate the alarm sound is switched off.
  • The product beeps once to indicate the alarm sound is switched on.

Disposal

**** The product is designated for separate collection at an appropriate collection point.
Do not dispose of the product with household waste.
For more information, contact the retailer or the local authority responsible for the waste management.
